Reyx, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison An explosion cracked through the air, sending debris flying out like some deadly blossom. Nearby, someone yelled with an unfamiliar voice, and the human - Lightweaver - darted away from inside the smoke. Towards the explosion. Reyx hesitated, confused. Didn't people generally run away from explosions, especially humans, so - had they been talking to the Fused? Could a Fused be a Lightweaver? Damnation. When did this all get so complicated? Reyx hurried out of the smoke, heading after the maybe-Fused, maybe-Radiant. If the weapon was antilight, it was unlikely they'd be heading that way, so Reyx concluded that at least if they died, they could back up their decision. @CoderDrag0n8 @Fizz9 Cayansa, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison The floor rattled with an explosion, drowning out whatever Limel was saying. A bloodied man fell through the door, then out again, red cloth binding him as though controlled by some macabre puppeteer. Alarms blazed out and someone outside was screaming - no, many someones. Explosion? Antilight? Reyx! Cayansa scrambled back, away from the door. If they couldn't fight, then the least they could do would be to not get caught in the crossfire. A few strips of metal had peeled away from the door in the blast like rotting skin. Almighty, how powerful had that been? How many hurt? Cayansa picked up the nearest of the metal shreds, ignoring the way it cut into their palms. Ralkalest. It wasn't a weapon, not by a long shot, but it was better than nothing. @Hoid Slayer @KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren @KnightSkye Reforged

Ink pulls an Uno Reverse Card out their bag and passes it to Ver. "This is drawing privileges. I can't remember where I left the writing one." "Knitting is useful! It's a bit like DNA so it's easier to make lifeforms using it, like plants! Or kittens." They lift Quill, a kitten, up and peer at them intently. "Still not sure where they came from, though. Have I taken up sleep-knitting?"

Favorite and least favorite character?
Ink and Embers replied to bedtime's topic in Stormlight Archive
Comedy value? Vision Nohadon Interesting character with interesting foreshadowing points to analyse? Jasnah (also, she helped me through a hard time at one point, so I'll always be defensive of her) I think Shallan is an interesting character and I like her a lot, but I felt the constant plot twists surrounding her got repetitive and she's ... not great DID representation. Moash was one of my least favourite characters as a person but favourite characters as a plot device until Wind and Truth, which I felt took away a great deal of his development. My least favourite is probably Sigzil. I just don't find him interesting, though that may be because we don't know much about him. I skim read almost all of his WaT scenes; they weren't nearly as interesting to me as the rest -

I thought it was awesome!! I like how they're handling the conflict, both physical and moral, and the introduction of the new characters felt very natural -

Handmaid's Tale is actually taught for A-Level in some schools in the UK; I have a friend who's studying it. It's a really well-written book! -

"Sure!" Ink looks under faer hat, which she definitely didn't have a moment ago, and passes Adonalsium another extremely fluffy kitten. "Got a name for it?" Ink takes notes on the kitten interaction, nodding seriously to himself. They take a sip of the tea absent-mindedly and promptly turn purple.
