  1. Is magical sympathy permitted on the property asks Jeffery apperently having submitted to his fate of never knowing hoids backstory
  2. Yes. It is a different kind of book but it plays with some interesting concepts.
  3. Im reading Malazan, Just finished wise mans fear. some recomendations for any who want one Brandon mull( mostly for younger readers but fablehaven is pretty good) Septimus heap the book of boy moonfleet (this is different from the others but still really good) the mcgunnegal chronicles (if you want to support a small author who is still really good) The girl who circumnavigated faryland in a ship of her own making M.R James ghost stories Cornelia Funke books sea of trolls Seraphina Discworld
  4. I mean in the first few books i find the female characters great. But later on it feels like they are powerful just to get cut down to their size. All the compotent female characters seem to fall in love and then stop being nearly as compotent(morgase, egwene, nynaeve(the spanking scene tho), and half of the aes sedai(the whole seanchan enslavement, all of the ashaman enslavment stuff with aes sedai is just fine i guess?) there are decent characters but none seem to be able to go any ammount without a man I really was so creeped out by some of the mat/tylin rand/alanna lack of consent being fine I also felt like the resolution to the weird love triangle was kinda clear as rand says that the only one he feels really comftorable arround is faile About communication I was just saying that especially with relations between characters they never talk it out. And once they can always find eachother there is no excuse Rand is a really bad person. He whines all the time, creates warcrimes++ ect. it feels like jordan realized he had made rand so OP that the only way he could return stakes was making him stupid Also the worldbuilding isnt that good. It hardly rivals anything like Malazan, Any of Brandons works, Middle earth, Dune(i dont like dune that much but it does have some good worldbuilding) Name of the wind, heck the mountains form a square. also I get the whole future earth and stuff but it kinda makes other world building aspects weird Thank you to everyone for responding so far. I legitimatley am curious why people like it so much. I found the point about when it was written to really explain some things
  5. The desheveled man pounced on top of the wandering wizard.... YOU HAVE IT DONT YOU.. YOU HAVE HOIDS BACKSTORY he tried to strangle him.
  6. Ive been in here for years and unable to find hoids backstory says a disheveled man peekeing out from behind a shelf
  7. so I needed to host a burial for my friends pet this week but i cant find it one day brandon sanderson will write his last book
  8. The specks were destroyed by a rouge cantelope however. and the spcks were now under fluffleforfs command
  9. I have so far read the whole series. I found the brandon parts to be the best by far here are my issues 1. The female characters are really flat. They spend every other sentence talking about necklines and are treated disgustingly by men 2. Somehow Rand, who does nothing but complain gets not one but 3 girlfriends? while i am not nessicarily against polygamy in books, it comes of as jordan projecting his fantasies onto rand 3. Mat and tylin where they are all just act like what is going on is fine 4. The whole series is communication problems. that is fine at first but once they can teleport there is no excuse. The only really likeable characters are perrin and loial and once loial is not as important the series kinda falls apart
  10. A larger brain doesnt nessisarly mean they would be more intelligent. I suppose it depends on how you define intellegent. They might be able to process information better but they wouldnt have more knowledge
  11. When you peer pressure your mom into listening to stormlight archive audiobooks and crack up whenever people talk about metals, words that happen to be shard names, or breath.. Also when you read plato's works and realize that this is basically realmatics
  12. Technicaly pancakeism came before danishism, doest make it right. Question, can we excommunicate twizzlers;
  13. Bold of you to assume there actually will ever be a sequel
  14. Actually I am pretty sure you dont exist. Stop lying
  15. Lets start it!

  17. cannibalism how many children have you eaten?
  18. It did however incluble fluffleflorf, who had abandoned his job as cake lord and became a llama lord. He rode at the head of an army of 20000 llamas
  19. He is one of my fovorite charcters. There is something about a character in a book creating something that I find really satisfying
