  1. In order to persist as a Cognitive Shadow, you need to have enough investiture to persist. It doesn't really matter what state your body is in, or how strongly your spirit is connected to things. Without that infusion of investiture, you're drawn Beyond.
  2. He also mentions rocks and spheres and rockbuds and boots a million times each. Not everything has significance. I'm not saying it can't, I'm saying, I don't think it's significant. It's simply describing a type of growth, imo.
  3. It's not likely to be the Unmade. It's almost certainly the Sibling that's associated with Urithiru. Whom I think is most likely an entity that is a mix of Honor and Cultivation. We haven't seen a Radiant bond a non-H&C spren. Cultivationspren are still spren that are of Honor+Cultivation. Renarin is the only one that comes close, and that's more corrupted than pure Odium. We've seen what happens when a human tries to bond with an Unmade or even a lesser voidspren, at Thaylenah, and it's not pretty.
  4. It'd still be a weird ending to Brandon's opus to let Rayse get away like that.
  5. I doubt Rayse is going to be the final big bad. That would mean that Stormlight ends without him/Odium being dealt with, which doesn't sound very fulfilling to me.

    Trell is Trell?

FYI, this post is a year old. In general, it's a better idea to create a new topic rather than "necro" an old one, unless there's significant new information to be added.
  7. The Aons at the center of the Seons are Splinters of Devotion, yes.
  8. Hey, fyi, this thread is five years old. Generally, you're going to want to create a new one rather than "necro" an old one like this. Welcome to the Shard!
  9. It's not two dimensional, it's just flat and consecutive. But it has length, width and height.
  10. In general, they're going to be about the future. Occasionally about the past, but you should figure they're about the future.
  11. FYI, this thread is over two years old. You generally want to start a new one rather than "necro" an old one such as this.
  12. ...then why do you keep arguing for it?
  13. I feel like most people getting a Shardblade would end up like these guys
  14. I kinda disproved you already, up there.
  15. It's a difference in how Honorblades work vs how the Nahel bond works. Szeth isn't able to heal a Shardblade wound with Stormlight since he's only using an Honorblade. A Knight with a spren (or squires) can heal Shardblade wounds. Brandon's compared it to Honorblades being v. 1.0, and living Shardblades being v. 2.0.
  16. I feel like the difference in species, physiology, and methods of thought would make this an extremely difficult and unlikely proposition.
  17. Ambition might have big enough pieces left that someone might be able to take up some Splinters, but they'd be like a bucket next to an ocean, imo. At most, a lake compared to an ocean. The Stormfather I would put as close to a lake in size, and Odium already realized that he can't leave the Stormfather the way he is.
  18. You can find it on Arcanum, wob.coppermind.net. Search for "bond+multiple+spren" or some variation of that, I think.
  19. Have you citations from the text that foreshadow this to be the case?
