  1. If anyone's read the longer version of the Liar of Partinel sample chapters, I think there's another candidate for what the crystal might be. (Moogle pointed this out to me.) Atium crystals aren't described as pink after all.
  2. Either that, or he simply is lying to the people he's recruited for his mission. No one's on board for throwing all of Alethkar into chaos. He can make them kill the king themselves, and once Szeth takes care of Dalinar, Alethkar falls into the same trap of Jah Keved.
  3. Harmony's personality will be changed over a long period of time, this has been confirmed time and time again. Brandon recently said that Kaladin's name is related to Kalak the Herald, so there's no Kalad connection there. Also, Brandon made the request that we ask specific questions rather than asking for clues.
  4. If the chart on the Palanaeum is anything but the Radiant table, I'll be shocked.
  5. Me, Eric, Joe, and Weiry. We're working on getting them in there. It is mostly Weiry right now though. Thing have gotten busy for me lately.
  6. I think that's just a feature of Lopen's POV. He refers to himself as The Lopen, but no one else does. It's a feature, not a bug.
  7. Ooooh, that's a great resource. I clearly need to update the glyphs page, but I'll have to think carefully about how we want to incorporate Thaylen. You wouldn't mind if we use some of these on the wiki, would you? Also, have you taken a look at Dalinar's or Kaladin's chapter icons? They both contain glyphs, but Kaladin's is only a partial.
  8. Not that I can think of... I tried factoring in Adolin's other three duels to see if it would help, but we're still a Blade short. Duel One: Shardblade Duel Two: Shardplate Duel Three: Shardplate Duel Four: Two Shardblades, Three sets of Shardplate Comes out to three Shardblades and five Shardplates One Blade to Renarin One Plate to Rust One Plate to Serugiadis One Full Set to Moash One Full Set to Khal One Full Set to Teleb The nice thing is, I think that's the only place where it's mentioned that Khal gets a full set. It would be fairly easy to change that line, although it does potentially raise the question of why they would try to give a full set of Shards to a captain of the guard before fully outfitting one of the two main generals.
  9. Beyond is vague in this context. Beyond what? Does this mean from far away, more powerful, or something else? Yes, it's too early to tell. We don't know much about it at all except for the name. Doesn't hurt to throw out possibilities though.
  10. This is how I was told it was spelled by the first person to get the answer out of Brandon. If it's not, I'll just move it on the wiki. Not a problem. Also, considering how active Peter's been lately, I think he's altruistic enough that he would have popped in here by now and told us if we were spelling it wrong.
  11. Or the God Beyond perhaps? If it's not Adonalsium itself, I assume that the God Beyond is a Shard that's been touring multiple worlds.
  12. They are Dalinar, Sadeas, Valam, Roion, Sebarial, Ruthar, Aladar, Hatham, Thanadal, and Bethab. I remembered eight of those from memory too.
  13. As I said in my updated post, that's been pushed to after Stormlight 3.
  14. It actually does. Each metal has three distinct abilities in different magic systems. Gold has an effect in Allomancy, Feruchemy, and Hemalurgy, so there is significantly more to write about. If it turns out that the Surges work similarly, across magic systems, then we may change that on down the road, but right now unless another member of the staff thinks differently, they are not getting their own page.
  15. Thanks! I'd personally be shocked if it was Doors of Stone, as that's the working title for the conclusion of the Kingkiller Chronicle.
  16. If there are high-res versions online, we don't have access to them. Those are the same ones we have on the wiki. Are there any glyphs on the illustrations anyways, aside from the ones on the map of the Battle of the Tower? EDIT: And I guess the ones on the side of the warcamp map too.
  17. Firstly, welcome back Telcontar! I did a double take when I saw your name on the recent posts. A quick question. What did he say is the working title of Stormlight 3? I've heard Stones Unhallowed (my favorite) and Skybreaker, but there have been hints that there may be a new one. Did he say anything different?
  18. Interesting question. Short answer is, we don't know precisely, and I don't think Brandon is 100% sure either. Here's what I know for sure. He is writing Firefight right now, so that will certainly be out next. After that, last I had heard, should come Rithmatist Two, and then Calamity. After that, things start getting foggy. Peter anticipates Stormlight 3 to be out around fall of 2016. Brandon ideally wanted to get Shadows of Self in before Stormlight 3, but that may not happen. For a long time, we'd heard that the second Mistborn trilogy would come after Stormlight 5. But recently, I've heard that it may begin after Stormlight 3. Brandon's talked about Warbreaker and Elantris sequels for a while now, and those seem to be coming later rather than sooner. And then there are still wildcards. He's been talking about doing Alcatraz 5 for a long time. He also just read a passage from Silence Divine, a book he wasn't even supposed to be writing yet. So, long story short. We know what's coming soon, but long-term things are still in flux. EDIT: So there was a bit of a miscommunication, as well as some new information. The second Mistborn trilogy will still come after Stormlight 5. Shadows of Self and Calamity have been pushed to after Stormlight 3. I'm relatively pleased with this new line-up
  19. Okay, so the list is totally up-to-date now. Unfortunately, the new forum software screws with all the formatting I've done to it, so there are random bullet points and whatnot that I cannot fix no matter what I do. So, it's not pretty, and the numbers are wrong, but its there.
  20. Sprens is not a word. Spren is like moose, can be singular or plural.
  21. Not an issue at all! I just hadn't seen them online, so I was wondering
  22. I'm gonna grab Stormfather while I'm here.
  23. Wow. I am truly impressed at your skills. If I had to make a bet, you just cracked Thaylen right here. It seems to me like this map would have come off the Wind's Pleasure or a similar ship. Combine that with the fact that we're not far from Thalath and I think it's pretty solid evidence. Great work! If I may ask, where did you find this image online to work with?
  24. I have a list of the Parshendi forms squirreled away on an older page, although I'll be sure to run through them again before putting them on the wiki.
  25. The only thought I had is that maybe it could be Pattern's name, which is weak.
