  1. Quest nodded before realizing Kealie couldn't see him. "Um, yeah, just get outside. We'll run around back and get to you as fast as we can." Miyako bit off a curse as the sword was ripped from her grip. She whipped out a short knife, warily circling the Princess. The rope passed through the blob of water with no effect. It continued unhindered as it flew towards the Princess. Miyako responded, "So? If it's wrong it's wrong. And I don't think she's ruling to well."
  2. Miyako let the sword pull her forward, using the force to jump over the rope. As soon as she landed Miyako began dashing towards the Princess, letting the rope around her sword go slack. As Miyako sprinted towards the Princess, her blob of water also advanced. It drifted towards the Princess, trying to seep past her clothes. "So you agree with the Queen? What's she doing?" Miyako called out. Quest grinned at Vance. "She's positive." He turned back to the door and called out to Kealie, "Do you still have your blindfold on?"
  3. Miyako mouth quirked into grin as she backpedaled, slapping the ropes away. Her stream of water turned formless. Easily slipping past threads and ropes, it advanced on the Princess. "What you doing with this Queen anyway?" Miyako casually asked.
  4. I wish you the happiest of birthdays!

I give you the most grateful of thanks.

  5. Miyako groaned. She waved the broken thread at the princess. "That's cheating!" Miyako accused. She began to walk towards the Princess, chopping through any threads with her sword and stream. Quest shakily stood up, leaning on the door. "Kealie! We're going to come get you, your going to be ok. But try to find, or, um, make a way out of there. Could Eej break through a wall?"
  6. Quest glanced up, relief plain on his face. "Vance! Kealie is, um, locked in that room." Quest scrambled to his feet, pointing at the door he had been sitting at. Miyako tried to dodge the threads that wrapped around her arm but more kept coming. Miyako's sword flashed as she cut through the golden threads. Miyako let a thread sneak through her defenses, watching as it wrapped around her arm. With a grin, Miyako yanked on the thread, pulling the Princess towards her.
  7. Miyako screamed as lightning coursed through her body. She collapsed to the ground, dropping her sword. The sharp pain subsided, leaving Miyako sprawled out on the floor, hair hanging over her face. She struggled to crawl to her feet, taking in deep breaths. Her thoughts were sluggish, scattered by the lightning. As Miyako pulled herself up, she laid a hand on her sword. Pulling it closer, Miyako gripped it until her knuckles were white. A sword, something Miyako understood. She didn't need to think to know what to do next. Miyako lunged forward, wildly swiping towards the Queen with her sword.
  8. Sorry that I've been gone for a few days. I've just been dealing with a lot of emotional baggage over a lot of crap and Christmas break gave me a good excuse to do nothing. Fortunately, it climaxed last night and I was able to cry to my Mom about everything. I'm feeling a lot better right now.

    Good old emotions.

  9. Quest glanced around at the hallway and when he turned back, the door was closed, with Kealie inside. Panicked, Quest slammed against the door but to no avail. The doorknob was stuck. "Kealie! Kealie you in there?" Quest screamed. He thought he heard Kealie calling his name back, but it was hard to tell. "Oh. Oh, ok. Thanks creepy house." Quest slumped against the door, looking out into the dark hallways. The hallways seemed to stretch before him, sinister red fire illuminating doors upon doors of secrets. The shadows seemed to dance at the edge of his visions, holding hidden horrors. Quest could swear he saw something darting back when his head turned. No, no. Focus. What can you do Quest? You could...burn the door down? No, that probably is a bad idea. Umm...hmm. Quest sat, back against the doorframe, knees clutched to his chest. "Um, Kealie? Are you ok in there?"
  10. Miyako frowned, stabbing harder probably wouldn't help her get through the guards. And she should stop the Queen before she does magic. If you can't go through, might as well go over. Miyako took a deep breath in, remembering the days she had spent trying to master this move on the lake. Just like skipping stones. Miyako breathed out and burst into action. She pulled on her stream, propelling it a few feet in front of the guard. Miyako dashed forward, before leaping towards the line of guards. She landed on the stream with one foot, mentally commanding it to shove her forward. The stream's force and her forward momentum lifted her above the guards, skating inches away from their heads. Miyako landed in a somersault, rolling to her feet.
  11. Miyako pulled back and groaned in Hyron's general direction. "Can we just fight already? I'm not gonna be a slave anytime soon and this crazy lady doesn't seem open to bargaining."
  12. Oh, sorry. Miyako handed you a large object, that's value was roughly of onyx. The object itself is not money.
  13. Yeah, you know what my characters are doing. Two things to add: Are we saying that all the timelines started at the same time, or will we just try to get everyone to the festival and then set that meeting point as a base time for the timelines? I phrased that poorly but I think you get the gist. Also I don't think we ever got Miyako on the OP. I dredged it up if you want to add that:
  14. Of course the air was filling with power. Why couldn't a simple assassination work out? "Tides, I'm over this." Miyako grunted. She slashed forward, dropping all pretenses of subtlety.
  15. Miyako let go of the stream as soon as the Queen tried to control it. Miyako slipped back into the mists, and hoping the Queen couldn't sense her, came around to a different side of the solider formation. Miyako tried to quietly take him out with her sword. As Kealie stepped into the room, the doors slammed shut.
  16. Quest stared at the shelf of dolls. He could swear a few were looking at him. Quest felt a shiver run up his spine. "Hey, um, Kealie? Would you want to enter first?" Miyako nodded to herself. She expected as much anyway. Unless the Queen was open to some haggling, her options were pretty narrow. Might as well attack while it was still a bit of a surprise. Miyako stayed back, standing still in the mist as she commanded her stream to fly in-between a soldier's visor, hopefully taking him out silently. @CalanoCorvus
  17. Yeah, I'm pretty sure Lift refers to Nightblood as "she" in stormlight. But the WOB that alder has is basically what I was going to say.
  18. "I'm assuming surrender would mean giving up our autonomy?" Miyako said drily.
  19. "Tides." Miyako muttered under her breath. She began to edge around the group, looking for an opening. Miyako continued out loud, "And here I was, thinking I heard you say agreement. That sounds like a demand."
  20. "Nah. I think I'm good." Miyako began quietly walking towards the voice.
