    Kiornight glanced around. Huh. He could've sworn he'd heard ... Nevermind. The swarm grew a little further apart: less cohesion this way, but a greater range. The island was full of strange beings. A pink-green plant snapped at the passing fireflies. A handful blinked out, while the remaining ones flashed briefly and brightly in alarm. Curses. I hope no one saw that.

    They're a kind of spider-species a bit like Sleepless from an RPG called the Wildsea. It's very cool! Kiornight examined the boat - largely empty - and concluded it probably didn't have many uses besides firewood. And transport, he supposed. What interested him more was that the marks made by the boat's landing. The waves had barely scrubbed them away at all. Another person, and recently arrived. If they were competent (Kiornight suspected they had to be to get this far), they might not be dead just yet. Kiornight shrugged, letting his humanoid shape mostly dissipate into a buzzing swarm, and headed into the island. He'd meet the person sooner or later. Maybe even alive.

    Okay! Kiornight arrived at the island in a hissing of wings, tired after several days' flight. Fireflies crawled over his clothing, flickering with light, but he dimmed them with a thought. Better to be concealed, in this place. Whatever lived here was dangerous at best. Strangely, a small craft rested on the sand on a nearby beach; he'd seen it as he was arriving. Another being. He wondered if they were still alive. Still, wouldn't hurt to check... probably. If nothing else, he could raid the boat for resources. Steps clicking and whirring with wing beats, he headed towards the boat. Kiornight is a Tzelicrae-Sleeples-firefly-type-entity

    In Bands of Mourning, we see that it's impossible to allomatically Push (and presumably also Pull) on metalminds, which is However, at the end of the Well of Ascension, Marsh attacks Sazed by Pushing Sazed's bag of metalminds into him, meaning he's able to heal using gold. Why? Is it because Marsh was using Hemalurgy that he was able to Push on metalminds? Is it a special property of the Bands? Is it something else? (As an aside, the reason I initially joined the Shard was to ask this, and I have consistently forgotten to do so for eleven months.)

    Ink fills up several hundred IKEA sinks with water and puts xir sharks in them. Xe then puts the spaghetti shark in a saucepan and starts trying to hit Conure on the head with it.
