  1. Changing the color of your hair at will. Glowing snot. Super fast growing fingernails and hair. Being able to start/stop hiccupping, crying, laughing, coughing, sneezing, etc. at will
  2. half used red oil pastels of a specific brand. Being stabbed through the fingernail. Sneezing not from pepper, but from salt.
  3. Ok, can't wait to hear what you think, but no worries if you don't finish it.
  4. Here's the link if you'd like to check it out, It's not quite finished yet, and I don't know if it's any good or not, but I'd love to hear what you think. Btw the writing gets better as the book goes on, the first few chapters aren't my best. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DsfHHt79M4YM5-V3NrbF7F0RKwPMVCeCE0nIwAMfpGQ/edit?usp=sharing
  5. Has anyone else read keeper of the lost cities? If you have I'd love to discuss theories. For instance who do you think Sophie's biological dad is, I personally think it's Elwin.
  6. In an interview shannon said she had a super hard time coming up with a title. Originally she wanted to call the first book Catching Everblaze, but her editor said it sounded too much like a story about a horse. Shannon and her agent both came up with list after list of names for the book before she finally asked her nieces to help her come up with a title for the book. One of them came up with the name Keeper of the Lost Cities.
  7. I bet one of the elves cut a crystal into a leaping crystal, held it up to the light somehow and stepped into it.
  8. Thanks, I've been wondering about this for a while, it's nice to have an answer, even if there's no specifics.
  9. I've been writing a story lately, I'm about halfway done writing it. It's about a girl Callie who's grown up an orphan. The thing is she has three powers, and she's been hiding them as long as she can remember. One day she has the bright idea to search up her powers online to see if she can get answers. unbeknownst to her the Lorians (A magical species I invented) watch the internet. They send someone to check out why Callie was searching these things up, and they're suprised to discover Callie is actually a Lorian. Callie ends up going to a school to learn how to use her powers, there she makes friends, enemies and has to decide what to do when a mysterious note claims to have known her parents. Callie ends up in the middle of three massively powerful warring groups and starts to break from the stress of it all. I finished the story!
  10. This is really good! I'm an aspiring writer and as far as I can tell this is great writing. (I'm a newer writer so not sure how good my judgement is.)
  11. I totally agree with this, Delvers and Calamity are way too similar for it to be a coindidence.
  12. I noticed that both the Delvers and Calamity were acting really similar, complaining about the noise and all that. Are they the same?
  13. I read it with a hard J. the audiobook also has a hard J.
  14. I could totally see Spensa ending up as a villain, she has the perfect origin story!
  15. I'd have to go with MeLaan, the way she casually talks about things like eating humans is super interesting. It's also cool how she's lived through the original mistborn series as well.
