I also think this is a future event, wed have SOME clue otherwise. The real interesting one though is Sigzil, it's the first time we've seen the recipient or subject of a death rattle be present to hear it. They're always about others, or in the case of Kal he doesn't realize it's about him like jumping the chasm & drinking the Stormlight. Sigzil hearing it allowed him to directly change it, since we know futuresight is infallible, there's countless possible futures. I really doubt it's referring to future ex-Nomad Sig. Also what's bugged me for 15 years is wtf is the point of moelach..odium has his own future sight. How do the death rattles help anything..? Other than maybe freaking out the enemy? I always figured he was doing something else more ominous and the death rattles were just a side effect AOE. It's possible leyten or Moelach influenced the rattle so sigzil would be warned, too, we know they're somewhat aware it's happening since that Shin in the hospital refused to tell the Diagram the rattle since he knew they were involved. But yeah, climbing, dark twin, it's very evocative but doesn't ring any bells, took 4 books to answer some of the old ones, makes sense this is also a future one.

What was Harmony the first/only shard to have done?
Stigmadiabolicum replied to Limpy's topic in Cosmere Discussion
he specifically says hes the only known living shard to have "performed the.." ____ So either a ritual, an ability..or could be as simple as doing some arcanist tradition, performed the dance, or the X or Y tradition, as a nicety? But yes, could be performed the thing that releases his investiture from scadrial to allow it to be used abroad? But we know shards are mostly divorced from their invested arts..the fact preservation and ruin created scadrial does make a lot of things they can do unique to the planet. I do agree the fact he clarifies living implies a past shard could have done it, Virtuosity, Honor But the fact it's said in relation to him being nice, makes me doubt it's some crazy shard reveal, hopefully he answers in a WoB so we don't have to wait 15 years to find out. -
It's funny how he managed to beat Vins high score of shortest time as a shard, she had a day or two he had a few hours tops. He could have easily become a CS like Kel since he was invested as a shard, would be nice to see him again, maybe he'll be able to pop up like Nohadon to future bondsmiths regardless. But since Brandon made it clear well never get confirmation on the god beyond or not so as to not prove Dalinar or Jasnah right or wrong, I think being claimed by the god beyond is just Dalinars own POV on what is occurring, the same thing happened to Kel when he began to stretch and he didn't think of it in any religious context. That WoB made it clear spiritual shadow Blackthorn won't be a major factor going forward, but hopefully he can have a face turn and basically just be a replacement Dalinar haha. Just on a relisten now that the graphic audio is out I'm still bummed he had such an ignominious blink and you'll miss it death in the storm, even if the whole sun makers gambit with retribution is storming awesome. Its just hard to imagine the Voidlight archive back 5 without Dalinar
-
So I just started wondering this too as I listen to Sunlit again with the new graphic audio.. They usually capture Stormlight scenes SO well, the most epic version with the music and voice acting, and they know their rust casting Hoid and Saze correctly in their scenes or epigraphs But that was my only complaint is the scene where he thinks he sees Kal, when I first read that I got chills. It was so evocative, we all went nuts with theories when the sample chapters came out haha, but the GA didn't quite do it justice with music. That aside..yeah. As far as we know he leaves at the end of WaK, might not even know what happened with Retribution, and even though Aux is Szeths spren, they didn't know what happened to Kal. Only people who know he's a herald are the other heralds, the Wind..and that's about it. Well, probably bridge 4 even with a body they'll be like eh, he survived somehow. So assuming the Return hasn't happened yet, he likely has no idea about the current affairs on Roshar unless he scoped some things out when he was on Ashyn, or Hoid kept him up to date? We don't know if this is post era 2 Hoid on Scadrial, if he made his way back to Roshar yet.. impossible to say. The timelines are impossible to parse..some aspects seem like they're late Era 4, like Emberdark time since theyre already in the cold war. The time dilation does add some kinks..but I mean, depending on what Kel does on Scadrial in Era 3 based on his comments at the end of TLM, they could have a rapid launch up the tech trees. Roshar had made so much progress with magitech and I'm still so confused how anything will work now, unless honor breaks off early in book 6 or warlight is just usable. Idk, I really want our boy Sig to eventually make it back.. I mean..era 4 space age is Mistborn but Roshar will still need to be at that level, and if it's long after jasnah is dead after her book 10 it won't really make sense. I think it all comes down to if era 3-4 is a few decades and we keep all our characters, or if by the end it's a century later. The thing is we can't tell if he's surprised to see Kal purely because it's manifesting on an alien world, or if he's supposed to be long dead. Wonder if we can get a WoB on this

Unite them, feels like a let down
Stigmadiabolicum replied to neshua_kadal's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Granted..theres always the backup Dalinar cognitive shadow, who can just as easily go on the same journey down the line But yeah..it's possible this was Nohadons influence not just Honor, but yeah I mean as much as I loved W&T, and the endless sanderlanche, some aspects felt a bit rushed to get to the end and breezed past some pretty major moments. Maybe once I listen to the graphic audio and get the full experience I'll think differently. But yeah, Dalinars arc is kind of a bummer and anticlimactic if that's just it, even if he gets kind of a survivor/Kelsier impact on scadrial since a religion was forming around him, and once Hoid spreads the word of what he did. -
Just finished another relisten of Starsight, the most illuminating section about this was when Morimuur was about to get back into the Drafting pod. They talk about all their relatives lining up, and mention how the lefts, rights and nongendered ones lined up. So they have the equivalent of 3 haha, blues reds and unaligned. But I believe cuna and Morimuur are always they, I think it's just pointless to try and view them through the context of our human genders haha. But yeah, I always saw cuna in female context too, which is just how were wired as humans I think. It's kind of like the Asari in mass effect who seen all female but are actually nongendered.
-
I mean he does a double take when he sees her, he once courted a deaf woman but implied he ruined it but puking, like Charlie, he rambles the same way, said his family dragged him away from home, hoid said so many journeys would end early if the heroine realized the thing she she was searching for was right next to her the whole time haha, I noticed several of these on my first listen but it didn't click until that last clue by narrator hoid when she became sprouter. My meta brain knew he'd need to be in the narrative somehow, plus it's a parallel to Princess Bride as intended. I'm loving the graphic audio so far, it's always the best way to experience the cosmere and the regular audiobooks are a pale shadow of them without the full cast, and especially actually having the Hoid VA as narrator as intended, he's been perfect across all the main series.

Does Dalinar have living Shardplate?
Stigmadiabolicum replied to Ba-Ado-Fisherman's topic in Cosmere Discussion
On yet another graphic audio relisten of OB and yeah that line definitely stands out, especially since not much later we see Kaladins proto-plate forming in Shadesmar, and with Jasnah and Shallan in that recent chapter we see that's exactly how it coalesces. (funny how it's only been 2 years from WoK to KoWaT, crazy you can blast through ideals like that fast) I hope he gets it before the champion duel at least in a big epic OB like moment..even though he might end up fused haha -
Discuss the Stormlight 5 Prologue Here
Stigmadiabolicum replied to LewsTherinTelescope's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Okay so holy crap the new version of this, after two years of discussion, doesn't make SF seem any less fake.. But does add him recognizing Jezriens blade and WTF VASHER MADE THE ANTI VOIDLIGHT?! sure he's been a scholar that made nightblood but goddamn. Really want him to talk to Navani now like he did with Kal discussing CS and Investiture -
Discuss the Stormlight 5 Prologue Here
Stigmadiabolicum replied to LewsTherinTelescope's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Coming back to this again years later with the new info we have..(definitely my favorite thread of the samples besides maybe Cusicesh/Iri) with the info about Adonalsium-era spren like Wind and Stone, BAM was definitely one of those types that was Unmade, with what stormfaker and Kelek said, and that's why it affected Roshar so deeply. More than just odium also being a rhythm of the planet. Also I really need to know how Kelek might have caused the recreance. Still on board with stormfaker, there's just way too many red flags than just him taking a different approach with Dalinar..also he doesn't hold any resentment to the Heralds like SF did until he bonded with Dalinar and came to understand them and their oathbreaking in OB. The big question still is "it's too soon they can't see they can't know" wtf? The void spren seeing chana appear? What about this scenario would lead to who seeing what in regards to him? -
I was reading old WoBs and Brandon signed one of the aloy of law books with "remember Hammonder Bay" haha.. I'm wondering if they knew it would be the site of the final encounter and waynes last stand back then in 2015.. I think as a mistborn and being able to compound gold though, if he'd started compounding while in the bubble and then done a huge push right as he dropped the bubble it's possible, especially if Sazed could do the Mistblessed avatar allomancy buff vin was powering Elend with at the pits..but honestly, as much as I reeeeally wanted world hopping Wayne joining Melaan, it was fitting for his story, especially with giving the money to her and the pranks. Needed the stakes like losing vin and Elend. Another wob did clarify wax obviously figured out he was MB down the line, but unless they do have that one more kid they talked about idk if it'll be relevant in era 3.
-
FirstSelector "Was Cultivation close enough to when Odium got Honor, to know how to fight back?" Brandon Sanderson "Heheheheh. I would say yes." I thought I'd read all the WoBs but just found this one id never seen. So this almost implicitly confirms odium did do it, and now she knows how to splinter a shard. However, that laugh haha, definitely could mean she was the one that did the deed, so he's laughing because she was absolutely close when he died. Like others have said, I don't think any shard is flat out benevolent, but it doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. She might love tanavast, but be tired of his intent clashing with hers, and assisted in taking him out, but still also opposes odium. Personally I don't think she'd help recover Dalinar if she wasn't anti odium, her interaction with todium could be seen either way, he's way too cocky for a fresh shard & she's been one for millenia and immediately knows he's got ulterior motives but as per usual is going for the long con..or he actually did trick her and she thinks he'll be chill, but I just can't see that. She got her revenge against rayse, and is planting the seeds for Dalinar and lift to take up the other two shards. I just don't think we'll get the full story on her till the back 5, maybe a few bits in the next one

I just listened to the shoemakers interlude chapter on my current graphic audio relisten and id totally forgotten he said the seventh land would be when they rejoined with the One.. Roshar is the fourth land. They leave in era 2, end up in scadrial next during W&W (since that takes place in between book 5-6 of stormlight) tress is way later but we don't know how long it had been, gotta be fairly recent so that would be the sixth land.. so wherever they went next is their final destination. (Also nale is a dick haha that poor dude, especially since he realizes the desolation has begun a few months later) Good point! That would make a lot of sense if they originated on Sel. That's the only other culture with predominantly light coloring.
-
The interesting thing is Returned are the exception to the rule, as per WoB endowment hacked the usual system, hence why they're untethered and not stuck to their planet like fused/heralds/Kel. I think it's more with the latter 3 they're linked with the shards power which gives that rubber band effect, we know fused are constantly powered with void light..but endowment just gave the power and doesn't keep them connected, might be why they need the weekly breath to keep it going So we know it's definitely possible, the problem is figuring out how to achieve that outside of a shard directly handing it over, and it has to be something besides just unkeyed metal minds. Also even though Kel is in a mistwraith body without powers, kandra aren't incapable of it as we saw with Bleeder, though it's unclear if that was only because of the Bavadinium spike
-
Oh man, well I bet you're stoked now after Lost Metals reveal as well as the recent crazy interlude chapter and Tress. Got more clues about them in a year or two than we got in decades. They seriously get around. It's clear like the shin they have kept old knowledge better than the other cultures but it doesn't seem to have warped as much as the isolated shin. Be really cool if they are being sheparded by an as of yet unseen shard like intellect or the survival shard. I wouldn't be surprised if they were on nalthis before, maybe on sel, we dont know how long autonomy has blocked travel to their planet so idk if they've been to taldain) But with the last two there should be some record of them, roshar got its history & progress nuked by countless desolations, Rashek hit the pause button for a millennia there, but the former two seem to have been consistent for all that time. (Kind of crazy to think the two major sharld worlds barely started developing tech and knowledge within the last century or so.. nalthis and sel should be full on sci fi worlds by comparison haha.. Though I guess having Elantrians and gods in power might have led to being stagnant as well..) But yeah, he's clearly saving the lore for the iriali til era 4, when well discover their whole pilgrimage was to lead up to that big confrontation in dragonsteel.. So just have to wait till like 2043 or so after stormlight 10 and mistborn 13

Isles of the Emberdark Reading Discussion
Stigmadiabolicum replied to AonEne's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It's really surreal that after like a decade of us theorizing about that tiny glimpse of the Sixth sequel, future scadrians and a possible Fused Skybreakers, shard guns..so many times people would be like WTF?? Haha since it was hidden in the arcanum. Sunlit kind of scratched that itch, but holy crap now we're actually getting that sequel. I doubt we'll see much of the other shardworlds since dusk goes into shadesmar though..and somehow also getting Frost/Yolen details, I remember everyone discussing frosts letter to Hoid like 15 years ago, I feel old. seems like it will be a blend of Triss and Sunlit, not just because Xixis is in it. I can't wait, the details about space age cosmere we got in triss/Yumi/sunlit were the best parts. also Sunlit set up why Nazh would become a shade since he's from threnody. Wonder how he died..seems like he's dressed in Era 2 scadrian clothes, scoping out Wax & Wayne with khriss and got taken out? After centuries with silverlight how the hell would he get ganked. Maybe Kel haha. It's just frustrating we won't get books set in this era for real until like 2035, after era 3/Elantris sequels..- 161 replies

Why didn't Ruin make the Keepers into Inquisitors?
Stigmadiabolicum replied to robardin's topic in Mistborn
Minor nitpick to the earlier posters, Ruin was most definitely already exerting control by WoA..it's the whole reason Marsh is acting so weird and takes Sazed to the Conventical to find the plaque and spark the whole plan with the well for Vin. Marsh didn't have other goals there, he was lying haha. True, we don't know to what extent he was able to control them, but likely also the reason they all left the building and butchered the staff. He was already making his move. We know he was sending out pulses this entire time in secret history, and it wasn't just to nudge vin or a few crazy people. Imprisoned or not, inquisitors were literally walking Ruin conduits. At least like, toggle an objective on and send them in that direction, not quite yet full avatars of his will, besides Marsh. -
Why were the Bands of Mourning drained?
Stigmadiabolicum replied to Berlyn's topic in Cosmere Discussion
In BoM Wax says "The Bands are drained, mostly, but we could probably recharge them by compounding" So they were already at like 5%, he mainly used steel and a blend of the other physical traits but never really used soothing or the other emotional ones, or a few F powers. What's weird is they shouldn't be able to "drain", the unkeyed F powers you'd just start a new recharge cycle, store some health/speed/weight, swallow that metalminds and burn it, flare it and so on. They're not single use haha. But in that intense moment they weren't thinking, and the admiral/Kelsier were definitely making a play there. Honestly for years now I've just been itching to finally get the full scoop on the south, I know them, Kel and the tech was basically seeds planted for era 3 but waiting til era 3 sucks haha, I want secret history 2 -
I didn't mean innate like breath, where they're born with it, I meant as long as they're in Elantrian or using the devices they just have access to that investiture, it isn't running out, it isn't draining like stormlight, or a set mana bar like allomancers. He loves his limitations, hence the reod, id imagine the sequels would incorporate a big cooldown or at least something to prevent them spamming aons nonstop, but the region lock already kind of limits them without the tech. My point was just they don't need to consume a temporary source of investiture, they have a permanent constant link to it, with no shardholder in the way. Breaths are closer to that, since it just drains color and you can just keep recovering the breaths (besides lifeless) but Elantrians are always plugged in to their power source, like returned. Scadrial and Roshar only get to tap into it, without spheres or metals they're uninvested. That's what I meant by innate. But yeah, definitely seems clear skip capacity requires way more than your usual techniques. Wish we knew for sure if that was tied to the dawnshard, since sig was windrunner/skybreaker seems like it had to be. Would explain why he wanted Elantrian powers so badly haha, permanent Dor connection to skip with, and can likely power his mistborn/radiant ability knowing him. He was able to use his breath/allomancy to deduce the missing time from Odium after all haha. But yeah, we need a power scale, give it a few weeks we'll have WoBs of people asking how many breath units the main classes would be at on average
-
I agree with the breakdown, going by Rysns warning about spren bonds, it's possible he intentionally ended his bond as a windrunner before taking up the dawnshard, but then that doesn't explain why he'd begin a new bond as a skybreaker. Feel like Hoid could have warned him about draining his spren, but I guess he only recently got design, idk. I'm still in the back 3/4, I didn't want to rush it haha, got another year til KoWaT, and (the chasm kata/bridge 4 gave me chills) But I'm loving all the tidbits we get, i think 5% skip capacity is a bad baseline since it's an immense amount required to skip compared to what would be incredibly strong mistborn/awakeners/radiants in era 1/2. It's like you need Elantrian levels of investiture to skip, since dawnshards are the primordial investiture, seems like you get the base abilities of being invested, like early heightenings (with Rysn) and some of the various powers like elsecaller teleporting/bondsmith connection meddling. Now that he's established breath units reeeally want a WoB of him saying the baseline units of a standard radiant/Elantrian/awakener, and what level someone like Rashek and Susebron were at, since they're splinters/close enough in the latters case.. Also as far as the timeline, using real world tech progression towards spaceflight to judge length of time isn't a good example, look at Yumi, they're still somewhat limited tech wise but purely having the hion they can travel to a neighboring planet, and roshar/scadrial airship tech is already 75% of the way there, a few more developments in fabrials and metalminds and you got space travel. The scadrian shuttle we see in SotD2 preview isn't a huge leap from era 2. At first I also was imagining a century/century and a half based on Hoids comment about his travels..but the thoughts about his friends seems to imply he could still go back and see them, whether that requires shardic intervention/worldhopper extended lifespans/or they're just in old age we can't really tell, could honestly just be 40/50 years since book 5, that's at least the bare minimum to be older than the 3 women. He did a really good job at giving us awesome cosmere details while skirting around any tidbits about the state of Roshar. We know horneaters are abroad in TLM, thaylens now too, and iriali, although I noticed he doesn't seem hostile or prejudiced against scadrial, so their inevitable conflict might not have started yet. (Funny how the cinder king has the same idea as Odium that Rosharans could be cosmere wide conquerors) Now I'm just curious what led Hoid to give him the dawnshard, Honor seemed to think they weren't available in the vision and somehow was unaware 2 were on Roshar?! rust, just so many questions. The complaints back when the sample chapter was released that they didn't want to see a bleak hopeless future Sigzil since it would mess with his arc in SA are eating their words considering his development into zellion haha He kind of touches on it, but since traveling the subastrals through shadesmar already worked there wouldnt be huge pressure to develop space travel, save for reaching Sel, I'm guessing it's the colonial aspect of reaching non shard worlds that would be inaccessible without perpendicularities. Aah just so many questions. I think we just don't have enough info to judge if it's been 50 or 200 years, but personally I'd say closer to 50.

Sunlit Man Full Book Reactions (No Cosmere Edition)
Stigmadiabolicum replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Okay so ive been dragging this out, i loved tress and yumi but been the most excited for this cosmere heavy book the most by FAR. I haven't finished it yet (Sigzil is just meeting with cinder king the second time) my only complaint is missing Hoids voice from graphic audio haha. Love the world, love the BDUs, love the threnodites..But my one comment is what he meant by "eyes that reminded him of those he had once loved/trusted" really curious about ideas there..i guess within a book only dliscussion and no cosmere spoilers idk if theres any theorizing that we can do, just really made me wonder I know Brandon loves his limitations and as much as the dawnshard torment is a nice spin, i enjoy glorious moments of awesome and wish he had more like Wax or Kal, but contemplation is an absolute badass. I'm assuming this gets addressed later on, but curious why they can't take shelter at the poles? If its like our world then it wouldnt get as much sun and more night, but i guess its just a temperature or food issue *Edit. Aah, mountains got it haha, i assumed from the star they were on a dwarf planet so the scales are a lot smaller -
Let me just say, super excited we finally got a unit (he mentioned in a WoB they had one but needed to finish working out the kinks) I definitely agree that weve seen enough people heavily invested getting that same feeling, but i think it also depends on both the shard and magic system. Elantrians are way more invested than any allomancer/radiant/returned since they're directly plugged in to the Dor, double shards worth of raw power with no shardholder, and the Ire/Raoden/Galladon can just hang out in that state, same with Yumi who was also off the charts. But thats innate power, same with returned. Dont need to refuel. A few spheres is deeefinitely more power than a few breaths, like a AA battery compared to a reactor, but awakening is kind of a tiered system, doesnt seem like theres much difference in quantity in-between the different heightenings. Id agree on that. But until now raw dor is the most beefy source besides the bands. Granted that was brand new during SA5-TLM and theyve come a long way since then. Maybe its tied to the types that use it as temporary fuel, allomancers, radiants, since its fuel in the tank they get that urge to let it out (granted metals dont rapidly deplete like stormlight) and the bands are a unique example, more like unkeyed Dor. I usually dont include Returned in comparisons of other invested types or CS's, since as Brandon has explained Endowment is the exception, she kind of hacked their system, its why they arent sticky and can just stroll over to roshar without being tethered to it. I do like the idea that the value of breath is way lower than it was in Warbreaker era, but i mean, i guess it depends on what youre using it for, Susebron is still massively OP in either era, same with Wax or Vin, but if you need to worldhop then might be a different story. Also i wouldnt say Elantrians healing is bad compared to a radiant, they just need an extra step, headshot might do it sure, but rapidly throwing aons out there they have infinitely more applications than the limited power set of radiants and even mistborn. they have additional protections like shielding and teleporting as well. That scene in Yumi with the power ranking device was definitely a big help, but we still arent 100% on what aspects are universal or not, like if that first heightening effect from the dawnshard is innate to all different types, maybe 4th ideal Kaladin will mention seeing more vibrant colors/pitch. Im just so stoked for this, i started at the beginning instead of where the sample chapters ended, haven't reached there yet (looking forward to that conversation and vision outside at the end there to see if we get anything more) Also with that one single tease we get about about him having been to Ashyn early on, reeeally hope we get more tidbits about his journey and state of affairs. WOB said this is meant to be read before SA5, that whatever happens with sigzil happens early so he misses what goes down afterwards so as to not spoil the events of the book. He wasnt kidding when he said this one was made for the cosmere fans, yumi and especially tress had some solid easter eggs but were still standalone, this is finally a book that builds on everything else weve read, cant wait til thats the norm in era 3/4.
-
Threnody vibes for sure, and shes basically part Returned part Shade, then Heralds herself physical form at the end with his connection haha. Their whole situation is an awesome blend of everything, splintered god like the Dor and elantris, threnody like shades, fused-adjacent scholars. Also "awakened" device, not sure if wob confirms this is native virtuosity tech using their own mechanics or if we're nearer to tress and they started with Nalthis tech like the translator, either way a hacked Bondsmith device is insanely powerul even if it turned out like Nightblood (funny how both powerful quasi sentient investiture creations just swallow souls) The biggest thing i noticed was descriptions of the nightmares is identical to Sja Anat, shadow with pinpricks of white. Honestly it was nice to see Hoid casually chat about Todium memory jacking him, both glad he eventually noticed (or design pieced it together) and that it wasnt damaging. Id love if if his adventures on the spore seas was right after this, like being stuck as a coat rack made him willing to take the bet to finally become Elantrian and be able to stop getting interfered with haha. Ironically in that adventure it's kind of reversed since design was just in the kandras desk the whole time. But yeah, he absolutely suceeded in capturing similar vibes to FFX, even has a straight up Zanarkand dream city kept alive by spirits haha. He did a good job incorprating realmatics in a way that builds on it but also eases into it for newer people. I loved their training, my only real nitpick is she never got to do much nightmare painting. I really loved the hion line technology, incredibly vivid blend of fabrial adjacent tech mixed with southern scadrian style devices. Thats the second mention of sho del after the reveal in Lost Metal, like aethers he's finally seeding in the oldest lore, though if you arent a cosmere scholar itll be totally random haha. We wont get any info on virtuosity until dragonsteel 2 decades from now, but I'm just going with splintering being the final and ultimate artistic expression, following its intent.

What Happened at the End(s)
Stigmadiabolicum replied to digitalbusker's topic in Yumi and the Nightmare Painter
This is exactly how i read it, taking into consideration what we know about the moment of death of heavily invested people, and connection. Kelsier was able to stick around a while, but was able to tether himself to the well, a perpendicularity, before the pull, but still in the cognitive, and eventually got a body back with Hemalurgy. Taravangian ascended at the moment of death, but as weve discussed in the past, he wasnt capital D dead yet, he would still be saved by regrowth at that point like yanagawn, so he still has ties to the physical unlike Kel. Saze would have been able to pop Elend and Vin back into their repaired bodies if they'd wanted it but willingly left, and the bands with f gold yoinked Wax back. Returned are basically getting a stapled hack back into the physical..but i usually exclude Endowment since she doesnt follow the rules haha, like being able to go offworld. Yumi was able to basically will herself back with intent using his Connection as the compass back, but the lies and training pushed that back at first. Remember, shes more invested than a freaking Elantrian, off the charts haha. She basically has direct access to her planets Dor, likely a mix of her role and the millenia communing with them each day. Shes unique from all of these, since it isnt a normal death, it isnt just physical body dies, Identity/self hops back in before going to the Beyond.. They aren't quiiite cognitive shadows, but basically, it seemed more like it transformed them directly into the nightmares, a weird blend of fused & threnody shades (With identical appearances to Sja Anat for some reason..) We know the spirits grant objects to townsfolk with the transfer, and make hion, I think as a nightmare she basically just pulled a Herald/Returned and used the spirits power of Virtuosity and creation to just make herself a body just like the Heralds do, and like she did inside the simulation. But definitely couldn't have done it without painters connection, it was a collaborative art piece haha. Honestly im happy with the ending, it isnt a high stakes book like mistborn or SA, just like Tress im glad they got to go live at the noodle shop. -
Cause of the Recreance(ROW spoilers)

I totally agree with the poster saying weve yet to see a comprehensive explanation for why all radiants would be in agreement on this, unless like the gambit against the alliance with dalinar, each piece affected a different order, honors raving about Ashyn and the dawnshards/binding of BAM/etc, different orders came to the same conclusion but because of different reasons, plus they werent needed anymore, and it wasnt worth the risk. As far as why binding BAM affected all spren like the sibling and making deadeyes We learned in RoW that odium now has a true tone of Roshar, the sibling sees it as foreign but even though he doesnt like investing, its happened So removing BAM and severing that would affect all of Roshar deeply, and my personal theory ive agreed with is whatever BAM was before being unmade is a big factor, spren of connection or tones, something that was deeply linked to the world like stormfather, and even though she was unmade it still caused a big impact, saving that maybe shed just done some exploit to grant voidlight and forms of power, and it led to repercussions, likely also leading to the everstorm idea
