@Butt Ad Venture Are you referring to anyone in particular? Alvron, Snipexe and I all have fragile items, but I'd bet Alvron and Snipexe plan to use theirs tonight, so you must be talking about me, as one of three possible liars about the LoWs last cycle. Edit: @Shqueeves could you tell us exactly what your enhanced LoWs do?

Sounds like a plan. We shouldn't have a hard time defending the camp tonight.

I have no Chalk, so the best I can do is grab an item or read my Book. I'm not sure which I'll do, since I'll likely be a target with the Shadowblaze.

I'm going to be offline until the end of the cycle, and I think I'll switch my vote from Ventyl to CadCom. I was really hoping we'd get more discussion, but lynching CadCom lets us stall things another cycle. It's also possible that he's pulled an Aman and is actually Forgotten, but I don't think that adds up. Vote Tally: CadCom (3): Ventyl, Araris, Snipexe Snipexe (1): Alvron There are still ~30 minutes left for people to get their votes in. It would be nice if more than half the players could participate in the lynch.

Mid-Range Game 36: The Northern Wind

It's been 4 hours, so I don't feel bad at double posting this. Anyway, at this rate, I'll just lynch everyone that isn't myself and win! -

Having actually read the post where Lopen voted (quoted below), I don't think it makes sense to vote on him. The votes didn't stack up until after he was gone. Consequently, I'll vote on Burnt @Burnt Spaghetti(consider this my official welcome back to the community), who is next on my list and who I felt a bit more suspicious of during my quick skim (fortunately 2.5 pages isn't that hard to catch up on). Vote Tally: Burnt (1): Araris Stick (1): Drake -

Like I said, I haven't really kept up with the thread. I voted Lopen because after I typed the three names, his came first. As for Aman, it was a random choice colored by my feeling that he rarely is up for the lynch D1. Early D1 votes can't have much rationale behind them. Edit: Ninja'd. Also, it wasn't a poke vote. It was more of a stab kinda vote. I've decided that poking people isn't a good way to kill them. -

It's going to take me a while to catch up, since I've been putting most of my time into the LG, but I successfully requested an eagle last night . It's cry reminds me of freedom. @StrikerEZ you shouldn't have any read on me, since I haven't done anything to deserve on this game. I voted on a random person (one that I felt doesn't get voted for D1 very often) and then vanished. Also, my playstyle can be found in my signature . Current suspects are Lopen, Burnt, and Stick, for voting but not being willing to decide the tie last cycle. They are followed by everyone else that didn't vote at all. -
Of course you prefer to see us all tied for the lynch . That might not be entirely a random event though given the possibility of a Line of Silencing (although that would pretty much give away who the elim is for next cycle). Also, I read Snipexe rather strongly as village after his interaction with CadCom.

@Ventyl We have GM confirmation that Shqueeves took an item from the supply. The Map is also missing from the supply, which corroborates Alvron's story. Players whose actions are not entirely accounted for are Lumgol, Venture, and the 3 people that claimed LoW (Snipexe, Ventyl, and myself). That doesn't really help much. While I'm rather suspicious of Ventyl, I could also get behind a CadCom lynch. The fact that he is trying to take items that the village could really use makes we want to kill him. The problem with that is it puts us at a large risk of getting overrun twice more. If I get the Shadowblaze, Alv gets the Clock, and Snipexe gets Rainbow Chalk, we should be able to hit 3 defense this cycle. Elims would have to LoV Alvron to cause the Clock to fail, and Shqueeves can let us know what the LoW specialty does after the day cycle is over. If it provides 2 defense, Snipexe and I together can protect the camp. Otherwise, Shqueeves, Snipexe, and Myself can all protect the camp. That doesn't account for Ventyl, Lumgol, and Venture, one of which could provide backup if someone else is elim. So it seems like we should be able to protect the camp tonight following a CadCom lynch, and have some room free for redundancy in case of elim interference. So basically, if other people are suspicious of Ventyl, I say we lynch him, otherwise, I say kill CadCom.

@Cadmium Compounder You seem to be trying to align yourself to the village, but since you aren't a Rithmatist, the Shadowblaze won't add to the camp defense if you take it (or at least we can't guarantee that it will). That isn't very consistent with helping us. Also, going for an item that someone else (me) already said they want seems counterproductive for you, since it gives you a 50% chance not to get closer to your goal. Edit: Also, you lose with the rest of us after the camp is overrun a third time.

The Rainbow Chalk seems like a really fun item to have. I wonder if you get to see what all the specializations do before you use them, or if you just have to randomly guess.

Another thing about Shqueeves is that he used his Lantern to reveal that he took the Book. That doesn't seem like something an elim would do. I'd still like to see some analysis from him though.

Stiker contacted me about defending the camp, and he thought it was more important than me reading my Book, so I did a LoW during the night. Now the Book is pretty much useless, since I don't have any Chalk to use it with. It would take 3 actions (Grab chalk, Read book, use Line) to make it worthwhile, and we don't have any idea what the specialty actually does. I'll plan to grab the Shadowblaze for now until someone objects. I agree that Alvron having the Radio or the Clock is a good plan, although those items will cause their bearers to be vulnerable to LoVs. The Gun is another good option, although we could leave that for CadCom as well. I find Ventyl @Ventyl, @Lumgol, and @Shqueeves all suspicious for not participating in the lynch last cycle. We also cannot account for Ventyl and Lumgol's actions last night, which puts them as possible candidates for the elim the sent in the kill. I'd like to hear suspicions from each of them, and I need to read their interactions again. Although I feel stronger about Lumgol being village since he didn't react to being one of two lynch candidates early last cycle.

Too bad Alvron already used the Gun. This game would be a little simpler without a Thief running around. @Cadmium Compounder do the Books not count as "important"?

I’m not sure if I should do a LoW tonight, since I’d prefer to read the book I grabbed. Also, using up my only chalk would make my book basically useless. I’ll reconsider if we haven’t heard in thread that enough people are defending. Also, nice shot Alv, although it looks like we didn’t get a decrease in the defense requirement from the Gun kill.

Okay, so that revelation makes Snipexe look a lot better. However, I have a really bad taste in my mouth about letting claimed neutral players get away with things, so I'd rather not have a thief running around. I can fairly easily see some new item coming up that we need that CadCom also wants, and think it will be easier if he's gone. Also, if he is the thief, then lynching him won't increase the amount of defense we need this Night.

Mid-Range Game 36: The Northern Wind
Araris Valerian replied to DeTess's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'll toss a vote on Aman. Gotta lynch somebody today. Possible thoughts later on roles and actions and so forth. -
@Snipexe It's possible that CadCom has the Thief role, which was in the last couple of Rithmatist games, and in the most recent version, required some number of Bribes to be held to win. I'm reconsidering my village read on him, although not enough to guarantee his lynch. I think I'll move my vote from Lumgol to Snipexe. It seems reasonably likely that one of CadCom and Snipexe is at least not village, so I'm happy with them both being lynch targets this cycle.

Well, as it stands, you have a 50% chance of dying, so Ventyl will probably get the book

The Crab is a day-only item, so unless Venture started with a Lantern (and I'm assuming the only starting items were Chalk), he couldn't have used the Crab.

Mid-Range Game 36: The Northern Wind
Araris Valerian replied to DeTess's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'll join as Fourth of the Moon. -
@StrikerEZ, just to clarify, I'm not trying to put blame on people that didn't grab an item. To be honest, I'd bet that villagers would be slightly more likely to not get an item over elims, both because elims tend to be more reliable about submitting actions and because they could coordinate among themselves. I have very little read on any non-bold player in my list, and picked Lumgol largely at random. We just need to start from somewhere, and our D1 didn't give me too much to work with.

I'm sort of curious about the Book of the Bouncer, and probably will go for that. I have a lantern, so I'll be able to read it during the Night, supposing I don't get lynched today. On that topic, here's a player list: Butt Ad Venture: Nathaniel Cadmium Compounder: Caden Alvron: Blackbane Araris Valerian: Elysian StrikerEZ: Wardell Devotary of Spontaneity: Jenoue Xinoehp52: Ecnelis Lumgol: Character TBD Ventyl: Jerm Apple Shqueeves: Jeeves Snipexe: Snip People in bold I'm probably not going to vote on this cycle. Those people are listed roughly in increasing order of trust. Venture because I don't think an elim would have done what he did last cycle, and Alvron because of a PM we have. CadCom could be elim, but having a player alive and helping coordinate us all not dying is useful regardless of his alignment. Italicized names are people that didn't grab an item during the first cycle. @StrikerEZ, @xinoehp512, @Ventyl, @Lumgol, it would be nice to hear from all you guys whether you tried to grab an item, forgot to submit an order, or did something else. I think for now I'll put a vote on Lumgol. There's still not much to go off of, but this should have a better than random chance of being an elim. Also, perhaps we should consider discussing whether to reveal our Night actions. Devotary sort of brought up already that it could be risky, letting the elims know who doesn't have chalk. But we might be able to narrow down who was able to submit the kill action.
