  1. ...I'm not.I mean...maybe I'm a minority. And don't take this to mean I don't want to read the next Stormlight, because I do... But honestly, its third place in what I'm excited and waiting for, behind Nightblood and Mistborns second trilogy.
  2. Brandon is writing about fluffy pink unicorns?
  3. ...Can I offically add that this plot point confused me? Like, a lot? I agree with Wolverine; that passage seemed to suggest that Renarin was responsible for writing the numbers. But I was sure that there was at least one occasion where it was set-up like a locked room mystery, where the only person in the room was Dalinar and the only person who could have written them was Dalinar. If nothing else, it seemed a little odd to me that absolutely no one noticed Renarin entering or leaving Dalinar's room, particularly since Dalianr's seizures became camp gossip. Was there something I missed or misinterpreted?
  4. I don't keep up with WoB's, but at the very least, I know that the Great Rosharan Migration is a theory, based upon Roshar mythology. According to Vorinism (and the Coppermind), the Tranquiline Halls were the home of humanity, before the Voidbringers attacked and threw them down to Roshar. Part of the point of the Callings is to prepare humans for retaking the Tranquiline Halls in the afterlife. So, according to Vorin mythology there was a forced migration to Roshar on the part of the humans (which incidently makes me wonder how Parshendi fit into their cosmology). I think a popular theory among fans is that "The Tranquiline Halls" were Yolen, and thats a metaphor for how humanity spread from there to Roshar, though thats not confirmed.

  6. I am very curious as to how you described it to those kids. Right now, my theory is that you confused them by talking about Funtimes, epics and ponies, and they all checked out Steelheart to try and make sense of things... but I am willing to accept other theories.
  7. Sorry for never really doing anything; aside from my general inactivity, I never really got around to actually building a character beyond that initial concept, so, uh... Sorry?
  8. The Joker isn't in the picture for some reason; neither is (spoilers if you didn't know/don't want to know, I guess?)
  9. The worst part is that this basically confirms we won't get a Suicide Squad series based on the Arrowverse. I've been thinking about that ever since season 2, and it would have been perfect. The setup of the Squad let's you rotate characters in and out, every episodes mission could be different (ranging from high octane action to low-key stealth), every character has to have a past which let's them straddle the line between villain and anti-hero, and the series has some cool villains you could immediately bank on. (Seriously CW, make a show staring Manu Bennet as Death stroke. I will watch every episode of that). Yeah, the Arrow and Flash series aren't perfect... but not doing a Suicide Squad series seems like such a missed opportunity.
  10. Alloy of Law seems like pretty good setup for a magic police procedural story, in my opinion.
  11. Brandon Sanderson is Doctor Octopus? I'm not sure how to feel about this head canon.
  12. Suicide Squad Cast Picture, apparently. Also, Will Smiths "full" costume.
  13. I think Iron Fist is one of the characters lined for an upcoming Netflix series.
  14. Why, Brandon would have to be some kind of crazy robot who accidently writes sequels to the books he's currently writing to be as active as Kobold and still produce books.
  15. Still thinking about the latest episode, but one thing that didn't take much thought.
  16. Explaining Worldhoppers The climax of Hero of Ages
  17. Yeah; spoilers! Anyway, on a different note... I got the Fiendship is Magic comics! Like... Literally, just got them. I've been unwell this week (usually go up on the last wednesday of the month to get all my comics at once), but I was able to pick everything up today. ...And in case you ddn't know: Fiendship is Magic is a 5-part event IDW did this month. Each week they released a story about one of the major villains of the series, each by a different artist and writer. The five issues are Sombra, Tirek, the Sirens, Nightmare Moon and Chrysallis. Like I said, I haven't read them yet, but at a glance, they seem kind of fun; the covers are pretty awesome.
  18. I'm not the biggest Marvel fan, but there were some big changes. Ultron in the comics is significantly less human (as well as having a different origin), and the Banner/Natasha romance was all new. Theresca few comics the story draws inspiration from, but it doesn't adapt a single Ultron story, so much as borrow elements from a bunch of Ultron stories. (Funnily enough, the Age of Ultron comic event is not one which influenced this film, not to mention being...not so good on its own merits.)
  19. WoR Spoilers.
  20. Urgh. So, I spent most of today passed out, and my waking moments have been plagued with aches and pains throughout my body, and an overwhelming urge to just crawl up in a ball and wait for the sweet embrace of death/sleep. My back aches, my stomach aches, my eyes hurt, and I feel all around kind of terrible. And it just so happens when I finally have a few decent fic ideas and deadlines I need to get them done by. I repeat: Urgh.
  21. Yeah- seeing Rainbow Dash actually break down into tears like that was... Feels. Feels were had. ...So, on a somewhat unrelated note, does anyone here play the MLP card game? (Well, the CCG one. There is another game available online, which I hear is good btu I've never played it.) Anyway, some photo is making it's way around sites, allegedly from an upcoming set. I figured I might as well post it since... Nightmare Star. Not exactly what I picture when I think of evil!Celestia, but still pretty cool. I love how she looked the elemtns of Harmony- the superweapon in the MLP universe- and decided "these things would look great embedded in the base of my throne so everypony knows how awesome I am." Solar Empire is the best Empire.
  22. Sandstorm is totally a pokemon move. I like this theme.
