  1. or drink lots coffee as was mentioned and then when you need to stay up you just tap all the caffeine in one jolt. I kind of wish it works this way, as it adds many implementations to Subsumers.
  2. I don't think so. The reason there's a switch with Mistings is because it's impossible to burn more than one metal without being a Mistborn or involving Hemalurgy. But a Mistborn can already burn all of the metals. So if he wasn't 100% at that metal, the alloy would make him 100% at that metal. And if he already was, then the main effect which we know nothing about would take place. You can still demote useful Mistings to Gnats, though.
  3. So they in fact have no way of knowing the size of the Coppercloud? That seems like a huge drawback. Unless you have a Seeker friend and another Allomancer willing to test the size, you can't know if it's 100 square meters or 1.
  4. Is this information from the RPG? Because it's not always canonical.
  5. If they can't, then how do they know how big it is? If they can, does that mean they can see other Smokers' Copperclouds?
  6. Okay, but what about the dilution problem?
  7. From the wiki: A bendalloy Ferring is known as a Subsumer. Bendalloy is used to store nutrition and calories. While filling a bendalloymind, a Feruchemist is able to eat large quantities of food without becoming full. Tapping such a metalmind will allow the user to go without food. A separate bendalloymind can be used to store fluid intake.
  8. You can use one bendalloymind to store nutrition and calories from food and another one to store liquids. So what, exactly, would happen if you drink alcohol while storing liquids? Will you avoid getting drunk? And if so, what happens when you later tap liquids? Will you get drunk? And what if other, no alcoholic liquids are also stored in your bendalloymind? Would they dilute the aclohol? For example, say you drunk 1 liter of whiskey (40% alcohol) while storing liquids, and your bendalloymind already had 9 liters of say water. Would tapping your bendalloymind be the same as drinking a drink with 4% alcohol? or are the liquids stored seperated somehow..?
  9. Currently only 4 of the 16 basic metals grant Blessings to Kandra. I wonder if the rest could also grant Blessings? With other effects, of course. Has Brandon said anything about this?
  10. I wonder what happens if a Feruchemist stores/taps a metal with an incorrect ratio.
  11. I think it would have no effect. We already know from Wax and the from the real world that alloying a metal creates an entirely new metal. In this case, it would be an unusable metal.
  12. "The one it's bound to." And who is it? I didn't read SLA so this answer doesn't really help me.
  13. So it's a conscious burn then? So what happens if you burn them simultaneously? or is it simply not possible?
  14. Tnx, although this raises another question: What happens if someone (Misting or not) ingests two lerasium beads, each alloyed with another metal, at the same time? Is the first bead that touches your stomach make you a Misting of that metal, and then the second one replace it? or will the two cancel each other out?
  15. For the sake of the example, let's say a Coinshot ingests a bead that's a lerasium/iron alloy. What would happen? There are two options, none of which seem right: 1. He loses his steel burning ability and becomes a Lurcher. 2. He gains an iron burning ability in addition to his steel burning ability. 1 doesn't seem right because it's weird that you'll have your Allomantic power switched. 2 doesn't seem right because we know the only way to burn more than one metal other than being a Mistborn is with Hemalurgy.
  16. This makes me wonder if atium also has a side effect. And also, what's the main effect of lerasium.
  17. While all of this makes sense, I simply can't acknowedge that ingesting a second lerasium bead would have the same effect as ingesting a sugar pill. My mind can't wrap around the concept. And, as it turns out, there is currently no confirmation that it wouldn't have any effect. Edit: Also, we know that ingesting enough lerasium beads would induce ascension. Let's say it takes 1000 beads for that, just as an example. It doesn't seem right that the only beads that would make any difference are the 1st and the 1000th, and that the rest would have zero effect.
  18. Still, there's no denying there's skill involved. And if something like duralumin can make you more skilled for a short duration then there's no reason to think lerasium wouldn't.
  19. The analogy is incorrect. Being able to hear Allomantic pulses doesn't mean you know which metals are being burned. It takes skill for that. It's the same with emotions.
  20. Interesting. So what happens if you spike someone twice at the same time? And while we're on the subject on ripping souls to shreds, does that mean that a person killed by Hemalurgy would cease to exist and not have an afterlife?
  21. Who knows, maybe it'll make you more skilled with the powers you already have? And before you say anything, I'd like to remind you that Marsh told Vin that a skilled Seeker can detect what emotions Soothers/Rioters are manipulating. We know this feat takes great skill, yet Vin was able to cheat by using duralumin. Now duralumin should only make your Allomancy more powerful for a couple seconds, it shouldn't make you more skilled. Yet it does. So if my hypothesis is correct, then a second lerasium bead would, in fact, make you 'a better mistborn'. If not by brute force, then by skill.
  22. What are you talking about? There is no Antartica in Scadrial. Scadrial isn't Earth.
  23. So you're saying, again, that if a 100% Mistborn would ingest a lersaium bead, which its body of Preservation, a god- nothing would happen? Because to me this possiblity seems slim to none. Actually, no, it's none to none. Maybe it wouldn't make the Mistborn's powers go over 100% but it would surely do something.
  24. Brandon didn't say that ingesting a second lerasium bead would have no effect. Please link to quote if I'm wrong.
  25. The RPG isn't always canonical. And you're saying Elend wasn't 100%? Beause the quote in the previous page says he was. Was Elend able to pierce Copperclouds? Sorry, but I can't accept that ingesting a lerasium bead -the body of preservation, a god- won't upgrade you powers at all. It seems preposterous to me that if a 100% Mistborn ingests lerasium it wouldn't have any effect whatsoever.
