  1. You know what I mean, I believe. Also, let's not forget Shadesmar.
  2. I'm all for a Sailor Moon redub. It seems like these studios are finally getting their acts together - just look at what happened with the One Piece redub, and some series, like Cowboy Bebop and Mushi-shi are excellent in English - so I'd really like to see what they could do with the series. Also, it'd be nice to have a Sailor Moon character whose voice doesn't grate on my ears.
  3. As the favicon for the site begins changing constantly due to the admins each switching it back and forth to their own avatars...
  4. The second I saw the ribbon in Word, I was glad I had already switched to Open Office. It's cumbersome, difficult to navigate, and takes up way too much screen space. I guess it's good to have as an option for people who do like it - though I've never met anyone who does - but I can't stand it.
  5. Actually, the answer to that would be G+. But for the sake of the game, I'll go with Twitter. Upstairs or down?
  6. Someone's been shopping at 9mmsfx.
  7. I believe that would only be if the bear were spiked with the proper spikes - that is, the ones that impart human aspects like physical and mental fortitude. Of course, those also cause a great deal more corruption in the target creature than just imparting powers, which is why Koloss turn from humans into, well, Koloss when spiked with them. EDIT: Also, seriously. Not a good idea.
  8. Ooo. This is fascinating. I wonder if it has anything to do with Adonalsium?
  9. I would agree with you about that: Sazed is, for all practical purposes, a god. He even acknowledges that he's taken up the power of one when he first takes hold of the Shards, and I believe he's referred to as a god in Alloy of Law. I do think, however, that it fits his character perfectly that he wouldn't want people to address him as such, or worship him as such, and choosing a name like Harmony and taking a more personal, informal approach to his religion are both excellent ways to accomplish that.
  10. I also tend to word things a little strongly, just because I like being clear and concise and getting my point across exactly as I intend it. In real life, my tone makes up for that and strikes a balance, but sometimes I slip and forget that typing doesn't include tone. In addition, it's frustrating when you're trying to talk to someone and you not only have no idea what they mean, but there's a complete breakdown in communication - and telling somebody "No, you're wrong; you didn't mean to say what you're telling me you meant, you meant what I'm saying you meant" is a really good way to get people riled up. I apologize if I came across harshly. I didn't mean intend it to sound that way. But seriously, folks. Can we at least stop flouting the cooperative principle and explain ourselves clearly?
  11. OMGCUTEROBOTTHING! (I apologize for the caps attack.)
  12. That's what I thought, but I figured that particular caveat was worth mentioning. I dunno if this is a good idea, though. Seriously, who wants to go camping and run into a Mistborn bear?
  13. Quite alright, Emeralis; I kind of guessed that might happen with my decision to make Harran an NPC, but it's really just a writing choice. He's important, but we're not likely to see much PoV from him; if that changes, or something else comes up, I'll put up a character sheet for him then. And Matt, this idea sounds awesome. Mosh! Dust off your dreambot and let's get to work! X3
  14. Are you by any chance the one who knitted the Mistborn scarf I saw on DA?
  15. Hey, that's fine! If you take a look at my DA, most of the drawings up there are from years ago (and probably need to be taken down or scrapped). Costuming stuff is pretty much all I put up there anymore. So don't worry, costume buddy! All kinds of fanworks are welcome.
  16. Well, welcome! Have a cookie. Even if it's only lurking, I hope you enjoy yourself here!
  17. A little of column A, a little of column B, with a dash of mystery thrown in for good measure. At least, that's how I see it. As for the Mistborn Adventures, I'm definitely hoping to see more Wax books. That said, no matter who's in it, if Brandon writes a Mistborn book, I'm going to read it. No questions asked.
  18. I think the best part of this is how so many people have flagged the original post as unhelpful that Amazon now hides it by default. That's pretty telling right there, if you ask me.
  19. That likely has to do with them not having the intellectual functions required to properly apply the metallic arts. However, given the right spike and placement, instinctive burning - like the body automatically burning any pewter reserves it has built up when injured - should be possible. Theoretically at least. That is, unless they need to have a soul in the first place in order for it to work. In that case, well, I guess it depends on whether animals on Scadrial have souls or not.
  20. This. Though it seems to still be technically possible - remember, it's been mentioned one of the potential plots for a modern Mistborn book/trilogy/RPG centered around a Mistborn serial killer - it's been diluted to the point that it's considered impossible by the general populace. The same goes with Feruchemy; instead of full Keepers, we now have Ferings.
  21. So. Who all here has seen any of the trailers for the new Three Musketeers movie? If you haven't, I'll go ahead and link it here so you can take a look. Seriously, guys. This looks amazing. Beautiful design, engaging cinematography, exciting fight scenes, an epic-sounding Pirates-esque score, oh, and zeppelins. Did I mention the zeppelins? I am ridiculously excited for this movie to come out. What about you guys? Thoughts? Comments?
  22. Hehe. Cosmic. This.
  23. Welcome! I agree completely with what you've said: had I not been following WoT, I would have most likely missed out too, and that would have been a terrible shame. Partially just because I would have missed out on the books themselves, but also because I would have missed out on meeting all of these great people! That said, I hope you stick around and have a good time here. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns! Also. Would you like a cookie?
  24. Unfortunately not yet; I was following the session on my phone while waiting for class to start, so once the Professor came in, it was no more Q&A for me. I'll need to go back and read everything once I've got all my classwork done. It doesn't really surprise me, though; seeing as how Hoid appears in all four Mistborn books, he'd have to be either immortal (thoughts, anyone?), a time traveler, or both in order for that to happen.
  25. I'm glad I put my name on that cookie pic now, if it's gonna be spread around. Anyways welcome! I must agree with Chachel; your avatar wins. Also, yes, it does make sense. Now the next person has to take it a step further and put it in fake HTML tags or something.
