Quest looked up as Antin ran into the room. Wait, Antin could help! Would he be able to drain the fire now that it was non-magical? At what point did the fire stop becoming fueled by his magic and began to be self-sustaining? Hmm. This would require testing later. Antin called out to Quest, breaking him out his thoughts. "Hmm, yes? Oh, umm, me and Vance were testing out a theory." Quest glanced at the raging fire. "It got out of hand." Miyako covered up a yawn, looking around the camp. "Nah. Ya got a way off this island?"

Wait, tides no. Miyako did not think this through. "We're not really fighting the Queen, just trying to leave the island. I'm not going out of my way to go fight more guards." Miyako shrugged.

Vance blinked. "Great!" The rune exploded. "Ah, sh-" Quest slumped back against a wall, suddenly very tired. He was also trying to avoid the large fire. Coincidently, Quest had covered the floor of the main foyer with a mess of papers. They quickly went up in flames. The wooden floor would most likely catch on fire shortly. Quest let out a strangled cry for his days of work that was going up in flames. That would be annoying. But right now, keeping the house from burning down seemed more important. Quest backed away from the fire, going through his options. His reserves of fire were dangerously low, and more fire probably wouldn't help. His life magic would be useful for healing after, but not useful right now. Maybe Quest could...no that wouldn't work. What else would put out a fire... Quest brightened. He began to yell out the front door, "KEALIE! Go get the, um, buckets of water!" @Ookla the BlowUpperOfStuff

"Um, ok." Quest pulled a paper out dropped the rest in a pile behind him. "Umm, yes. No, yes. Let's just go." Quest glanced over at Vance and breathed out, focusing. Quest looked down at the paper, committing the rune to memory and began to look at the air in front of him. Quest intently stared at the air and after an awkward few seconds glowing red energy began to form in the air. Quest smiled before quickly smothering it with a focused expression. The red light began to draw across the air, forming the shape of a rune. Quest began to sweat. The rune closed off, completed the shape. The red light went from an ambient glow to a harsh bright red. Quest barked out a laugh. The light filled the room until the rune was lost in the middle of an angry sun. Quest raised his arm to cover his eyes, blinded from the sudden illumination. With the break in concentration the rune's light receded and the energy holding the rune together fell apart. Globs of fire were exploded out of where the rune had just been.

"Well my magic is life and fire, it just manifests as light. And, in theory, um, the rune will amplify the magic and focus it. Right now it might glow in its natural state but when used in the Light rune, the whole magic will be focused on the task." Quest squinted at one of his papers. "Umm, at least that is what I think. It might just blow up."

I think that though this is an interesting theory, there are few leaps in logic that make this to hard for me to believe. Though in retrospect it seems coincidental that there are both ashspren and mistspren, both big parts of the Scadrian system, I think that other spren are just as weird. Highspren are tears into the void that for some reason are very law oriented. Those two don't really make sense together. Inkspren are based off a very specific way to write stuff down. In general I would say a decent amount of the higher spren are not based highly generalized ideals. I wouldn't say there is any more mist and ash then there is starry voids and, um, whatever Cryptics are. Ashspren and Mistspren don't seem like outliers. Also, for this theory to function we either need a large number of Scadrians to have been on Roshar and have influenced the cognitive realm or have ash and mistspren migrate to Roshar after existing on Scadrial. Neither of these make a ton of sense. Having a large enough number of scadrians live on Roshar long enough to change how the spren are made seems extremely unlikely to me. First off, some of the spren were formed before the Shattering happened, before Scadrial even existed. Second, having enough Scadrians somehow move to Roshar and create a big enough effect on the cognitive realm seems like that number would have to be extremely high. To high to be likely or make sense logistically. Also, we would probably have to see some descendants in the modern day. As for the second option, having the aspren and mistspren get created on Scadrial move to Roshar that also feels flawed. They would have to all collectively move, choose to change there name to spren and somehow still be compatible as Knight Radiant's spren. I don't think cognitive beings that weren't created from Honor and Cultivation would function as Knight Radiants spren. For a final reason this doesn't work: the Ashmounts were created in the last thousand years. Though we don't have the dates, I'm pretty dang sure the Heralds were starting the Knight Radiants at that point. The timeline simply doesn't work. Cool theory, but I think it for the reasons highlighted above, it doesn't work. Slight note, maybe consider a different title? You didn't really talk about Deadeyes or Bo-Ado Mishram. Just a thought.

Miyako shrugged. "I dunno know. Just kinda stabbed them." Miyako made jabbing motions with her hands. "It's not that hard."

"Um, yeah." Quest said. He stared intently at his hand and a moment later a green spark appeared, floating about his hand. The spark of light quickly ballooned in size, growing to the size of his palm. "The energy is pretty is easy to manipulate, it just, um, needs something to direct it. Like, um, a shape or a rune. Balls are easy, so I usually just do that." Quest shrugged.

Quest blushed. "Well, yes probably. Umm, how should I start then?" He paused and then continued, the words rushing out. "I use to be very good, by the way, they called me a prodigy. I just, that, um, was a long time ago." Miyako poked Hyron, and spoke with mock severity, "Viney, are you scared of caves?" Miyako walked forward, casually flipping open her waterskin.

"Yeah, and the concentration required to keep it all together would be absurd." Quest trailed off as he grew lost in thought. "Yeah, um, do you think I should test it outside or in here?" Miyako grunted. Seems fair enough. Though by no stretch of the imagination did Miyako trust this man. As they ran she kept a close hand to her sword and waterskin.

Easy, then you go cry. I also do not understand celebrity crushes, though I also agree that Zendaya is hot.
