  1. No, they gave it to Amaram, who threw it down in front of Odium. Then Odium noped out of there, so Szeth was able to recover it.
  2. When Venli talks about the gemheart, she doesn't make any inference that they're different between forms.
  3. The density of the bolts shouldn't really affect the effectiveness of the weapon, though? It's sharpness and size that really makes a difference.
  4. Sorta yes sorta no. He could have probably gotten through the rock on his own, but getting Jasnah to Soulcast the stone was both faster and let him observe her.
  5. That's the Traveler excerpt. And I think it heavily implies he wants to bring someone back from the Beyond, and was willing to help Shatter Adonalsium in order to change the rules enough for him to do that. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/332/#e9518

    The Returned

Theoretically, I can't think of anything that would say a Returned can't Return again. Practically, a Returned who'd died likely had either completed the goal they were sent back for, or had failed at the goal. So either one wouldn't really make the person a good candidate to Return again.
  7. @The traveller You'll want to spoiler the Warbreaker stuff since this is the SA forum. I think it's more likely that the Heralds work the same way as the other Cognitive Shadows stapled to bodies behave. For instance, Leshwi, when she came back and got a new singer body, because of her self-perception, the skin patterns were exactly the same in both bodies.
  8. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say here? It's pretty hard to change your self image, whether you consider yourself attractive or not.
  9. Her name is actually Shalash. And apparently Brandon wasn't going for Ashyn-> A Shin.
  10. They want to. It's part of their nature.
  11. They're Cognitive Shadows stapled into bodies, so similarly to others who are in that state, they likely have some control over their appearance, and appear as how they see themselves.
  12. Okay, yeah there are Mistborn and Mistings. But the Mistings don't get their power because of the Mistborn, so it's really not at all similar to Squires?
  13. I'm kind of confused as to what you're saying here. Mistborn are Allomancers, they don't have Allomancers? They also don't have followers who are granted Allomantic powers from being followers.
  14. Wyndle says he could have bonded to a cobbler, not that he did. He didn't. The cobbler was bonded to a Truthwatcher spren because, as you said, he has Regrowth, but his spren very clearly was not Wyndle or a cultivationspren. Ym was Iriali, living in Iri.
  15. The Stormfather has confirmed that the Oathpact was to bind the Fused to Braize. Odium being bound was before that.
  16. We only see one small part of Shinovar for about five minutes from one person's PoV. I wouldn't take that to be the standard for the entire region.
  17. The descriptions we have of the two Truthwatcher spren do match. And The Stump's spren. Plus Wyndle says he's the only one that was sent.
  18. Good point. I didn't see this part before. The cobbler, Ym, was bonded to a Truthwatcher spren, not Wyndle. He had Regrowth, so it was either Edgedancer or Truthwatcher. The spren he describes doesn't look anything like Wyndle, but does match the descriptions of the Truthwatcher spren. Venli is bonded to a Willshaper spren, not a Truthwatcher spren. And yes, it's heavily implied that Timbre is Ico's daughter.
  19. It's like, an apple is an apple, whether it's fresh off the tree or a bit wrinkled and old. You still have one unit of apple either way. One tastes better, but they're both still 1 apple.
  20. It's not surprising because the singer gemheart doesn't sound like a polestone. There aren't any cloudy white polestones on the list. So more likely, humans did desecrate their bodies for a while, until they were convinced there was nothing useful there, then stopped.
  21. Her being emotionally traumatized to the point of being senseless does not equal her being stuck in the Physical Realm. I'm not saying she was or she wasn't. I'm saying there's no proof that she was stuck in the PR. It's possible that some particular types of Radiant deaths can strand the spren in the PR, but I really doubt that most spren get stranded after their Knight dies. Let's just agree to disagree.
  22. Spren consider losing their minds to be dying. And without being bonded to a person, they lose their sapience. And Brandon said that the Radiant dying doesn't damage the spren. Ergo, Radiant dying doesn't strand them in the PR without a bondmate.
  23. I would doubt it was in the Physical Realm, but either way, being stranded in the Physical would mean losing their sapience, and Brandon's said that the death of a Radiant doesn't substantially harm the spren, other than emotionally, like the loss of a close friend or loved one.
  24. Helaran wasn't a surgebinder yet. He was an acolyte, but hadn't earned a spren (which is done ~the 3rd Ideal for the Skybreakers). Regular dead Shards drop for the next person to pick up. Spren seem to be able to transition back to the Cognitive Realm and choose a new bondmate. Or perhaps are passed on to a successor. Sometimes, perhaps only when the Radiant hasn't quite bonded yet or is just on the cusp of bonding, the spren might get stranded in the Physical, like Elhokar's spren did.
  25. Hmmm could have been, Still, pretty close.
