  1. I really like that art. Plus, it's Lift, so it grants you bonus points. 9/10
  2. Welcome to the Shard!
  3. I just realized that you could try to Forge someone to make them Allomancers, Feruchemists or Radiants. That could lead to some crazy things, when Forgers begin to meet people from other worlds. Granted, the whole location-dependent thing about Selish magic mean you would only be a Radiant in the area of the Rose Empire. But it's still cool.
  4. No ...is it okay to have an entire world as your guess? I'm not sure so I will not confirm nor deny directly, but: Not Hallandren 1.This place was home to both human and non-human characters. 2. This place is on Scadrial
  5. Okay, let's try! 1. This place was home to both human and non-human characters.
  6. They were also probably quite involved in politics. It looks like they acted as mediators between various nations before the Last Desolation, so it would make sense for them to keep a similar role after. Kind of like the Aes Sedai in Wheel of Time
  7. The quiz gives me Truthwatcher and Edgedancer. Which is completely fine to me, since I really like both of those. Though I also want to be Windrunner (partly because flying is cool), so...
  8. The Sovereign's Temple? (The treason being Wax's sister being with the Set)
  9. How do you have three nuclear fusion-powered private planes? How does any of that make sense?
  10. Welcome! Who is your favourite character?
  11. Got my wisdom teeth extracted last year. Pure fun. (How can it be only last year? Feels like a millenia ago...) TBPM feels they should spend less time on the internet.
  12. Yes It's your turn then, if you want it
  13. What happened is that the host of the power, the Vessel, died. But in addition, the power was Splintered, ie divided in lots of tiny pieces. The power could be reconstitued and a new Vessel Ascend, but it would be really hard. In addition, it appears that Tanavast (the Vessel of Honor) did something in his final years to prevent his power to leak in the Cognitive Realm, as would have happened in a "normal" Splintering. We don't know exactly what it was, and we don't really know what happened to the power. Lots of things about that time stay very unclear. Cosmere
  14. Well it's my turn. *tries to pretend I had not forgotten it at all* 1. One character grew up in this place.
  15. How do I help someone drowning in front of me? Are you sure it's how you're supposed to use it?
  16. Feruchemist. Being able to store wakefulness alone would be... rather beneficial to me. Having on top of that an external memory storage, and several abilities that will finally make me be not terrible at sport, is the cherry on the top.
  17. When I do the math off the Arcanum Unbounded chart, I find that the FE year is about half as long as a pre-Ascension year (46% of it). That would mean two full season cycles per calendar year, but I can't reconcile everything with that. Most notably, I don't see how the time gap between WoA and HoA could be even close to one year (WoA ends in late winter, then there is another full season cycle and HoA starts in the following spring - but that brings us to a bit more than half a calendar year) I'm wondering whether Brandon accounted for that when writing. A bit like when he writes SA and does not accounts for the Rosharan calendar - except when writing Era 1 Karen was not there to keep track of all that. Or it's just my math that is wrong.
  18. You use water for that? And a pot? I'm going to show you how it's done *puts a pile of spaghetti on the hot cooking plate* When listening to music
  19. Granted. Your devices never run out of battery, because they don't have one now. I wish to be under the sea, in an octopus' garden in the shade
  20. Granted. You see everything so perfectly, you are blinded by all the light your eyes receive and you must stay at all times in an absolutely light-free room. Except the night, when you can get out. With three pairs of sunglasses. I wish to know what is the best book ever written as of now, so I know what I can add next to my gargantuan TBR.
  21. This caused some problems, as their hierarchy was entirely based on age (ie actually lived years) and there was no way to tell whether that seemingly 80-yo had lived more years than this apparent baby.
