  1. Well, this certainly changes things. How do the Silmarils enter the game if Feanor dies?
  2. Ooh, I'm really intrigued! I know the first two songs, but I'll have to listen to the last one. This seems interesting! I'll definitely take this prompt, and I'll try to get back to you within a week if I'm not too busy. Thank you! Don't worry, Pencil Taxi, I haven't forgotten about your prompt. I'm going to keep trying...though it might take a little while for me to get the tone/scene/storyline figured out. I'll keep you posted!
  3. "Raindrops" is one of my favorites (I've been saying that a lot, but the prompts you give me have helped me make some of my best work). If you listen to this recording, you can hear the pattering of raindrops in the scene, see the foggy windows, smell the scent of storms. I leaned into the idea of a lonely rainy day, so it's melancholy and reflective, but I think there's some hope in there as well. Thanks for the prompt, Symph! I've tried recording this one several times over the past week, but I've really struggled. I want it to be perfect, to convey all of the heavy emotion that Sanderson wrote, but I'm not getting the results I want. I'm going to keep trying, but this one is tricky. Even so, thanks for the prompt, Pencil Taxi! Sorry about the delay, I've had a busy week, but I should be more free going forward, so feel free to give me more prompts!
  4. Granted. You can't control your body anymore I wish for perfect vision.
  5. Nonexistent, at this point. Do you think people should be less judgmental?
  6. "I'm going to play video games in my room. Sorry, it's single player. You can wait downstairs until I'm done." When you're playing with your little brother.
  7. This whole day I've been sneezing and I have no idea why! Interesting pizza delivery method.
  8. Wear a tuxedo. When on the Shard.
  9. You're right, I kind of tunnel visioned there. There are a number of viable Melkor strategies, so I agree, we should try to stay open minded. I'm parking my vote on JNV for now.
  10. I agree, I think it makes sense for Melkor to wait until general reads solidify before they pick their teammate. They don't gain much by corrupting someone early on (besides e/e thread interaction) unless they're lucky with their pick and get Feanor, a Smith, or another important role. I think spending early game crafting seems useful- smithing the two trinkets stands out to me because crafting them in the day gives them item turns for the next two cycles in addition to their role actions. They could continue crafting as long as they want until they decide on a teammate. As for dubious early game reads, sign me up! I think TUN's post seems like it's looking for some form of attention. As Mat said, it could be read as either alignment. Devo doesn't seem particularly suspicious to me- I read them more mischievous than suspect. Dannex- has no comments at all? Hmm JNV's post seems earnest and genuinely questioning, though it seems just a little forced to me. This also could just be my lack of playing with them as Archer pointed out that's how they usually play it. I'll vote later in the cycle after more people join in.

  12. The new Rings of Power show is absolutely breathtaking. I just watched the first two episodes and...wow! It's so gorgeous! Pretty much every shot is good enough to be hanging up in somebody's bedroom- actually would pay to have one of these framed in my bedroom. Just look at them!

You think this is like just the one "trailer" shot in the scene, but almost every clip is as good as these. I actually had to pause the show a couple times to revel in the spectacularity of the whole thing.

In terms of the show, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not perfect, but I'm intrigued, and very excited to see where it goes from here!

  13. What I think of when you post your "Thing 1, Thing 2..." SUs: You know it's a good morning when...
  14. I'd be happy to make some for you! Give me until tomorrow- once again, I have some work to get done first.
  15. Whenever I pop in your Question Conversation thread:
  16. Caelus opened his eyes. "W-where am I?" he asked.
  17. I'd love to make more if you'd like, Bookworm! I'll be more free tomorrow- I can do a couple then.

  19. Today was my first day of school! Some highlights:

    • One of my teachers tried to intimidate everyone to drop his class (37 people signed up...I had to sit on the floor cause there weren't enough seats). The class was AP Psych, if you were curious :)
    • I had an in-class essay in my Lit class about the books we read over the summer :(
    • My government teacher is SCARY and has some intense political views that I don't necessarily agree with, so that's fun. <_<
    • We got a new cellist in orchestra! She's pretty good. It's going to be a good year :D
    • I'm taking two classes independently/online with a friend, and it's so hard to focus when you have your buddy right next to you! :P
    • My Spanish is so rusty... here's to hoping it gets better this year

Not sure if the emojis are staying or not. They're kinda annoying, but also fun. Hmmmmm

Homeschool is a lot more laid back. Once I had been in school, I was shocked by the difference between summer and the school year. It wasn't nearly as drastic when I was homeschooled.
