  1. I wonder what would happen if you hit Sazed with a hemalergic spike. I think necrosil is the one that steals investiture. I wonder can you spike something non living and give it life. That would be the way to do it one thousand small spikes full of what ever the koloss spikes were, I think would be good.
  2. It is possible that while doing this favor for Heleran he had not expected to be sent to a surgebinder. I would guess that Heleran was wrong about the strength of his sisters will. The whole family did treat her like a broken doll which she was when Heleran left. Shallan was changing and growing in strength by the time Hoid arrived

    Eyes

Remember there is a marked difference from kaladins light eyes and a normal light eyes. So I don't think that a normal human would be unable to qualify as a light eyes
  4. So so far this is what i have found The betrayal of spren has brought us here. They gave their Surges to human heirs, But not to those who know them most dear, before us. ’Tis no surprise we turned away Unto the gods we spent our days And to become their molding clay, they changed us. —From the Listener Song of Secrets, 40th stanza Smokeform for hiding and slipping ’tween men. A form of power—like Surges of spren. Do we dare to wear this form again? It spies. Crafted of gods, this form we fear. By Unmade touch its curse to bear, Formed from shadow—and death is near. It lies. —From the Listener Song of Secrets, 51st stanza “And the Parshendi I killed?” “We’ve talked about this. It had to be done.” “And what if one of them was a Surgebinder,” Kaladin said. “With his own honorspren?” “Parshendi can’t become Surgebin—” WoR -ebook 1119.6 / 2391 Kaladin cut her off but I would bet that word finished "ders" Parshendi however do form some other bond with spren and share some special connection and may even be able to join with honor spren to make something like a surgebinder but not with the same powers would be my guess. It could be possible for a parshendi to join an order but, not be a true surge binder.
  5. So i just read that part again with Eshonai and how I saw it was maybe the spren forced her to attune a new song and maybe that song was who she was before the change and the song may be the key to how the listeners broke away from their gods originally . On a side note at one point Syl says that Parshendi can not be surge binders. This makes sense when you figure that they don't have a spren they act almost like un-bonded spren in the physical world(ie no mind to speak of).
  6. Interesting idea. Welcome. I have always thought Hoid did things for what he deems good not what anyone else might deem to be good. But he does have a history of doing good things.
  7. David would be proud
  8. Ya I recall something about that but nothing concrete from the book just hints.
  9. I suppose he may be able to perfectly hold stormlight unlike humans
  10. Ok so would you say not that it changes but that roshar pushes out power to bonds and each bond works as a unique filter granting something different based on the bond maybe using categories like spren type and originator of bond? Also on a different note I wonder if vasher instead of needing to absorb storm light is simply able to exist because he is there with all the extra investiture On account of him being a spontaneous intelligent entity made of investiture in a host body. Becuase wouldn't he die during the weeping
  11. But the bond is not the same maybe not greater or lesser not its not the same as before. think of it as a small change in the color of something. Still blue but not true blue.
  12. How is that different?
  13. True it is just a theory. I was told this when I said similar Around Mar 20th, 2014, Brandon Sanderson said Quote Around Oct 1st, 2013, Brandon Sanderson said Those were show me by Moogle.
  14. The thing is if a Seon and its bonded human traveled to Roshar it should change how the bond works and provide something else. That is if i understand correctly the WoB that I read. I wonder if a returned can bond. Being a similar entity to Nightblood who creates a bond so he can communicate with people.
  15. He could use a super steel push using compounded iron to increase weight compounded gold to repair any damage to himself and with steel and duralamin and a couple of steel hemelergic spikes create a mass cannon to fire a metal rod at a city and basically nuke the city. Although he could just sit in a tower and then super generate weight all at once and boom weigh enough it would create the same thing. of course he could punch so fast as to create a shock wave and destroy things that way. He would need gold compunding to heal himself every time.
  16. So while reading other posts a thought came to me. Any entity of investiture can bond with someone. We have nightblood as an example. Bonds come in different forms and require different things. We also know that chasm fiends have a symbiotic bond with a specific spren so do chulls. At one point pattern states that void bringers have their own spren and that without humans he and his kind may not continue to exist. anyways what if Rashadium are similar to chasm fiends in having a bond to a spren. They Like spren who bond with humans are granted greater intelligence as well as size. From my reread they have fur coats like normal horses they are just much larger and intimidating. So what if you could force a spren bond using a captured spren. We know little about Rashadium and nothing about their breeding. what if Rashidium have gem hearts and are made from an artificial bond by the Radiants and the Rashadium continue to pass it down the line to their offspring. Not all bonds grant surges so it could be possible Also what if you had to implant a gem in the body it create the artificial bond creating a gem heart that grew over time in the body and providing a place for storm light to gather and support growth. Maybe that is why chasm fiends pupate so they are exposed to a high storm and can use the energy to grow. Edit: Forgot to mention Seon bonds and the unique bonds the Listeners have with spren. I wonder if the one who inistates the bond changes the way the bond works and what it grants?
  17. I think natc is saying only odium is limited to this solar system now. He clearly having been able to move about in the past. So unless some force has locked the shards in their relative locations then other shards should be able to move at will. After all everything we know points to them choosing the planets they ended up on in the first place.
  18. I have to say an arm less man charging me with a shard blade in his mouth would be terrifying.
  19. Its all about cost. A breath used like that can't be recovered. A horse could work hard but would wear its self out and break down after a few weeks of work and you would always be replacing bits. Humans are fairly low impact on movement day to day unlike work animals. I wonder if you left the flesh could you replace bones with metal. I know you can do the opposite.
  20. It was my understanding that awakening was found after that point. Other wise yes it would not matter.
  21. It has to be a manufactured and could have only appeared after the first returned. Possibly only after the Manywar though most likely has been around in Hallandren for some time before that. Only an awakener of the third heightening can master the language.
  22. And less expensive.
  23. Its possible that if a shard plate bearer lost one or both arms and only stubs of shoulders that the upper part of the armor would start molding its self to cover the holes.
  24. Even none money gems are of value if they hold storm light.
  25. Yes they can use a special shield to block a strike or two. Shard blades weigh less then a normal blade of that size.
