    Yes, though it was more extreme in the past for me than nowadays (I definitely prefer acting similarly, but that's my experience). I changed a lot depending on whether the group needed someone who was actually going to get things done, or comic relief, or was generally incoherent. There's still a big gap between how I think I act and how I act (at least, when I'm paying attention)

    Reyx, New Hallandren, New Hallandren Garrison Reyx flickered at the unexpected questioning. "We didn't kill anyone! That would be bad! At least I don't think we killed anyone! There was a big explosion nearby earlier, so we went to investigate and see if we could help and then we got arrested! And hopefully no one died! Well they probably did! But that wasn't as a result of us! Apart from not helping un-bury people! Can you unbury people? Is that the word?-" They cut themself off, panicking. "Uh. I'll shut up now. Um. You?"

    Ink passes her a kitten. "CUTE FLUFFY CAT AAAAAAAAAA" "Oooo, I want to catch that! Can I have a mint tea in the meantime, please?" "Hello!" Ink waves to him. "What's mordite? Nice to see you, though!"

    "You were mentioning being interested in crafty things!" Ink squints at the kittens. "Cool idea!" They feed Lyn a cat treat. "Mine could be ... Quill? Not really sure." He turns to Star. "Would you like to adopt a kitten? We have two! They're really cute and no one knows where they keep coming from!"

    "Nice to meet you!" Ink says, bounding over and holding out their hand. "I'm Ink! I meandered in a day or so after this bar opened and haven't been able to find the exit, unless you include the holes that occasionally get bashed into the walls when people start sparring! Coder is the bartender, but half the drinks are served in slightly bloody human skulls and if the food seems normal there's probably a catch. It keeps you on your toes!" They pull a fourth and final kitten out of the pockets of faer cloak, which definitely hadn't existed a moment ago. "Any name ideas for the cats? Any cat allergies?"

    "Greetings!" Ink calls, waving. "What brings you to this strange bar? How are you doing?" "Really? Awesome! Thank you!!" Ink jumps up and down excitedly, catching the kitten that fell out their hat. "Another one! And a hat! I didn't have that before! Your art is epic; I love the star chart you made!!" She looks over at the bar. "We could ask Coder for cat care supplies, but that might turn them into eldritch demons or sell their souls for cupcakes or something. Any name suggestions?"

    "I have developed prophecy!" Ink shouts, walking into a wall. "I have a friend who took up embroidery so he could accurately cosplay as his DnD character. Crochet sounds awesome!" They pull another kitten out xir pockets and pass it to Ryn. "I wish I knew where these kept coming from..."

    Ink hugs Ryn. "We should make badges for it. Or scarves. You give "person-who-knits" vibes to me, but that may be wildly inaccurate. Glad you're hanging in there!" Ink also picks up a small fluffy kitten and passes it to Ryn.

    Ink considers for a moment, then says, "Would you like a hug? That doesn't sound too great. It's good to have you back but take care of yourself!!!" "Yea delirium is fun. Once ten separate people decided I looked like I was about to cry even though I felt happier than usual? That was weird. I'm doing surprisingly OK given the chaos that is my life at the moment. What have you been up to?"

    Oh wow this is sad This is so so so cool!!!! I really loved the opening in particular and the denial of "What is happening? Nothing, definitely nothing". And then the ending is great!!!! This is really really really awesome!!!!!!

    *hugs even more* I get what you mean; most of what I write is also depressing because that's how I process it. But I agree, the Shard is full of amazing people and it really helps to talk to folks. It's one of the best things that's happened! Ever!!! *hugs again*
