  1. I would guess that Night blood is black in part because he absorbs breath, soul and, color from a victim. We know that the black liquid and smoke are corrupted breath so its possible that the color is a similar off shoot. Night blood is more likely to just absorb the breath you are trying to use to awaken something.
  2. But over all health could be improved greatly extending your life, but remember age just makes you more susceptible to illness. Just staying 30 for 30 years could conceivably extend your life just by preventing the health effects of aging from damaging your life sooner.
  3. Well the two are basically the same thing, ruin and preservation do have the same origin so its not totally impossible.
  4. I think everything but could be he has some particular issue with the other shards.
  5. That just made my day.
  6. So you would need a spiritual particle accelerator too? @Natc Don't be silly lerasium would automatically be of preservation by default
  7. As far as I can remember night blood is never used unscathed on a living person and denth implied that if he had used the sword to kill arsteel that a body would have been around after words. basher does make lifeless And wall vanish with night blood but not living flesh
  8. Sure just build that particle accelerator and get on it. Though you would need to at least know what your trying to make I'm sure to help the cognitive aspect. All investiture is basically the same And is everywhere.
  9. All things react to magnetism it just varies from thing to thing and in what direction the reaction occurs
  10. You imply that it is not possible.
  11. I read this and all i can think of is a 12 year old looking like he is 35 to get into bars and clubs. made me chuckle. Smart plan though.
  12. Depends on if you count lerasium as a new element because it was created specifically to create Mistborn. Atium was created by preservation as well to steal power from ruin. Both new as far as I can tell.
  13. Feruchemy is in part from Ruin so his tampering there makes sense. As for the aluminum thing i believe that it is possible. For how allomancy interacts with metal, it does so because of the bond that ruin and preservation have with the metals of the planet. When one of those shards looks at metal it is like looking at a bright light they know its their they see it but can not focus on it. That is why things written in metal are not visible to them but at the same time that makes all metal react to their powers on a different level then the normal physical level we experience.
  14. For some reason I thought I heard it needed to be scadrial metal
  15. @Kurkistan Oops stupid phone sorry @Moogle I am a little confused by one thing your saying that a person with a charged spike is drawing on said spike. I do not see that as being a good explanation of how hemalurgy works. So in my understanding hemalurgy steal a attribute tied with investiture. Then when outside a body that bleeds of slowly, then after being placed in a New spirit web it bonds to and enhances that web. So in the case of taking allomancy it's not allowing you to draw on the spikes charge to power the allomancy but enhances the the amount you can draw on from the metals. Spiking someone should create about as much investiture as chaining a misting to someone. Side thought any one know if a sentient awakened object made of scadrial metal could be used for hemalurgy or would there be no space for the hemalugic charge?
  16. @Kurkistan I agree with your post about what happens but the user never touches the investiture in feruchemy the investiture acts as a gate keeper. Think ram memory on a computer while powered information is available to be used but when power lost information lost. The energy used was the user's energy investiture bonds with it in the metal and stores it then releases it back to the user never interacting with the user. When stored energy is burned by a twin born then investiture is burned with and amplifies the type of energy stored. I hope that made sense. That is how I have always thought of feruchemy Edit: Fixed kurkistans' name
  17. A change in their personality could simply be that without Ruin to egg them on to kill, like he did to so many others TLR included and with Harmony to whisper peaceful things in their mind maybe they simply over came some problems. Harmony and Ruin could easily talk to anyone with a spike. The other thing to think about is preservation put some of himself into humanity to create them. It is possible that each person living holds a small portion of both ruin and preservation but more preservation than ruin. It was the reason he had to trap ruin is he was no longer equal in strength to ruin and had to trick him and divide his power so Vin would later be able to kill Ati and Harmony could be created. If each person alive holds a small portion of preservation than in theory with a high enough population Preservation's power goes down. Granted the number of living people needed to make a difference in preservation power is massive somewhere in the billions or trillions probably. Sorry Point was each person little bit of the shards. The Spirit web not infinite but finite. Also I don't think whats stored in a metal mind is actually investiture just a record.
  18. Thank you for looking that up. Granted most common metals have some allomantic property.
  19. I thought that non allomantic metals were inert and bad alloys will make you sick or even kill you. It was my understanding that burn rate was set by the metal not surface area. the reason they used metal in powder/shavings form was so they could better control the amount of metal used at any time so as to not have any toxic metals in their bodies that night. This also prevents waste of metals.
  20. Would it be a fair parallel to say that the physical realm is similar to the Matrix, in that the spiritual and cognitive are the programming and the physical is the GUI? Lots of stuff going on behind the scene controlling what everything is and does, although the cognitive is a little closer to a developer interface when someone visits.
  21. Ok so then you would need to reclaim something like 50% from a group of people to gain access to the person's power. being there is no way to tell how much you got if any it makes stealing from none powered relatives harder.
  22. So Coppermind has this saying they do not have to die. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Hemalurgy#cite_note-qa-689-28-2 See as the Lord ruler got older he needed more youth to burn. So yes feruchemy and allomancy used atium to store/burn stored youth. Hemalurgy how ever can use atium to steal any attribute allomantic, feruchemic or human. Being old is a human attribute and as such should be something that can be stolen if you know the bind point. The Lord ruler only knew a few bind points.
  23. To awaken maybe but once awakened I think most had a fair amount of power once awakened. I mean a coin shot that can't move a coin faster than a BB gun is not very useful.
  24. Youth not vitality would be the most accurate term though maybe still not accurate enough but, youth to off set the old of your soul is the best way to describe the process. Vitality would be more appropriate term for a gold feruchemist's increased health or even a person burning pewter. As a side question anyone know weather SDNA and a spirit web are the same or is there some difference? Also are those a persons soul or just a part of the soul?
