  1. Alright. Let's screw this world over. She opened the front door, dagger in hand, to the forest.
  2. She felt the black ink crawl up her wrist, and finally pulled her hand away with a wince. It had grown enough now. She took out her dagger and sliced the belladonna, letting it fall into her pouch. Then she sliced the chlorophytum comosum, the plant which allowed for the "deadly nightshade" to grow near it's roots. What an irony of nature. The atropa belladonna had only one antidote: physostigmine and pilocarpine. How coincidental it was that this could only be found in the chlorophytum comosum. Nature was beautiful in that way. And deadly. The poison could only grow at the root of the antidote. Together, forever. The demon, wishing harm. And the angel, healing the victim. How beautiful. Jane closed her pouch and swung it over her shoulder, walking back down the staircase. She reached the door, and was going to open it when she glanced down, seeing her wrist and fingers covered in the poison of the deadly nightshade. Storms. She cracked open one leaf of the chlorophytum comosum and covered her wrist with the antidote, wrapping it quickly in the cloth around the hem of her cardigan, which had become very small and ripped at this point. Then she tucked away the rest of the leaf among the rest of the chlorophytum comosum and atropa belladonna. She opened the door back to the entrance room. @Edema Rue
  3. Her hand began to hurt, but she couldn't release now. This would be key. Perhaps the answer between life and death. If she would kill, she would start quietly. And if she would manipulate, she needed power. Power like this poison. Power like the antidote.
  4. "Okay, let me try this," she muttered under her breath. She caressed the leaves of the plant, closing her eyes, carefully to avoid the atropa belladonna rooting among the leaves of the chlorophytum comosum. This could go horribly wrong. But I need the belladonna to grow. She touched the plant. Atropa Belladonna. More commonly known as Deadly Nightshade.
  5. Jane felt the leaves carefully. It seemed like an old chlorophytum comosum in an almost cracked terracotta pot. She tried to lift it.
  6. @Edema Rue Jane touched the dying, shriveled leaves tentatively.
  7. Jane sighed and crouched down by the plant. I could make good use of this place. Perhaps find ways to start not only defending myself but... Attacking others.

  9. Why thank you. How can I ever repay you, but to do the same whenever I possibly can?
  10. She looked out, trying to notice anything in the forest of particular note.
  11. Thank you for alerting me. I am ever so grateful. *glares*
  12. She continues up, looking for an end. Delilah was near, watching. She could tell. The animals could tell. They wouldn't attract to her anymore. Delilah was near. And Jane was losing her talent. Her sister was watching. Always.
  13. Quickly, Jane walked up the staircase, keeping light on her feet and eyes watchful.
  14. Jane looked up (or down ?) at the dim, dusty staircase. I have nothing better to do. That's not true. She had much more to do that may have been a better use of her time. Less dangerous, at least. Well, I have nothing left to lose. That, too, wasn't true. She had so much to lose. But this may be the answer. The woman may be the answer. She glanced back to see if the door had remained propped open.
  15. Jane smiled softly, and creaked open the door further. With a hand on her dagger, she stepped onto the staircase.
  16. "This hasn't been used in a while," Jane muttered. She looked back to where the elderly woman had been. I need to keep this door open. And I need to keep her on that couch. And where was Aaron?
  17. Jane opened it slowly.
  18. "Do you... know where this one leads?" Jane asked, keeping her eyes on the door.
  19. Jane smiled at her, "Thank you, miss," she said, handing her the peppermint tea. She stood and began to walk about the room, searching for another door.
  20. "Is a tower the only other part of this house? No basement? No attic?"
  21. "What was your brother's name?" Jane asks, when there is a brief pause in the story as the woman takes a breath.
  22. "Miss, I want to try something with you," Jane brought over the two teas, "Tell me everything you can remember from your childhood." Was this a gamemaker's twisted and sick joke? A game of manipulation under the guise of the elderly? Or was it genuinely an old woman with dementia... Or worse... An old woman who's memory had been wiped.
  23. "Is there a door back there, or is this the only room? It seemed taller from outside."
