Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well, since I seem to be the top suspect on the list at the moment. I will go ahead and say what my role is. I'm a surgeon. I targeted Meta the first day (he seems to get targeted first round a lot in previous games - and his ability to open up conversations is very helpful to have around. I also didn't really have many enough info to be able to target anyone else). Cycle two, I targeted Mailliw, because we again were kind of just pointing out bad guys, and still didn't have any "confirmed" good guys. Wilson: As far as my :/ emoticon, I use it to display a "meh - it's in the past" kind of emotion. I was talking about previous games and how they weren't as fun when I didn't have a role. Because of that, if I have any sort of action I like to take full use of the actions. I realize that me being a surgeon is just as believable as others being any of their roles (with the exception of Wilson - I think she has fairly cemented that). I will hopefully be able to defend myself more in the morning, but I need to get some sleep. Someone asked about the lighteyes votes, I have already stated who I voted for, but it was Meta (due to our plan) and Jain (he was already top votes anyways). I won't say who I'm targeting with my surgeon ability this time (so as not to give it away). I'm under the opinion that Joe is the other officer, but I don't have time to compile proof (this whole weekend has been hectic, I've been keeping up on the posts on my phone, but haven't been able to take notes). I would like to point out that we have no confirmation that Kas is the wit. He has claimed to be nearly everything this game (which leads me to think he is the wit, it's not proof). *EDIT* Color....- 611 replies

I'm fairly certain that Kaddar is the wit. But, the way he is acting I think he is either the wit or a spy. So, I will also vote Kaddar. If he is The Wit, he gets a personal victory, and if he is the spy, we all get a win on the cycle!- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've been thinking a lot about the situation as well. I'm wondering what the most likely reasons the spies didn't get kills are. The obvious ones are what Wilson has posted, but I thought of a few "less" obvious reasons. 1. Both members of one of the spy teams were under scrutiny and were worried they would be watched, so chose not to kill, figuring the other two teams would each kill one person? 2. Seeing as how we still have no CONCRETE idea on how many spy teams there are. Perhaps one of the spy teams (or more than one?) decided not to sabotage this last round to throw us off on how many teams there are. Just two out other ideas on what happened. I think the second one is slightly more likely than the first. Jain and his partner would have just had Jain submit the orders if he was going to die anyways, right? He couldn't be role blocked anyways. So, for them I think the best bet is they hit a Scout/Aladar spy. Wyrm: For some reason I had in my head that scouts left 1 cycle, and came back during the next one. I thought that meant that if they were gone for a cycle and the next cycle was a Highstorm, they would get caught in the Highstorm and die. I have NO Idea where I got this in my head from, but I was like - oh rust, we are going to lose some scouts.- 611 replies

Meta. I did find it a bit suspicious that you threw the last vote on Jain for the same reasons Aonar stated. That being said, I thought about doing it too, but you beat me to the punch - so I can understand your defense and agree with it. My biggest question to you comes from this: It may have just been a bad choice of phrases. Or, maybe a Freudian slip? What about this cycle WASN'T on the bright side? Everything went pretty well for us, and went very poorly for the spies. That just seems like a very terrible, or telling, choice of words. OOC: I will be on a bit during the day today, but we have my work Christmas party tonight. A party at which 20-30 of us manage to rack up a $3-4k bar tab. So... I probably won't be on much tomorrow morning either (cycle ends at 2pm my time). *EDIT* The quote disappeared right before I hit submit... words were still there, but no quote box?- 611 replies

Luckat, not sure if you were talking about me saying battle is the time to skip? If so, that isn't what I was saying. I was saying that it seems counter-productive to me to use my skip ability this early (since it's a 1 trick poney). There were still 19/20 players, as of last cycle, in the game. So, I would prefer to save that skip ability for a bit later in the game when there are less targets for the spies to go for. As far as my vote, I ironically voted for Jain. I realize I didn't vote for him with my actual vote, so some my think I'm trying to deflect suspicion by saying my secret vote (that none of you can see) was on Jain. To this I say, I can't prove it - but that's where it went. *EDIT* My grammar and spelling were god awful...- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm going to have to agree with Wilson on this. Either a spy was blocked by an officer (I believe that Wyrm said the officer block would be told to the person being blocked?), the Scout, Aladar spies, or Lighteyes skipping combat. I also did not skip combat. I highly doubt that any Lighteyes would have skipped combat this turn since there is a much lower chance you are the one targeted. In my opinion. There are either only 2 spy teams, and the non Aladar team hit an Aladar spy and the Aladar spy team hit a scout? Or some teams didn't pick someone to sabotage? Honestly - I have no frakkin clue how this happened. I figured we had 3 eliminator deaths to worry about (figured one might be a spy team killing another spy). Instead we got 0 eliminator kills. Could this cycle have gone any better for us? *EDIT* Color...- 611 replies

I get where you're coming from, but I still think it's a bit suspicious. You aren't just giving thought's on what you think may have happened on why Ashe was killed. It almost seems like you're giving other spies advice. Here is the quote that stuck out to me. I'm not saying you're a spy, I'm saying that this is almost worded as giving the spies advice. You can take it how you will, I just thought it was suspicious. OOG: Sorry I wasn't on much last night guys - I went to have a drink with some friends after work, turned into about 10 drinks and an all night affair. I did post once from my phone and tried to read though.- 611 replies

Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wilson, I was thinking the same thing about what Kas said - it does seem rather suspicious. His logic is sound, and very similar to why I thought Ash may have been targeted - but him pointing it out is like saying "hey other spies, this is why I targeted Ash - try to follow my idea". We'll see what he has to say in regards to his defense. As far as you go Wilson, everyone is always going to assume you're evil - you scare the crem out of us when you are.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Wilson, I actually understand your reasoning and agree with you on why I'm suspicious. Hopefully I can help alleviate some of it with explinatios on why I said certain things. When I last played, a popular thing to do was monitor players online times. The reason I stated I was sitting back was because I have been on nearly non stop for the last day (with the exception of date night last night, and sleeping), and wasn't posting anything. I didn't want people to take that as me "lurking" so i just stated that I was trying to get back in the swing of it. I get where you're coming from though in that being suspicious, I honestly just didn't consider it being taken that way. As far as my comment on meta's plan - you're right. There aren't many (if any) flaws in it. I just don't like using my role as a "non-role". The first two games I was in, I was 100% vanilla and it was boring (still fun, but boring). So, my statement didn't really have anything to do with his plan, just me being stubborn. :/ Hopefully that explains some of my reasoning. Thank you for voicing those though - helps me get my mind back into being extra cautious of how I word things.- 611 replies

Haha, thank you sir. Wilson, I am curious as to why I'm a suspect. I understand that at this point in the game most suspicions are vague at best, but I'm still curious. I have my suspicions as well. But, I have no fact to ground them in - just gut feelings. *EDIT* Color, it never saves as blue... I always have to edit it.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ace walked towards the tent muttering under his breath. "MAce, this is bad news - a foreign dignitary getting killed in our camp under our noses? The Blackthorn is going to want someone's blood for this. Perhaps we should look a little harder into who these spies are... You are worried about me? I'm pretty sure the medallion will protect me if one of those chull-brained spies comes for me anyways." Ace looked up to see Brightlord Jost step out of the tent with a look of contempt on his face directed towards Ace. "I know MAce, I don't really like him much either." Well this is bad news guys. I'm hoping we have more than 1 messenger around to be able to get some conversations going. Great write-up by the way Wyrm, I like how you incorporated her character. *EDIT* Btw, I'm playing MAce kind of as an awakened hammer? I dunno - just thought it would be fun.- 611 replies

Mid-Range Game 4: The Alethi War of Unification
Macen replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hey guys, I've been sitting back a bit while I get used to the games again since I've been out of the loop for a while. I would have to agree with Meta's plan as well. I feel as if we may be limiting ourselves, but it's better than giving the Spies a chance to swing the vote. I will also retract my vote on Jost, seeing as how it was more of a vote in jest.- 611 replies

I don't have much time - working and busy. But, I would like to say hi, and that I'm alive. Thanksgiving tried to put me in a food-coma, but I prevailed *victory cheer*. I am going to vote for Jost, simply because he was such a chull to me in our meeting with Dalinar. Rude. I'll try to get some RP'ing in with my MAce and Medallion later, but I don't have time at the moment. Wyrm, can MAce give me any super powers!? Pretty please! I mean, since I'm Lighteyes and all, it wouldn't be hard to RP having shardplate and a ShardHammer ShardMAce.- 611 replies

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Macen replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. You now have "ant-gravity" shoes that you can't remove and have no off switch. I wish for whatever the Nightwatcher thinks is best for me. -
It was close. I think Wyrm and I would have ended up pulling through in the end though, just hard to tell for certain. I only swung the MAce once and it didn't kill until the next day (and it was the final kill). We killed the other two remaining GB with the Bow and the Lynch. I will agree though and say the potential is very high for it to be over-powered.

Ace signing up. I am a very unusual man who is always seen carrying around an over sized mallet. I occasionally talk to it calling it "MAce'.
