  1. Well, I just love school!

I had a pop-test on my third day of school in my literature class. It was six different three paragraph essays on symbolism, author's intent, foreshadowing ect. based on our summer work. So that was rough.

I think it's going to be a difficult interesting year!

School is tough, what can you do *shrug*

  2. You should! Highly entertaining.
  3. Hoid devoured 798 tasty souls for Thursday lunch. However, Hoid, who had formerly formulated a terrifying plan to eventually become Ruin, decided to devour Nightblood with v2.0 of pineapples; this made Hoid a supremely painful deity.
  4. Granted. Everyone you meet smiles when they see you, but loses that when you leave. I wish for a really cool hat.
  5. PSA Everyone read that book. It has GORGEOUS prose.

  15. I've been busy today with school and the like, so I've only skimmed the thread, but I'd like to address this point. My last game, the first cycle I didn't vote, so I wanted to vote this game- I voted on JNV because something about their first post felt off, and at that point I didn't have much to go off of besides gut reads. I decided to keep my vote there until they posted again, but they weren't online for the majority of the cycle, and I didn't want to vote on someone who hadn't had a chance to defend themself (probably a rookie move, but whatever). When Devo posted on Archer I saw that their reasoning for their vote was better than mine and I immediately jumped on it (though that was totally hindsight confirmation bias in rereading the thread). After Archer roleclaimed, I once again wanted to move my vote because they had a provable claim, and I moved it back to JNV for convenience. Anyway, it was then that JNV posted and their second post felt a lot better to me than the first and since I was only going off gut, I decided to move once more to Kas. Probably should've thought more about moving so much, but it was the end of the cycle and I didn't want to be wrong about where I voted or be a tiebreaker(especially when JNV started getting a lot of votes), so I moved to someone who I felt "eh" about and who didn't have any votes. Hope that kind of explains my haphazard voting patterns- I'll be more organized next time. I am also a noble.
  16. I do have my reasons, and I can do an explanation next cycle. I just wanted to get my votes in before time
  17. I did find their first post a little weird, but I was mostly waiting for them to post again. I do like this post. Seems less suspicious to me. JNV to Kasimir
  18. Well...guess I've erred then. I apologize. You could still be lying, but a dubious claim this early seems too risky for Melkor Archer, back to JNV
  19. Good point, with reasoning good enough for me after a couple rereads. I'll move my vote from JNV to Archer.
  20. I like the symmetry and how the colors pop! Of course the nice tribute to DoomslugLuna is always pleasant too. 9/10 + 3 for hopeless romantic = 12/10
  21. That was probably far and away the best way to answer this question. It was a paradox- as I'm sure you saw. No, but nor I have any wish to do so. TPBM excels in school.
  22. Unfortunately no. What's your greatest strength in no more than three words?
  23. I decided to listen to those recordings this afternoon, and I was so inspired that I decided to record "A Song of Solace" This is far and away the longest one I've recorded so far at almost seven minutes (I think the longest until now was just over five). This was also the first time that I've been really asked to pull ideas/tone from existing pieces of music, but I had a lot of fun! I took the chord progressions from On the Nature of Daylight, used the first basic melody from Day One as my main motif, and used little emblems/chords from Where We Used to Be to give it some more senses of hope towards the end. This is really melancholy, and I was near tears as I was recording this. It's a true work of minimalism, with repetition of themes and chordal patterns, but I think it shows some emotional growth over the piece. Thank you for the prompt, Bookwyrm!
