I don't think it's ever been brought up, though that might be because I can't find any good Poison Ivy stories (that arne't about her relationship with Harley Quinn). ...I'd actually be inclined to say "no", though. After all, Ivy thinks of plantlife as her babies. The idea of her eating a salad seem's... at odds with that philosophy. I think she's supposed to be one of those plant-based villains who feed via photosynthesis... though now I have this amusing idea of her ordering a huge, bloody red steak..

...Also, yes. I agree with the sentiment.

So... after seeing the newest episode, I have a headcanon: Rainbow Dash is a parrot. More specifically, my headcanon is that she has a griffon ancestor, and that said Griffon had the plumage, colouration and general attitude of a parrot. It explains the rainbow mane, which seems to be a fixture of her family exclusively, and why Rainbow, apparently, has a penchant for imitating other ponies. Seriously, between the last few episodes, and the Griffonstone ep last year, Rainbow seems to be developing a habit of imitating other ponies. ...Also, more music? I know Lullaby for a Princess is popular -for very good reason- but... I think I prefer this one. Possibly because it feels moe like a "legite" song inspired by MLP, rather than a specifically MLP song...? I dunno. But, I like it, so. Here. Also, Aviators! I get that the song is about Luna being contrite and wanting to make up for what she's done... but everytime I hear these lyrics, I interpret it as Nightmare Moon lying and trying to convince Celestia that "I'm totally okay now, so you can, like, let me come home now, right?" There's just a lot of tonal shifts in it that make me think of it as an act, rather than a legitimate reform (especially the "You'll never know the hell I've been through," line, which seems built to inspire guilt, rather than express contriteness for her actions). And... this is the kind of song that makes me call Celestia Best Princess. She get's hit, knocked down, losses everything, over and over... and gets right back up and does it all over again. It makes her a hard character to write, sure... but I also find it makes her fascinating. Celestia is basically the Superman of MLP... so no wonder everyone prefers Batman Luna. Plus, the chorus is awesome. And one more cause, hey, if I'm gonna put my play list here, might as well go all in... Any Fallout:Equestria fans?

A very minor side note amongst proceedings: We're now five episodes without anyone even mentioning Dorne, right? Are the writers just flat out pretending that storyline never happened?

So, I know Brandon apparently plays Magic:The Gathering, and there is a thread on the subject in this very forum. But...anyone got any ideas on how to turn the Cosmere into it's own card game? I mean, we have an official mistborn RPG, and I'd be surprised if Stormlight Archive didn't get one of it's own eventually... So what about card games? Anyone got any ideas on how to make one of those?

If you're going that route, it would have to be in reverse; play Vanilla's, prove activity, then get Epic's. Then repeat that process to get a High Epic; otherwise, it leaves the possibility to only have one High Epic character and not play anything else at all. Which is part of the problem to begin with, isn't it?

This...this is strangely relevant to a conversation I'm currently having. Are you spying on me?

I have no choice. The first one sucked. Like, seriously; it had negative value. And yet, I must go and see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. I mean, Beebop and Rock steady are draws, certainly...but Steven Amell. I feel obligated to support Oliver Queen.

Ollie's reaction to her would be hilarious. I can see him complaining that, between her and Barry, heroes keep getting younger and younger. ...also. Justice League? With Supergirl, we'd have a pretty solid Trinity. Science (Barry), Alien (Kara), Magic (Ollie). ...oh my god. Oliver Queen is Arrowverse Wonder Woman. He's from an island, he's willing to use violence if necessary, and he dabbles in magic!

Okay, gonna ask; what's the status with Salem's plotlines? Trying to figure out what, exactly, I should be posting there...

So... is anyone else watching season six of Game of Thrones? Considering we have no offically passed beyond the realm of the books, I've started watching it; kinda curious if I'm alone, or if anyone is checking it out as well.

I'm on episode three, so I couldn't really say. At this point, I'm thinking I'll get Arrow/Flash/Legends done, then start bingewatching Supergirl once the season is complete.
-
I'm still making my way through Arrow, Flash and Legends (since we're a few weeks behind)... and the UK hasn't even finished airing season 1 of Supergirl yet. Supergirl's move to CW is interesting though, and I do wonder how they'll play that. Keep her as a separate world in the multiverse? Have Kara land in the Arrowverse, and angst about not being able to get home, Power Girl-style? Straight-up Arrowverse!Kara reboot? The interesting thing is, in the Arrowverse, there is no Superman. Barry plays the Superman role as the "inspiring hero" figure... which means Kara would have a very interesting situation if she moved to that universe. She is literally out of her cousin's shadow, since... he doesn't exist on this Earth.

The UK has some kind of brony convention... But even if I could stand large crowds (I can't), and had the money to go (I don't), I probably wouldn't. Besides the odd looks I'd get from my parents...well, I'm too shy for conventions. Actually, since people are talking about music... Anyone got any good brony music recommendations? (And I'm absolutely not just putting a bunch of my favorite songs here as a shortcut to save me the effort of going to youtube, nope...) For my money, Sylphstorm is one of the best musicians in the fandom; pretty much this whole playlist is awesome in one way or another. Aviators is another good one, who also happens to do more than just brony music. I haven't heard much of Psychgoth's stuff, but Spirit of Fire is one of my favorite and most listened to songs... super ridiculous 80's Top Gun Wonderbolt theme? Yes please! And, if you want to listen to a two-some hour long album - because obviously, why not?- there's always Destiny: A Tale of Unicorn Wings on bandcamp.

This is the Bryan Singer X-Universe.They shall wear leather. And they will all be the Black Ranger. (Seriously, after how colourful the suits were in First Class and Deadpool, kinda disappointing to go so serious again.)

I heard a word the other day, and it's made me start thinking: necropunk. Like... the traditional Necromancer, but filtered through a perspective of it as an 80's-style alternative, punk rock subculture. or a society which is literally built upon the bones, bodies and labor of the dead... who might be dead, but aren't gone.

...I think I maybe saw the first three or four episodes this season...? I mean, I have them all recorded. And they are On The List, along with Supergirl... but I'm curious. Overall, what did people think of this season?

How long does the piece have to be? I'd suggest building up a bit more tension at the beginning with Marx, before Johnny arrives. Have him drinking, throwing back the shots, and make some kind of comparision between his mind set and the jazz. You called Jazz "order out of chaos"... so maybe stretch that a bit. Show some of his own thoughts, racing wildly; his own self-justifications, like how he 'had to do it', and it was 'just business'. Build up to the moment when the record suddenly stops. Because, if the jazz is meant to be giving some kind of order to the world and to his thoughts, then when it stops is when everything goes out of control.
