This is really good artwork. I don't think it's as strong as Hot Dadinar or Badassnah, but I think that comes down more to the pose than anything else; him looking straight on isn't as dynamic as their postures. I also have to give the caveat that this isn't how I picture Renarin... but then, the fun of fn enterprises is seeing different interpretations, so! Yes. Overall, I like it.

I picked up some comic books. This line. Wow. "Don't objectify me. I'll make you bleed. I'm a weapon." I'll be honest, I don't know whether that's cringe worthy, or hilarious.

So, question. If using a Fire Key for the first time grants you access to Fire magic as a well of power... How does that differ from the Exos Keys? Aside from how time/money consuming it would be, wouldn't buying and using a key from each element have the same effect?

Um. Okay, so. Here's a...peeve, I suppose. Anxiety might be a better word...? Whenever I post on a forum, or talk to friends, or workers, or do...anything that involves a reaction? I sort of... Panic. And start worrying what everyone will think of me. And worry that everyone is watching me and judging me. Sorry.

The 'Godkiller' plotline starts with issue #1. Which is why I found this issue so weak, really. I read Rebirth; so I was able to follow the issue clearly. But I shouldn't have had too. Flash Rebirth hits a lot of the same beats with Wally, but not as well as Rebirth itself...and doesn't set it's own stuff up as well.

I object. Surely 'gun control' should be on that list?

Just to reiterate, I don't think of it as a measure anymore...but when I was younger and more concerned with that sort of thing? Absolutely something I thought about. So, Er...yeah. Apologies for the thread de-railing? As I say, it was anexperience I was just curious about asking.

New Rainbow Dash Presents! ...do...do I need to give context, or...? Okay, if you don't know, there's a series on YouTube called 'rainbow Dash Presents'. It's an MLP parody series, as might be imagined from the title. The premise is a parody version of Rainbow Dash reading fanfic. It's a pretty funny series, though the characterisation derives from another parody series. Point is, Rainbow Dash Presents is great, with a series of videos to it's names. And a new one, based on a fic called 'the Star in Yellow' is due for release on the 18th. I'm so excited! Yes!

So, being a fan of the Arrowverse, I decided to pick up the Flash.

I don't know if I'd say he was forgettable, but the writers definitely focused more on Snart, and overshadowed him. Mick saving Ray way back at the prison was probably his first signs of being more than he seemed. (Him now being, like, the most experienced team member is an interesting twist too)

So...random question, on the topic of gender (but mostly from an artistic point of view). I...don't write as much as I should. But when I do, I tend to write female characters. Between Oregon (and off site), I have three active Rpg characters; all female. When I play a game, if there's a female option, I'll usually go with that (on the second playthrough, at least). My brother gave me grief over it when we were younger, too. I admit, that stuff? Part of why I used to question my gender/sexual identity. These days, I've reached a point where I just kinda shrug and go along with it... But I'm curious if anyone else has thar feeling, where you feel particularly comfortable writing for the opposite gender.

Well, Legends of Tomorrow's UK finale is this week, so I'm getting caught up on the show in prep for that. Then, finally getting started on Supergirl. Three things I've noticed: -Brandon Routh would have made a great Superman if he'd been allowed to channel even a fraction of his Ray. -Mick is a fascinating character. I liked him earlier in the season, where he seemed like he had unexplored depths; great to see him getting some attention. -This show is absolutely nonsensical. Entertaining, absolutely, and I'm glad it exists, but damnation if it's rules make negative sense. Still a fun ride though; they do spectacle well. -Caity Lotsz is awesome. And yes, tat means these are four points, but really, you could say Caity Lotz is awesome anywhere and it would be true.

Twi, don't read this.

I know this is a serious complaint, but. I've recently been watching a Let's Play/Abridged series where characters argue about sociological stuff, including logical fallacies, so I'm kind of giggling at this right now.
-
So... I understand that Let's Plays are a Popular Thing? ...I've never really watched any. Which s why I'm posting here. Maybe saying I've never watched any is an exaggeration; I'm a big fan of the 'Ramble with Rae' series... but those videos are more like a Parody Series than a Let's Play, so I really don't think they could, exactly. The same goes for the Abridged Snakes; great show, but not exactly a Lets Play. So... does anyone have any recommendations? Comedy would be a plus!

Honestly, I don't care where the Gate is so long as we get more Greyview in the meantime. "Gate not important. Nod head. Get treat."

I'm going to go on a limb and say Stormlight is your favorite book...? Welcome!

I'm going to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 this evening. The snark bait. It will be glorious.

Well, first of all, you should probably read Watchmen either way. It's considered a seminal work of the genre, and it's a standalone piece, so you can't really go wrong reading it. As for DC Rebirth as a whole... I wouldn't say you need to read those to get into it. Rebirth isn't so much a reboot as a reset; the stories are still continuing from the New 52; it's just that they are going to be introducing stuff from the Old DC Universe back into things... But they'll wheel that out in a way which is accessible, I'd imagine. So, yeah, pick heroes you like and just start there would be my recommendation, too. It's part of why I opened this topic, to be honest; I'm hoping enough Sharders read enough books that we can put together a decent list of "Books That Are Good" Well, that's the big question, in and out of universe, so... RAFO, I guess? It seem's to be the new meta plot for the DCU for the next few years, but hopefully it'll amount to more than Pandora did...

I haven't come up with a name for the concept, but I guess the idea, would be 'husband-in-law'? In practical terms, it would pretty much obligate all of them into an alliance together. Which...could get unwieldy if I don't establish some hard limits on how many partners someone can have, since you could end up with everyone married t everyone. I suppose it's...sort of like World War One. There are huge networks of alliances, so one person attacking another would basically result in a HUGE war...so everyone is sort of, bought in to making that that kinda thing doesn't happen.
