Realized I haven't updated this for a while. I've been reading a lot of nonfiction lately, but I am back to fiction with The Republic of Thieves currently. After that, I am pretty much going to go on a Malazan binge aside from new releases to catch up on those. I'm the same way. I have made that mistake before, and shall never do so again.

There's nothing that says Mraize was not born in Thaylenah then abducted by the Seventeenth Shard. He then spent his life wandering around the cosmere and did not speak Alethi, thus explaining his accent. He has now returned to Roshar and adopted the previously mentioned traits of the Thaylen.

I personally think we will get Aesudan at some point. She is a character of whom we have not heard too much but what we have heard hints at something more sinister. Perhaps what she was doing at the feast was not important enough for her to get a prologue, but I would consider her a candidate. The thing is, there are so many characters I want to know more about, I can't narrow the list to a mere few.

That's considered a theory? I thought the book confirmed that pretty directly. I can't get a quote at the moment, but I am pretty sure... Unless we don't trust Vorin lore.

I fall into the camp that discovered Brandon through WoT; however, I read Elantris before TGS in order to sample his writing. I read TGS and ToM, enjoyed them immensely, continued with Mistborn, and the rest is history.

My brain says that Adonalsium was splintered on Yolen, explaining why all (?) the original Shardholders were Yolish, but it's entirely possible I made that up somewhere along the line...

So... What's been happening in the court recently?

I've really wanted to read Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn and Otherland for quite a while now but have never gotten around to them. I wish I had more time to read... At this rate, it will take 10 years to finish my current tbr list, and that doesn't include new releases that will some along the way.

Recently, my member title has corresponded to whatever my current Sanderson Elimination character was, however since I am on hiatus from Elimination I have changed my title back to my old one. It is pretty simple, a reference to the Five Scholars of Nalthis, because if Gandalf (after whom I am named here) were to go to Nalthis, he would definitely he worthy of being the Sixth Scholar.
