  1. I bet he's got a cave on an asteroid somewhere, anchored to Shadesmar with the sheer volume of Investiture he's accumulated in various objects of power there.
  2. It doesn't cut off in the Kindle version...
  3. They might just say it behind the scenes. We don't have a lot of conversations with soldiers talking about colloquialisms for bridge 4. they were more the focus of the previous book.
  4. Carve it with a rener - neren phonetic glyph structure, assuming those are a thing?
  5. I wonder what the title for some code he put a little bit of on each wall, using it's position as part of the key, would be?
  6. Maybe they can use the Division surge somehow to accelerate themselves, causing a sonic boom? Or just explosions from the sky?
  7. I wonder how many times Lopen is gonna use the "Look at me, I'm glowing and have two arms" pick up line?
  8. Yes. Yes, it does. That's something to think about.
  9. I bet that Elsecallers had something relating to passive interaction with the Cognitive. Truthseers seem to have the gift of Prophecy. Bondsmiths can speak to the Stormfather, but that might just be the normal spren bond. I think that the stormriding is a Windrunner thing.
  10. Haha Brandon! You thought you could slip those ideas into our subconscious and brainwash us into mindlessly enjoying your books! Yeah, noone else thinks that would change much either, huh?
  11. He has lifesense, obliquely references losing Nightblood, uses Realmatic terms for the storms, uses a lot of colour metaphors which would make sense for a Hallandren native, and Chaos said so.
  12. I love the names they assigned to the phrases. Hilarious.
  13. Good Nightblood! Who's a terrifying consumer of souls? You are! Yes you are!
  14. damnation. Can't believe I didn't notice V = Z. I assumed he had been a budding Windrunner who broke his oaths. I even felt proud for "noticing" that. Facepalm.
  15. That might kind of be for people reading SA in isolation. They can identify this as simply a new type of Shardblade for now - they'll probably be clued in later.
  16. Jasnah's in for some surprises travelling with him, that's for sure. I can imagine her picking through his bags: hmm.. Bags of metal dust, brightly coloured fabric, spikes of various metals, bags of regular dust, stamps with glyphs on them (odd, I don't even remotely recognise these). What is he hiding?
  17. Not a spren. A sentient fragment of Endowment's Investiture, yes, and similar in many ways to a spren. However, it's a different species of object in the same class
  18. I think we should start titling these in regards to their content, if there will be more. At some point, either Hoid or the Dragon will issue an ultimatum regarding their course of action, and we'll want to refer to them by content for clarity.
  19. Lents stared at the fool of a detective. The strange man was clearly... unhinged. And this was LENTS saying it. Lents was crouched on a rooftop, wearing metal power armour and considering exactly how to dispatch every person in view within ten seconds. Lents though the detective was unhinged, or a fool. This was indicative of something.
  20. But she can...I mean she turns into a weapon to do it. But she can.
  21. That was the only time in the whole book I yelled. My other favourite bit was Hoid obliquely referencing that Cultivation wasn't really his type.
  22. I meant that in a "interferes with others Investiture through sheer strength" way.
