So my sister and I just finished watching Avatar: The Last Airbender for the first time, and uh.

  It's not perfect by any means--it is still a kid's show that had to fit a time limit--but the fact that it manages to be as good as it is in spite of that is frankly amazing.

  It's even more incredible when you consider that they managed to squeeze in episodes of a show about war, genocide, cultural self-destruction and forgiveness of the unforgivable between reruns of SpongeBob SquarePants.
