  1. Well, I'd join up, but I'm not sure if I quite "fit" any of your orders. Still, good luck when the Repstorm cometh. (I mean, I guess rep equals popularity, maybe?)
  2. Ah. Okay thanks!- I've heard good things about the first five seasons of Supernatural, but never actually watched any of it. The only alternative I could think of was 'Superman'and honestly, I'd love to see a story where the Doctor lands somewhere and goes on an adventure with a famous historical figure...in this case that being 'Clark Kent'.
  3. I'm starting to wonder if the black magic love services are an unintended side effect of this lol. ...uh. Question. I get what Wholock is. What's the Super- part from?
  4. YES. Ship Vin with all of the people.Like Shan. She seems perfect as an "evil" mentor romance. Or Hoid. Worldhopper romance!
  5. I have never played a dating sim game. I would play the hell out of this game. Hilarious doesn't quite begin to sum up how insane this would be, and if i don't start to get some kind of hint as to how those various romances end, I'm going to feel very cheated, (VinxTheLordRuler OTP)
  6. First you claim to have green eyes when your picture say's they're blue, now you claim to be lighteyes when you have the rank of a dark eyes. I am beginning to have serious reservations with regards your so-called identity. ...But yeah, to add to what Mistrunner said: Mistborn is another great series by Brandon. But, it's actually getting a couple of sequels at the end of the year, so my general recommendation would be to start the series a little closer to their release date and just read through them all at once. They are pretty short (at least compared to the Stormlight Archive), so it shouldn't take that long. No opinion on Elantris, since I haven't read it.
  7. Warbreaker is my favorite novel, and its available for free on his site, so I'd recommend starting there.
  8. If you have green light eyes, why is your user picture sporting blue eyes? What ate you hiding, hmm...? Conspiracies aside, welcome. Have you read any other Brandon books?
  9. I'm afraid I haven't read Steelheart...but its prompted a vibrant RPG community here, so I'm guessing it must be pretty good.
  10. So, I mentioned this series waaaaaaay back when I first joined the forum, but never got around to starting a topic about it. I wanted to wait until the last volume was released... and then I... forgot about it? Oops. Anyway, I'm starting the topic now. Has anyone else here read Locke & Key?
  11. A Warbreaker fan? Awesome! Anyway, welcome. I'd recommend the Way of Kings (and Words of Radiance); it might be a nice break from the Mistborn books, but Alloy has some sequels coming out at the end of the year/begining of next year, so it might help to read Alloy closer to their release date.
  12. I'd recommend Words of Radiance. Mistborn is getting some more sequels at the end of the year, so I'd actually suggest putting WoA at the end of your list; if you time things right, you could probably jump straight from the old trilogy and hit the new one running, while still keeping things fresh for the Stormlight Archive. Besides, I want to be able to talk about stuff that happens in those books to you.
  13. No - but she was their Shardbearer, and had a reputation for being able to 'control' her forms to an extent. The parshendi had no idea what Stormform would be like, or what impulses it would bring with it.Having someone like Eshonai tell everyone how great it is would make converting others easier. Besides, wasn't it implied Venli had already tried Stormform? The whole thing was manipulation, in my opinion, to make Eshonai volunteer for the reasons above.
  14. In all seriousness (and no offence), but I wouldn't actually hug anyone. I have a bit of OCD triggered by touching people/things/being places... But it seemed funny to suggest so...I did. Sorry if I offended anyone though.
  15. Why, Twilyght! Are you a Les Mis hipster? But... I need to read the book sometime. Honestly, my school skipped a lot of that "Classical Literature", and I need to get caught up on it.
  16. Yeah. (I mean, technically, it's 'The Last Battle' with Susan, but that's being pedantic)
  17. After a young girl comes out of the closet, she and her family join a religious cult; when one of them leaves the group, the rest respond by slandering them to everyone who will listen.
  18. So, I mentioned this in the meme's page, but I'm curious about what everyone else thinks, so I thought I might as well do a topic dedicated to it. On that same note, I am aware that there are "Mistborn casting" and "Warbreaker casting" posts... but I figured having a thread for Brandon's works, in general, would be fine. So, if you have any particular casting or actors you picture for any of Brandon's books- Cosmere, Rithmatist, Reckoners, whatever- post it here! ..Unless someone decides we don't need this thread in which case it will probably just be deleted, in which case, just post in whatever casting threads are currently active in sub forums. Anyway. The thing that prompted this is the fact that, to me, Edward James Olmos is the face I picture when I think of Dalinar, his role as Adama specifically.
  19. ...I am serious about that, by the way. When I picture Dalinar, that's the guy I see. On comedic news, with spoilers... WoR spoilers
  20. YOU GET DOUBLE HUGS. You clearly need them.
  21. We need to test this fact with science. Everyone, line up for hugging.
  22. ...I have a crime to confess. A horrible, horrible crime. I kind of like Russel Crowe's Javert. I mean... I know it's ridiculous. And he's not a good singer, and he sounds really awkward, but for some reason, I just... like it? Proof (if ever any was needed) of my lack of musical credentials. (Though I do find Javert fascinating as a character. My only experience of Les Miserables is the recent movie, so maybe I don't have room to talk, but I just love the confrontation between Javert and Valjean before the second time skip when their fighting. I think it's just a great look at what motivates Javert and his mindset)
  23. Avatar: The Legend of Aang?
  24. Well, I failed Kaymyth anyway. Sorry! Still, it being taken down explains why I couldn't find it. Still a shame though. Would it help if I apologised and introduced myself as Barry?
  25. Warbreaker spoiler
