  1. Again, I'm Spanish, every word is either masculine or femenine. I always (unvoluntarily) asign each object a gender.
  2. Daddynar. You're right Kaladin is my fav. Something about him resonates deeply with me. Eshonai is a close second (third after Kaladin). Szeth could still rise a lot, depending on SA5: I like his arc, but I want to see more character and backstory I don't like Venli and I kind of hate Shallan. The rest are alright, I enjoyed Navani's science bit in RoW a lot and I think I'd like Adolin a lot more if I didn't hate Shallan.
  3. Hi, I've just finished Warbreaker, and reading Stormlight I always thought of Nightblood as distinctly feminine. This is probably because I'm a native Spanish speaker, and I tend to asociate genders to nouns even when I'm reading English. Sword, night and blood are all feminine in Spanish. Also Nimi (as in Sword Nimi) also feels feminine. I am the only one this happened to?
  4. I actually enjoyed it a lot and I came in with no expectations. It is true that it starts a little slow, but I am a fast reader so it usually doesn't bother me. I didn't hate Vivenna, she is stupid and entitled, but that doesn't make me hate her POV (which is weird since I dislike Shallan's POV just because I don't like her). The plot was really nicely done, most twists caught me unaware like the priests actually being devout. Lightsongs POV was great from the beginning and his story was heartwarming. Also I felt satisfied when I guessed he was going to heal Susebron. Susebron was also great for me a sheltered 7 year old in the body of an adult learning about the world is a compelling concept to me. Siri was alright. And I didn't dislike the sex, it was all pretty implicit and plot relevant. It didn't feel like most sex-scenes in books like A Song of Ice and Fire, where it usually feels like obsecenity for obscenities sake. It doesn't feel that much different from Sarene looking forward to her wedding night.
  5. I like all of your theory, but I disagree with the first paragraph. Odium isn't about the letter of the law, more of the spirit of the law. If he loses, he has to move out of Herdaz and Alethkar, if he was already out, then so be it. Technicalities are more something that would bound Honor. But the part about Adolin becoming the Champion I really liked, willing doesn't mean you have to like it. I don't believe it's probable, but it is definitely possible.
  6. I completely agree. I think editing is becoming a problem in the last books published by Brandon because RoW also had some overexplaining issues.
  7. Firstly: I don't believe it was a lie, I think Taravangian used the fact that Ishar stole his own Shardblade to convince Szeth that Kaladin has a Shardblade. But secondly, it doesn't matter what Taravangian says. Szeth must know there are 7 blades remaining (I believe he is the one who actually says the number 7).
  8. I think the Chanarach theory is pretty much proven, but this still raises an important question: What happened to her Honorblade? In WoR Taravangian tells Seth one of the 7 Blades has disappeared. Seth has 1. Nale has his. Taln has his. 3+7=10, all blades are accounted for, so, where is Chana's? Did it remain because she unbounded it? BTW, first post, greetings to you all.
