It's just a few months, although we don't have a specific timeline. Keep in mind though, two months on Roshar is one hundred days, so it's a little longer than our concept of two months.

I'm pretty sure he can take care of himself and his men. Szeth could kill hundreds, and Kal can hold Stormlight longer than him and can only grow more powerful. And it will be a rare slaver who knows to keep Stormlight, the most common source of light in the world, away from Kal. Not to mention his own cleverness and wit.
-
I'd like to meet the slaver that could force Kaladin to do anything against his will.

Signed Pre-Order Hardcover available on BN.com
Windrunner replied to The Rooster's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ooooh, fair enough. As long as it's not a clue about a Shard named Ecstasy -
If you want a copy that is signed, numbered, and can be personalized, Weller Book Works will be selling those. I'm not sure when the tour itself will be announced, but you can expect a midnight release party at the BYU bookstore on the night of the third. I can't imagine it will be terribly long before we get more concrete details on the planned stops.

Thanks for letting us know! I think I'll wait for the numbered edition from Weller Book Works, myself. -
I think there's a quote in there that's paraphrased to, "There are three things all wise men fear: a moonless night, the sea in a storm, and the anger of a gentle man". Please forgive me for butchering such a beautiful quote. xD

I'm gonna close this topic now.

17th Shard Member at the PureLake
Windrunner replied to loganmathewjohnson's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well, given the fact that Isaac is Isasik Shulin on Twitter, I think we can call this one confirmed. -
The nature of Adonalsium (spoilers for Mistborn and Stormlight)
Windrunner replied to scottos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
That theory has been debunked. Brandon's stated that the power of creation is just the power that each Shard has, not some infinite well of power that the Shards allow access to.- 52 replies

I'm not arguing how powerful or effective they'd be, but they'd obviously still have some abilities. That's the point I'm making. Very occasionally, someone would come along who could do things that everyone else could only make happen with machines. I think it could be interpreted as some sort of divine blessing, like Miles thinks it is.

This really has me floored. Probably my favorite of any of Whelan's paintings, except perhaps the one of Rand. Also, Irene mentioned later that we'll probably see the updated cover art of Words of Radiance later this week. Whelan worked on his face, so fingers crossed for him looking just a tad younger.

What purple spren are you referring to? The chasmfiend spren are white.

Darn, I did it again. I always misspell it. In my copy of the Final Empire, it is Trelagism. I'll have to fix it.
-
Actually, there's a distinction, as I mentioned in the theory. Trelagalism existed back then. Trellism is what Miles practices. They seem to have very different tenets as well. Sazed makes no mention of them revering Allomancers and Feruchemists, indeed they would not even know that such things existed. But they do worship the same god, which to me makes sense. Trelagalism, over the course of ~1367 years evolved into Trellism.

Potentially? Yes. Right now though, we don't really have anything to give away. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw something like this in the future, but we don't really want to offer an empty prize. It does take a bit of time to put these together, so we want to be sure that we're doing them for something worthwhile. But, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!

We really don't control the distribution of Steelhunt codes at all. Brandon gave us one for the Steelhunt. Up until that point, half of the staff hadn't even gotten a code.
-
I think Peter's probably referring to the fact that many of the members of Bridge Four are based off of Brandon's friends, so the man Skar is based on is being deployed.

If memory serves, there were actually three hundred Radiants at Feverstone Keep, one hundred Stonewards and two hundred Windrunners.

Honorspren and windspren are confirmed to be cousins, not identical.

Since I'll be transcribing it, you guys should see it sometime around next Christmas. (Just kidding, as soon as I get it and have some free time, I'll get right on it.)

Just so you know, the highprinces Taravangian ordered slaughtered were Veden highprinces, not Alethi. So Szeth has been slaughtering the leaders of Jah Keved, and left the Alethi alone so far.
-
I kind of think he really didn't see anything important. I think that the horrors of battle and the pain of his wound just broke him a bit, not something shocking or world-shaking.
-
Yes!!! Silence Divine novella! He'd mentioned that before, but I didn't know if it was still planned.

It's unclear. I'm certain Nohadon was not a Herald, personally. He seems to have offered up the ideals that orders of Knights arranged themselves around, although they served various Heralds. This is how I see the timeline. Oathpact created Many Desolations Nohadon's Desolation Dalinar's Vision (Immediately afterward) Nohadon writes The Way of Kings Radiants Founded More Desolations Aharietiam (Final Desolation) Heralds Quit, Oathpact broken Recreance Hierocracy Modern Day
