  1. Just to be clear, I never asked why Rand didn't kill the Dark One, as that was fairly obvious. (Killing him would basically Turn everyone to the Light whether they like it or not.)
  2. One more question: If Moridin wanted oblivion so badly, why didn't he simply use Balefire on himself? and don't tell me it's impossible; if he really wanted to he could've simply opened a gateway from both sides of him and shot Balefire to one. Edit: nvm I didn't realize Balefire wasn't in fact permanent death.
  3. Okay, but if this things happens indefinitely, then how come no Dragon ever chose to kill the Dark One? Surely that would've derailed the cycle..?
  4. If that's the point of the story, then there's nothing special about it. If that's truly the interpretation, then you're left thinking "this happened 3 times before, and it'll happen infinite times again."
  5. 1. So he didn't actually accomplished anything is that what you say? So when the next turning comes another Dragon will be needed and so on and so forth? That's... anticlimactic to say the least. 2. Haven't heard that theory before, and I actually like it better than Pattern-weaving.
  6. 1. What did Rand do the Dark One? Did he just imprison him again? did he imprison him permanently somehow? 2. How did Rand switch bodies with Moridin? 3. Why did Rand fake his death and ran away? Why not reveal himself to everyone? 4. Why did Rand lose his Channeling capability? 5. How did Rand lit his pipe? Was he able to weave the Pattern as he did when fighting the Dark One?
  7. Haven't read WoR, but why the one who made the Plates didn't make them as special or whatever as the Blades? is there actually a believable reason? if the answer isn't too spoilery (as in, not a twist or a major plot device) then I'd like to know.
  8. As I understand it, Blades can stop one another indefinitely without cracking/breaking. So, why weren't the Plates made from the same material/constructed the same way as Blades so that they would be completely unbreakable? is this a deus ex machina?
  9. The only thing you said that might potentially have ruined a bit for me is that the Access Key would have been useless in the Final Battle. This got me thinking why, exactly, it would be useless while Callandor -a much weaker angreal- would not be. Needless to say, don't answer these questions.
  10. I really hope there weren't any spoilers to TOM and AMOL here
  11. Also, why destroy the Access Key? It could have been very helpful in The Final Battle (Note: I haven't yet read TOM and AMOL).
  12. My voting privileges were removed due to abuse for a month. That was over six months ago and I still haven't gotten them back. What gives?
  13. I also despised the scene where Rand flees through a gateway when he realizes all the food he brought for the city (forgot the name) was spoiled. Richard Rahl would never have done something like that.
  14. The scene where Rand was pondering on the mountain about the recurring cycle of Dark One/Dragon who locks him up and thinking what was the point of it all was amazing. I read in terror how Rand was contemplating to unravel the Pattern, and while a small part of me wanted him to actually do it, I knew it couldn't happen, at least not when there are 2 more books. But the way this was resolved was a resounding disappointed for me. Love? really? that's the reason Rank didn't unravel the Pattern? LOVE?! I took Brandon Sanderson for a writer who comes up with a bit more creative solutions to situations like this. Unless, of course, this entire scene was already written/drafted by Robert Jordan, in which case my sincerest apology to Brandon.
  15. If you take all the metal in a tattoo, even a very large one, it wouldn't amount to much. Which means it wouldn't be able to store much. Still though, it's a very good last resort reserve, not to mention a surprise one. So, for replacing normal metalminds? no. But as an added ace in the sleeve? yes.

    Just for Fun

The logical choice would be picking something weak, as less people would go for weak powers. Then again, other people know this too so the best choice would actually going full Mistborn/Feruchemist or a powerful Twinborn combo. But alas, people would also think that, reverting back to weak powers, ad infinitum.
  17. A Lurcher might not be very effective at surviving bullet shots, but he can easily pull the guns themselves to him, preventing being shot in the first place.
  18. How about "funneling"?
  19. I didn't mean to offend, even though it might have sounded like this. Either way, it's the first I'm hearing the terminology "compounding" in regards to anything other than Twinborn compounding. If it has other uses, they really need to stop as it leads to confusion.
  20. You do realize the very same post you quoted talked about compounding as a prior to the nicroburst? And then you come up with an "idea" which was in fact mine, and is presented in the quoted post you replied to...
  21. I doubt tapping luck would allow you to win the lottery, as the chances of that are like 1 in 20 million. Maybe if you store a year's worth of luck and then compound it, burning it in an instant by the help of a Nicroburst. But yeah, it would be more useful at casinos.
  22. Maybe a lerasium spike, being of preservation and all, can steal everything from a person.
  23. There's already a Seer- an atium Misting in the list. And I doubt that becoming a an atium Savant would ascend you the same way lerasium would; after all, TLR has been burning atium for a thousand years and he didn't ascend, though I'm sure he was an atium Savant (can't prove it though). Twinborns are also fairly rare...
  24. After realizing that Aluminum Gants can only purifty their bodies and minds after becoming Savatns, I've been thinking that they should be given a new name at that level because they can now actually achieve something by burning their metal (purify their body of toxins and possible purify their mind from emotional Allomancy). Nepene then came up with the idea that perhaps Duralumin Gants could also do something once they reach Savancy. He proposed they could amplify other types of investitures in their bodies, which makes sense. True, it's not confirmed, but still. This got me thinking that once a Misting -any Misting- reaches Savanthood then he should be granted a new name. I propose these: Coinshot>Repulser Lurcher>Magnet Thug>Feral Tineye>Sensor Rioter>Rouser Soother>Queller Smoker>Muffler Seeker>Hunter Nicroburst>Surger Leecher>Eraser Augur>Sage Oracle>Prophet Pulser>Decelerator Slider>Accelerator Seer>Ghost Duralumin Gnat>Amplifier Aluminum Gnat>Purifier What do you think?
  25. Maybe lerasium allows a Feruchemist to permanently store his or her Feruchemy in the metal. Then, going by the fact that's lerasium is a metal anyone can burn, it can also be a metal anyone can draw from. So if a Feruchemist stored his Feruchemy in a lerasiummind, anyone could then draw it and become a Feruchemist permanently. As for Hemalurgy, perhaps it steals youth? (making the guy it stole from X years older, depending on the size of the spike, and making the guy who receives it X-Y years younger. Y is the amount of power lost during transition, as Hemalurgy is end-negative.)
