A sum of zero gained rep, but a gentle message spelled in red pixels.

Speculation is that Koloss were made a true breeding, sentient race with the extra Ruin Investiture he had, the bit of extra power that caused the whole mess in the first place.

Which Shardworld would you most like to live on?

Just don't act too honourably... On the off-chance Stormlight does the same thing for contacts it does for tattoos, you might be in a little trouble. -
You Know You're a Sanderfan When...

Student: Are you making us calculate your pet theories about those fantasy books again? You: ..maybe. -
If Sadeas had hired an assassin, then the whole dressing up as the king and fleeing ploy becomes a lot less dangerous, especially considering he had suggested it.

I took this as more indicating that the Halls and therefore the blue sky are metaphorically unreachable. The Halls are supposedly in the Spiritual Realm, according to Vorin mythology.

Oh yeah - the "Voidbringers can contain Stormlight perfectly" thing. So they can hoard power more effectively, then. Scary.

I assumed because there is steady, light rain during those weeks? But sad surgebinders, that works too I guess.
-
I suspect that this is true, especially given that Allomancy is so much lower Investiture than Stormlight. It's even possible that all KR are stormlight savants. This is less of a problem in Roshar than Scadrial given that Stormlight is renewable.

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village
Swimmingly replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Beneath a sky blanketed in ash, an empire, a fractured pattern of rivers and roads stretching like a great spider perched on the top of the world. The rivers run with ash, shades of brown and grey, but only one - a small tributary - runs pure black. It's waters are the colour of ink, oily and dirty. Beside that river, hidden from that empire in its final hours, there is a village. Blackwater, a refuge from the predations of nobility and caste. Blackwater is a peaceful place, a place on the edge of chaos. An ash-swept square looks upon a dingy statue, some disconsolate shops, a few blocks of stained and rickety hovels. Beneath the tinkers' shop looking onto the square, a vigilante goes through relentless motions. Lents; tinker, mechanist, and warrior of the night, pauses. Cloth cutouts adorn the walls - burnt, singed, eaten with acid, some covered with live ants. Chaos is close. The time for justice, the time for death and retribution is near. He looks to the ceiling, through the floorboards and ceiling of his shop. His jaw opens, his clockwork mask ticks. Not yet, he whispers. But soon. EDIT: I am offend. You put "Psychopath" right back in your post, sir. Directly!- 739 replies

But I don't think you can purposefully use all the strength portion of Stormlight at once. Duralumin + pewter can let you perform feats of strength beyond even Shardplate's capacity.
-
In my mind the things that make Allomancy trump Stormlight are this: duralumin and Compounding.

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village
Swimmingly replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
He tried. Lents tried so very hard. He'd go out and try to talk to people from behind his clockwork mask. But the ones that weren't crazy were pompous and arrogant. (A small part of his brain asked whether he wasn't, but he ignored it). Well, it seemed that there was only one answer to the problem of humanity. He had to fix it, and, well, you had to clean the ash off a crop to keep it healthy. Lents prepared to make his metal pants, finished them in record time, and moved on. He found his jars of poison and began applying them to the weapons loaded in his suit. The clockwork mouse was disassembled, it's acid-spraying mechanism rebuilt inside the mask. Thin pads of leather coated the joints of the suit, cutting down on the clanking. Finally, a coat of black paint with soot rubbed in took the gleam off the metal. It was almost time. Patience, he thought. Something's going down, and when it does, I can use it. Blackwater Village will run red with blood. He settled into the comforting, cool curves of the metal and let his awareness expand and take it as a part of him. His fingers held death, and he could jump meters into the air. He was an automaton now. Even a Thug would be hard-pressed to take him. Delicate mechanisms moved above his skin like a second set of veins, and Lents felt alive. I have no grudge with the merchants, Lents recited. My oath is against those who prey on the innocent. I will stalk the night like a Mistborn. I will kill without mercy and defend without reward. The clockwork legs, soot-blackened, creaked into movement as Lents pulled up the hidden trapdoor and walked down the stairs. Time for a little practice. Justice was near.- 739 replies

Lents sighed and trudged back to his shop. THIS was why he didn't go out much. They could all drown in the mists, for all he cared. Damned fools.- 739 replies

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village

I can give you a clockwork mouse that sprays acid, a bent copper clip, and a spike of metal I pulled out of a dead Inquisitor. And yes. I have an official permit for excess amounts of any metal, and a COMMENDATION for the shinyness of my pants. And they aren't even metal!- 739 replies

Shallan creates illusory warriors for him to spar with - perhaps Amaram. Good way for him to take out his frustrations.

Long Game 3: Blackwater Village
Swimmingly replied to Peng the Just's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Lents looked down. His pants weren't made of metal. They were the only things that weren't. There was a hanging metal guard off the top piece, but just plain leather on his legs. He answered the questions. "To keep me from dying. One of each. By filling an empty one. A not. Yes. I'm not wearing metal pants - those aren't finished yet. And yes, several things. Now, how much for the lead?"- 739 replies

Lents, joints whirring, approaches Asp. "I don't suppose you have any lead?" he asks. "I see now the benefits of being a Lead Misting. So much, in fact, I'll need to buy a full ton of it."- 739 replies

The form was presumably vastly different before vs after, so while the priesthood would have been the same, the artentia system is probably recent.- 7 replies
