  1. Here's a bit of info for you guys.
  2. Oooooh. Now I love the idea of someone from Silence Divine seeing Taln's Scar. That's amazing
  3. Indeedy I do! Brandon's a bit vague here, but he's certainly implying that they're balanced. Personally, I think that means that atium production has been resumed.
  4. If no one else asks him this before SpoCon, I will. It's certainly an interesting question.
  5. Interim quote guy to the rescue! This is from the second bit of the Eshonai reading. Dalinar is the close figure, and Eshonai is the far figure.
  6. Do you remember where you heard that? It'd be seriously cool, but personally I've never heard anything along these lines. Also, speaking of Stormlight Archive annotations, Brandon's been working on the TWoK ones lately
  7. Well, Brettin for sure, otherwise he wouldn't have looked like Brettin. Here's a direct quote confirming he's in a human body.
  8. I'm pretty sure that Brandon changed his mind on that, guys. After all, we see a kandra in Alloy wearing a human body and there's a mention of another one. TenSoon takes Constable Bretton's body, and MeLaan is the woman who gave Wax his earring. So they're clearly not exclusively in animal bodies.
  9. Good to have you here Hathsin! I recently got one of my own crappy theories crushed, so you're in good company.
  10. Huh, any other insights from that email?
  11. Kel didn't spike Spook, but he did speak to him. He talks to Vin too. And Vin's is more subtle.
  12. I wonder if Devotion and Dominion have become conjoined in a similar way? The Dor is always described as a single power, with every system we've seen so far siphoning power from it, despite implications that they lean either towards Devotion and Dominion. The problem there is that they were never held by a single person as far as we know.
  13. Dunno man, we may be getting into some retconning here. I don't think Brandon would let the creators of the MAG to make up their own category name. Good thing we're not really supposed to understand too much Hemalurgy yet XD
  14. When you're drawing on the mists, it lets you bypass the requirements of needing metals. Personally, I doubt that half-shards are Shardblade resistant due to their investiture. As far as we know, they're simple augmenters.
  15. Fixed it for ya
  16. I don't think that we should change that. It's my impression that the "Hybrid" category was created to replace the second group of physical metals. I believe the interview Phantom quoted about the two categories of physical comes from before Brandon discovered the issue with the metal groupings. At the very least, I don't think we should change anything until we consult with Eric. I myself am not nearly as knowledgeable about the Metallic Arts as he is.
  17. You don't need an account to alter the wiki. I don't understand the problem you're seeing, so I'm afraid I can't help at all.
  18. Why is it that I only want to wiki when I don't have the time for it?

  19. I still don't think that they would interfere with one another. Just because they're both investiture doesn't mean that they're the exact same type of investiture. Here's another more practical reason why I don't think they interfere with one another. The Lord Ruler's bracers doubled as spikes and metalminds. Why would he do that if the two investiture types crowded one another out? He has access to as much atium as he could possibly want. The only logical reason I personally see is that they did not affect one another.
  20. I'm not sure that a Feruchemical charge and a Hemalurgic attribute really are the same sort of thing or able to interfere with one another. A metalmind stores a bit of power, while a spike is attached to a bit of Spiritweb. They seem fundamentally different to me.
  21. Just as an aside, the interview I recently posted says that the Alethi language was designed to look like waveforms. So you could be on to something here.
  22. And, here we are. The larkin have to be the dragonwasps, based on its description. There's so many questions here. How did one end up in the Reshi Isles? How did the Tai-na give one to Rysn? Why are corpses still so prized? What is the larkin's connection to the Radiants? This wait is going to kill me...
  23. Did a double take when I saw your avatar image. Congrats on leaving the food service industry, I could never do that myself. Hope you've got another job lined up, and welcome back!!
  24. Hey Francis, good to have you here! Have you read Brandon's short sci-fi story "Firstborn"? It isn't cosmere, but it is pretty amazing. I hope to see you around
  25. Whoa, that's about enough. We are NOT getting into a flame war here. Kroen, you do not know who downvoted your post, and lashing out at the one only person who bothered to try to explain Feruchemy to you is most certainly not going to help anything at all. Currently, this topic has twelve views. So, you really have no proof at all as to who is responsible. And anyway, complaining about downvotes is not going to win you any sympathy. If someone disapproves or disagrees with what you've posted they are well within their rights to downvote your post. If you really think you're being systematically harassed via the reputation system, contact an admin, don't post an attack in the topic where you feel you've been wronged. Thank you very much.
