  1. There's also this:
  2. Definitely interested in this Just a question, are the circles in your example one of the "fonts" or is it a part of the writing we haven't seen yet?
  3. I'm not sure if you're a guy or a girl, because your profile doesn't say, but I figured you should know this. (Abbreviated by myself for length reasons) People who have discussed it are like 90% sure it's Ranette, although you probably could make an argument for Steris.(But she did seem attracted by Wax's heroism)
  4. They are all the same person
  5. I guess so. I question whether there would be any purpose for having Vivenna misidentify the plants. I mean, it's not exactly a twist on par with the Lord Ruler's identity. He didn't know that we would ask about the Tears anyways. While he could have anticipated a question like that, I think it's an easier explanation that he simply forgot one throw-away line in Warbreaker.
  6. Hey auri! I'm glad you can join us, and I hope you have a good time
  7. I dunno dude, I'm just making suggestions here. I'm sure the "in-world" artist could take liberties with his drawings if he wanted to. If his purpose was more to portray the existence of magic, rather than show precisely how it was performed.
  8. I don't think I ship me and Syl. I told you guys, she's non-corporeal and immortal, this can never work
  9. I would love to see Nightblood. I think his publishing schedule is highly fluid right now. I mean he's got the Alloy sequel half done, has mentioned wanting to do southern continent books, or Silence Divine. I really want to see the other half of Vivenna's character arc. Warbreaker stood well on it's own, but it's not done yet.
  10. Well, reverse lashings require continuous contact. A basic lashing does not. So he could have touched the sword prior to the drawing, which is what I meant. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. I guess I view it differently than you, I see him as in the beginnings of a swing, but then finding the sword too heavy for himself.
  11. Oh whoops, what can I say? I'm guess I'm not one of those follow the rules guys. In all fairness, Sarene's pregnant, so I hope you enjoy your adopted half-Elantrian baby if you go with her
  12. Eh, I'm not sure I could go with Shallan. She's too prim and proper. I need someone easy-going like Steris Seriously though, Siri, all the way. Spontaneous, fun, adventurous, all great qualities. I'm much too much of a boring "follow the rules" person, so I need someone to make me have fun once in a while. With magic hair, and small shape-shifting abilities, what else could a guy ask for?
  13. If Dalinar's apparent "super-strength" is a Radiant power, perhaps this is someone using that to catch a sword. The problem with a reverse lashing to the ground is that it requires physical contact, and that guy is clearly floating. Perhaps he simply double or triple lashed it to the ground, and the motion is the guy struggling to hold onto it?
  14. No problem, and welcome to the forums as well! Yeah, that's exactly who that is. I'm pretty sure she's been bumped to the second sequence with Jasnah, Taln, Taravangian, and another unnamed Herald.
  15. This will probably make you sad, but book 4 used to Navani's. I was pretty excited about this, but Brandon's now confirmed that Eshonai will be the flashback character in book 4. I wanted to see from Navani's point of view, but I think I might even be more excited to get an Eshonai book.
  16. I'm afraid I'm not following your problem. Is it that there's been 4000 years since the Heralds left and the Era of Solitude began, but the calendar is only at 1173? If so, there's a simple explanation. For whatever reason, a new calendar began sometime 1173 years ago. Just because that's the year, doesn't mean that it is the number of years since Aharietium. Unless I've missed a quote that says otherwise?
  17. Meg, it was my impression that the Eighth Epoch was one of the Heraldic Epochs, before the Heralds left, not during the Era of Solitude. They seemed to think a Desolation was coming, which would put it before Aharietiam. Hope this helps
  18. For the first time in a while, I actually had a theory idea. May solve some problems I've been running into with my Spiritual Constructs topic...

  19. Personally, I don't think that Shard on the Silence Divine world (Man, I hope we get a name for that in WoR...) is the Shard that just wants to hide and survive. Presumably, what it's hiding from is Odium, who is on a planet in the same exact solar system. Not exactly a great hiding place; they only way it could be closer to Odium is if it actually was on Roshar. It just doesn't make sense to me. On the other hand, if the Shard isn't hiding from Odium, that opens up a whole host of interesting questions.
  20. Yes, we have, although it was a fairly brief appearance. I made a topic about this a few months ago, and if I remember right, the general consensus was that Brandon had simply forgotten about it.
  21. There is one. If you look in the posting box menu, the third button from the top left corner says "Special BBCode". Click it and then open the dropdown menu that appears and select spoiler. It'll give you a little box to enter the spoilery stuff into. You can still hand type the tags, but I usually forget if it's "spoiler" or "spoilers" XD
  22. I did too. Brandon referenced them currently being able to "actualize" their Aon in his Q&A here, so I assume it was just cut from the climax of the book, not the world or the nature of the Seons.
  23. O.o Chaos? Hating on math? Abandon all hope, ye who enter here, the apocalypse is surely upon us! D:
  24. I thought about that as I was posting, but I solidly refuse to believe that spren aren't splinters. Everything I've seen points to it. At this point, for me it's a logical assumption to make. And really, we have so little data that we have almost nothing to discuss if we don't make some assumptions. Any anyway, I'm sure that 90% of our theorizing will go out the window at one point or another
