religion How has religion impacted you?
Lord Gregorio replied to Robin Sedai's topic in General Discussion
Lol haven't seen this before, but I personally think it's hard to see exactly how religion impacts our lives due to we (normally) don't know what it's like without it. Though I do think it makes me happier and have more purpose. I think religion is a great thing to give more purpose to people's lives. It also seems to have kept families together (from my experience) as well as help bring them back together. -
Yo let's goo .

The Person Below Me
Lord Gregorio replied to The Awakened Salad's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I do indeed. It kinda sucks, but I'll get a better one soon. TPBM likes the rain. -
Ridiculous things you did as a kid
Lord Gregorio replied to The Paradoxical Phenomenon's topic in General Discussion
I as well would eat paper, and grass. I also enjoyed laying on the floor and flipping those door stop spring thingies as I'm sure many did. I spent a lot of time sitting and daydreaming up stories in my head, which is probably one of the reasons I really like writing stories now. -
Cool. I'll look into those. I'll definitely use Hello Future Me's videos too, I've seen some of his stuff.

I still like dogs more.

Anything creative writing really, but specifically toward longer form fiction (fiction novels, not short stories)

How in heck have I never seen this one before? I love Calvin and Hobbes.

Anyone have good book recommendations for books on how to write? Or maybe like an online class or something I can do. I feel like I need to know more on stuff that actual philosophy/science/professional writers may help with.

So far it seems pretty good; the biggest recommendation as of now is to just keep going. Coming back for an edit is a must anyway so the first draft will suck no matter what. Don't stress too much about that. I'll give some minor pointers (don't take them too seriously. This is coming from someone as experienced or less so than yourself. ) Also understand I might list some things that might be not errors at all, but completely planned on your part. I'll just see what I think. Some minor wording edits to give you an idea of my thoughts for when you go back for the second draft In spoilers because it contains stuff from the book (read cheesman's first draft before you look in the spoilers. It's good stuff) This is all I have for now. I really liked the bit you had and hope you'll be able to publish it. Don't give up. I want to buy it when you publish!! Sorry this turned out so darn long. Lol. Edit: I just finished reading what you've got on the google doc, and I finalize my thoughts. I thought it got really good toward the end. I thought it was a bit of a copy of Stormlight Archive at first, but it is not. It's hard not to see similarities, but that's probably because I've listened to around 400 hours of Stormlight . It's so good though. I like how you don't have to use swear words every tenth word to make people sound angry and stuff. Good work cheeseman.

"I've got a goat in my boot." "You are a sad, strange little goat, and you have my pity. Farewell!" "You are a goat! You aren't the real Buzz Lightyear, you're, you're an action goat!" - (My least favorite one of the three. Thought it would be funnier, but it was not.)

Lord Gregorio replied to S. Stormy's topic in General Discussion

Boys. Not ONLY boys, but... Boys.
Lord Gregorio replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Sounds like an epic birthday @Channelknight Fadran, hope it ends up to be. -
I kinda liked the old one, but maybe that's because I haven't looked at the new one hard enough. Like @The Wandering Wizard said, I like how it's more based toward learning how to solve problems yourself instead of following "rules". There are still rules God has set for us to become perfect, but the new For the Strength of Youth pamphlet is (like I explained before) to help one make inspired decisions by themselves. I had a similar experience. My life is a lot better and I'm a lot less depressed with the sin gone from my life. Love seeing others having great experiences of recovery.
