  1. I have been assuming that there is no expectation of activity at night. I typically make few or even no posts in the night and refrain from doing analysis then. I guess I would say the recent game is a counterpoint; we flipped an elim and still had no idea what was going on. Then we flipped another, and still had no idea. I definitely would have been upset with shorter cycles. My understanding of the LG format isn't that you do more work since you have more time. It's that you do (roughly) the same amount of work, spread it out a bit, and then have time for some RP and PMing. The LG, in my opinion, should be (and historically has been) the most casual game format.
  2. Hmm, my take comes more from having a busy schedule. The night turns give me a break so that I can come back the next day and refocus. Or, if I'm an elim, it means I have a chance to spread my scheming around and adapt to the events of the day with better hindsight. I guess this also constrains the elims; since they lose out the most from having no night turn, bussing becomes less viable. And yes, I consider this a severe downside . Though Kas's recent analysis indicates the village could use a boost. I think there is something of a logistical issue as well, since the Day/Night cycle split tends to be used in the rules, and some rulesets might not adapt well to needing to shift partway through. My suggestion would be to run a game like that, and see what people think (yeah, I know this means waiting a while). I guess you could also pitch the idea to any upcoming GMs and see if they want to adapt their game that way. The post-AG is also generally a good time for discussions like this to happen, since a lot of the active community members tend to be involved.
  3. I mean, isn’t that just a MR? There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with this change, but you would be playing a different kind of game that we already have in the MR format. I prefer the longer style, which is which I play almost all the LGs but few MRs and QFs.
  4. I’m literally the last man standing, so I have all the blades. But I had Battar for a while, and was trying to RB kills once the elims got Kalak and could stop me from using Chana. Thank you for GMing, @Ashbringer! I had tons of fun and this run of the game will be just as memorable to me as the last one, if not more.
  5. I’m deplaning right now, so here goes some RP: Hadrian-son-Penrod faced down his final opponent as the sun began to crest the horizon. He bore the weapons of Chanarach and Battar in each hand, and as he stepped forward a glowing form in the shape of a bear burst from his body, carrying the swords of Vedel and Paliah. With a cry, the two rushed forward in their last stand against the Tukari invaders.
  6. Well, there goes all chances of me fooling you . I do agree that a kill draw is pretty lame, though you'll pardon me for not believing a villager has my best interests in mind. I plan on doing something secret and devious tonight and then throwing myself upon the Gods of Luck and Chance on the morrow, which, now that you mention it, is very appropriate. I suppose if I'm to become Alvron the Shaman's successor, this is the only way it could truly have happened. My kill was on you for about 5 minutes that night. Just so you know . And though the game isn't over, I have to say you haven't really lost your touch. You were pinging my e!Aman radar from basically when you joined, in a decent part because of significant prior suspicion of Xino, but you kept me fairly placated up until the end, when I didn't really want to bother with e!you. And nobody but Shining really picked up anything against you, and he likely only did because his life was on the line. I'm definitely miffed that we didn't get to team up, but I guess that would have made things too easy .
  7. Yeah, well, I need to fool you one last time. It would be rather nice if holding 4 honorblades was useful. Then again, you also have that many, so maybe not.
  8. Well. This makes me feel a lot better. Here's to hoping that the vote manip gets blocked. See y'all on the other side, and if I die, I bequeath all of my blades to Aman.
  9. Maybe? It depends on what the elims thought was going on. If Turtle/Cinnamon used Illumination on me, then they couldn’t RB me, so using Progression makes sense there. If they think I’m going to try and RB (which I tried to indicate in thread, so whoops), then they would use Illlumination. If they think I’m going for a kill but not protected by Illumination, then Transportation makes the most sense, since that doesn’t care about who I’m targeting. I could be immune to vote manip and roleblocks right now from Illumination last night. I guess it doesn’t actually help to work all this out though. Either today is a 50-50, or it isn’t. And we have no way of knowing for sure. Also, if vote manip causes a 50-50 and I die, then there would be 6 blades getting distributed, including 2 protects and a kill, so the the village isn’t toast. Which makes me feel a bit better about things. @Ashbringer, can vote manip in this game change a no-vote to a vote?
  10. Yeah, that checks out. You joined in time to claim Kalak, but it seems a little unlikely that inactive!Xino would have sent in that kill. I’ll also note that I didn’t get hit with Tension last night, so Insanity had a free action. I really hope that I don’t die and I get to walk away with an armory of honorblades
  11. Okay, I’m pretty sure Insanity is the last elim. I’ll go recheck the vote counts later, because Aman was fairly defensive of Tani, which Silho pointed out. But I don’t think e!Aman makes it quite so obvious he and Insanity are e/v. And the best part about this is the village doesn’t lose if I mess this up! It just goes to either a tie (mutual kills) or a 50-50. And if I win the 50-50 I get all the honorblades . Edit: I would appreciate each of you making a comprehensive case for the elim-ness of the other. I'm prepared to spend a fair amount of time trying to get this right, but I'd rather not have to figure this entirely on my own. Edit 2: @Ashbringer if someone used Illumination during the night, is that protection still active? Edit 3: If Tani used Illumination on her teammate (and I’m not sure what else the elims could have done if they didn’t block me) then I can’t RB Kalak, so even if I vote right today will come down to a 50-50.
  12. I will be the IM for this game.
  13. Well, for better or for worse Tani isn’t sending in any actions, so that makes it a bit easier for me to block the NK. Edit: That’s not true, she was online 4 hours ago, which was well after rollover. I forgot during N6 that I could pass you a blade, and also considered opening a PM with you for tonight.
  14. There is currently a small problem, being that 2 people haven’t voted yet, and there are only 3 hours left in the cycle. This bodes poorly for the village.
  15. @Ookla the Debonair So one of the things with Turtle is that the D4 shift from JNV to Cash doesn’t really make tons of sense for e!Turtle to attempt IMO. That’s a dramatic attempt to just get a different villager killed. Based on D3 the elims this game are not that interested in wielding thread influence (with a potential exception of Aman), so e!Turtle’s D4 behavior is inconsistent there. I will concede that Aman has consistently pushed against a Turtle exe. What would you say about his posts in response to my suspicion of him earlier this cycle? Also, do you have any reason to read Insanity as village? Edit: We probably want to vote out the person that sent in the NK, which cannot be Turtle or Insanity
  16. You could have sent in the NK last night, and Insanity couldn't have. So we could put Paliah in the hands of a villager by exeing you. Not to mention that I think it makes a bit more sense with the distro for you to be elim. You also haven't done anything villagery that I've seen. You aren't trying to solve the game.
