Happy birthday, Syn!

my boyfriend is sick and I'm sad about it

he was sick yesterday, too and I just sat in the corner in our woodshop class and did literally nothing the entire class period because I don't want to have to socialize with the other people in that class so all i did was listen to music and wallow in my misery while the other people in the class kept "accidentally" bumping into me on my little rolley stool thing

planing on doing it again today, but if the kids in my class mess with me again I'm just gonna walk out of the class, which isn't normal of me

and I'm sure my grandma will start to complain about it to me, like she does with my grades and missing assignments and everything else. she'll probably tell me that I'm overly-dramatic for being sad that my boyfriend isn't at school, when I literally cried about it last night

he has influenza b, the rare one

and he had around a 103 fever for the past two days

now I'm sad

my grandfather makes some... questionable remarks about the female workers at the retirement home he lives at. it makes both me and my grandmother uncomfortable. but it's fine, I guess

Quick update on the Wilbur drama:

Wilbur's band mates from Lovejoy (Ash Kabosu, Joe Goldsmith, and Mark Boardman) have not said anything at all relating to the current situation, and I think it's mainly because Wilbur is the one that started the band and asked the other members if they wanted to be apart of it, and the band is their only form of income at the moment, so if they were to speak out about any of this, no matter how they side, they would lose money. if they side with Wilbur, they'd probably lose more fans than they already have (due to what Wilbur did to Shelby). But if they side with Shelby, then I think Wilbur would end up kicking them out of the band. either that, or they would kick Wilbur out, somehow.

I also think it's because they were the ones who probably spent the most amount of time around Wilbur, so they're probably going to need a while to process everything and make sense of things, and, who knows? maybe they sent their support out to Shelby in private? It seems a lot more genuine that way, in my opinion, because there have been people who are super homophobic and transphobic (Shelby is not transgender, I'm just making a point here) and they act that way publicly, and they are "supporting" Shelby on social media,and even Shelby has pointed out that they're probably just doing it for publicity, but she still appreciated their support.

I know that Ash doesn't ever audibly speak on social media/during concerts and that he's just a generally very quiet person, and I've only ever seen him post on Twitter a few times, but I could've been wrong about that part.

But yeah, that's my thoughts on this so far, I'll continue to update this,even if no one is actually reading these/invested in the situation, mainly because it's kind of become my new hyper fixation, and it's also really important to me.

for those of you who aren't already aware, a twitch streamer and musician known by the name Wilbur Soot, his real name William Patrick Gold, is someone who i enjoyed watching and listening to. he was a member of the dream smp (a Minecraft (RP?) platform involving Dream and many other twitch streamers), started a band called Lovejoy, and was previously dating another twitch streamer named Shubble (Shelby).

Shelby has mentioned in a recent past stream that her ex-boyfriend (and she doesn't state specifically who it is, either) would bite her multiple times and hurt her every day even when she would say the safe word that the two of them agreed on in order to revoke consent. and instead of stopping, he would just bite down harder. she said that, since her ex would leave bruises on her arms from biting, that he would bite her legs so that she "wouldn't look abused." although the name isn't explicitly stated, it became increasingly obvious that Shelby was talking about Wilbur Soot. Shelby also mentioned that her first ex-boyfriend (not Wilbur) sexually assaulted her, and that Wilbur would pin her to the bed and challenge her to fight back, and she couldn't. she said that Wilbur already knew about her experience of being sexually assaulted, and he completely abused that knowledge.

Wilbur responded to Shelby publicly on X (previously known as Twitter) with a (not very good, according to a lot of people) apology, but doesn't specifically mention Shelby by name. the majority of the comments is just people hating on him and basically publicly shaming him. many people even sent him death threats/wishes. some of Wilbur's closest friends, including TommyInnit and Tubbo, have cut ties with Wilbur due to this.

Wilbur has left the majority, if not all, of his socials, including his discord servers. many of the discord mods for these servers have changed their status(s?) to something along the lines of "screw Wilbur. support victims" or "#SuppostShelbySquad"

I truly think I should make it known that I do not in any way, shape, or form support domestic abuse or sexual violence, or abuse/violence or any kind, for that matter. I support Shelby for being brave enough to come forward about this topic. that being said, ialso support Wilbur solely for his music and maybe his twitch streams (even though he hasn't streamed since October of 2023). however, I do not support his actions and what he did to Shelby. what he did is not okay. it never will be. Thank you for reading this. I needed to get it out of my system.
