  6. Yeah, probably. But not a big enough reward in my eyes. What's the point of doing something that gets me a lot of attention and potentially kills my teammate? I was actually just trying to make sure I understood your point there I find it genuinely fascinating. Maybe that's how I view the game now. Imo saying "the village" and discussing them as a separate entity isn't really suspicious, but I haven't really absorbed what the general meta is there. It's just how I've been wording things, I don't really see it as a "find" or a "slip" on my part, that's just the terminology I've been using. Actually yes, you're right, that was a fallacious inference. I meant to say that it's a possibility that's maybe more probable, if we assume that the Elims have thread control as Shqueeves obviously took the most votes. But yeah, doesn't really make sense Honestly, I wasn't thinking that far ahead. I think I must've stated things wrong if you think that I wanted to lynch you. I went from my (fallacious) reasoning about how it makes sense that there is an elim on the Shqueeves train to who I found most suspicious on that train. In general, though, I'm not really willing to lynch you at this point. Part of the reason I wanted to check was because I wrote that post without rereading. This whole game, I've basically been skimming most of the posts, so I appreciate the correction, thank you. Well, when you put it that way, I sound stupid. Maybe I am. Anyway, I feel like you've done a lot of good analysis, and so I've trusted you and I guess I assumed others did because I didn't have any strong memories of accusations against you. But then you (I think it was you) made a reference to a Devo game when she had thread control and that made me think about my first game when Devo did good analysis for the village but ended up being the killer. I guess I did just want to cover my bases against that happening, but I didn't have any good "ammo" at the moment so I planned to go back and reread. Okay, consider me wholeheartedly rebutted That picture comes from me being in my own head and writing posts without first looking for evidence. This is why I said this earlier: Sometimes I'm nervous about posting my thoughts because I feel like anything I say will be taken under a microscope (good for the village though) and things that make sense in my head seem obviously wrong when written out on paper in thread. This is funny to me. My tone never does what it's supposed to do
  7. Yeah. (Potential) big risk, big reward again I guess. I'll look through his posts later.
  8. As an Elim, I realized how much each turn (and as such each kill) mattered. Personally I'm not one to give up an extra kill if it doesn't seem to come with a sizable reward. This scenario is heavy risk but light reward. I might be one to go for risky plays, but only if there's a sizable reward in sight. At this point, at least. My meta is constantly evolving (actually constantly being formed because I'm still figuring things out). Imo this play doesn't make sense (of course E!Me'd say that, but whatever). Are you saying that E!Me would be more conservative after last game and wouldn't take a risk like this after last game? My worry this game is that an Elim is vil-read by most people. If they have thread influence, they can exe villagers during the day and kill at night. Thread control is important this game, I think. I know I'm stating the obvious, but probably this means that there's at least one elim on the Shqueeves train. Out of Mat, Wiz, and Kas, I'm probably most suspicious of Kas, if anything just because I feel like nobody has been suspicious of him. E!Kas is worst for the village imo just because of their thread influence. The others idk. I feel like in terms of inactive people, there has to be at least one that is an elim. Not Symph, if only because of inactivity. Possbily TUN? The cheeky vote last cycle feels really noncommittal, but if you're someone who doesn't have too much time, it makes sense. I need to think more. My thoughts are a mess.
  9. ^^ Will have to think more about this- you raise an interesting point.

  11. I thought that "The Attack" was epic! Super cool! I really tried to play into the large attacking force and the themes of heroics and loyalty and loss and death and all the craziness that happens in battle. Really really fun to play. Thanks for the prompt! "Why" kind of broke my heart. The juxtaposition between this one and Wizard's is kind of crazy, but it really adds meaning. This was a teary one for me. I began with the repetitive notes of loss, how empty reality feels, and then it gradually grows into anger. The anger tears its way through the soul, though, and soon there is only emptiness. But after a long time contemplating and remembering memories, everything takes on a different light. I interpret it as ending with the narrator sobbing in sadness and acceptance. Sorry for the delay! School has crept up on me and all the stuff that some along with it. If I don't respond within a couple weeks feel free to bug me about it in the future.
  12. Okay, time to do some actual thinking this game . I guess I'll just start by looking at each player's posts and giving general thoughts. Usually that helps me make sense of a game. In previous games though, I forced myself into putting people into elim lean categories even if I saw them as neutral cause I didn't have too many suspicions, so this time if that happens to me I'll just make more tiers of vil lean haha and see where my thoughts take me. Mat - Wow. He's posted a lot this game (Yes I opened each individual post from this game in a different tab :P.) Feels solid, doesn't really seems to be pushing anything. He's done a good job, has great to the village. His vote at the end of D1 doesn't feel like E!Mat to me (after elimming with him last game), though I could see it maybeee being an elim strategy. Probably not though :P. Vil lean TUN - Five posts. First post seemed a little sketchy at first, but honestly doesn't give me bad vibes overall. Seems a little disconnected (didn't realize he had been voted on) and I feel like that's villagery to me. Slight vil lean Wizard - Feels really similar to previous games. Not too much to be said here, could go either way. Neutral Stick - First off, in regard to their post: To be fair, it is kind of straight out of an elim mindset as that was my role last game I don't really see a problem with calling it the village, to be honest. In my head I just think of it as the general majority of players. Though I might be a bit of an over-rationalizer for my actions, now that you mention it. If that sets off alarms for you, it's no issue of mine, but I'd like to point out that you did make the hyper-aware point about Araris earlier and they flipped green. In general, I find myself liking your posts even if they are mostly directed at me. In fact, the point about Araris shows consistency throughout the game and so I'm slight vil reading you now. Shqueeves - He exists? Lol I haven't really paid attention to any of his posts, didn't even register that he was playing. This post doesn't sit right with me though: Gives two reasons for voting Conq, but then appears to waver. Yes I know this might be hindsight confbias as I just saw Mat's post but it is my genuine thought on the post. Slight Elim lean. Conq - Read through all posts, seems genuine (yes another ). I like how throughout this game he's caught onto a lot of the things the village has pointed out. Seems truly interested in how the game is progressing and as if he really wants to catch the elims. Vil Lean Symph - Inactive? Neutral Kas - Wow. Once more. Lots of contributions. Right now my head is saying "Kas is the good guy" cause of the conf vil role last game but I'm trying to get it to shut up. I'm not really sure what to think right now- he has a lot of good points and has been helpful to village and eager to consider all sides of issues, but I don't have time right now to read through everything, so I'll procrastinate and put him in neutral for now. Turtle - AHHH I said I wasn't going to put everybody in neutral but what the heck there have to be like at least another two elims, right? Ummmmm slight slight slight vil lean JNV - I feel like out of principle I need to have more elim reads. And they are slight elim to me, so yeah. Not going to vote here, but just throwing that out there Illwei - Seems like a mastermind. I'm kinda running out of free time here, so I didn't get a chance to really analyze her posts, but the fact that she seems so confident that she should be basically conf village is a point to her, I say. E!Illwei would not be that dramatic (?) Vil lean Also you're so confident about Stick that you posted it twice. You gotta admire it xD So that puts us at V lean - Illwei, Mat, Conq Slight V - TUN, Stick, Slight slight V - Turtle Neutral - Wiz, Symph, Kas Slight E lean - JNV E lean - Shqueeves Wow. Didn't expect it'd be this bad. I guess I'm voting Shqueeves
  13. A couple thoughts: My V!Me game was actually my first game ever My last game was my first game being an elim So this is my first game seeing both sides as a player And I also don't have as much free time as I did my first game Basically I'm still figuring out my playstyle and what I like as a player. This game is interesting cause I have literally almost no reads on anybody- but I'm still having a good time. Before EoD I'll go through and make a reads list. The beginning of the game is hard cause there's so many people- and it's even worse this game because there's supposedly more elims Why thank you!

  16. So is it Danex or Dannex? Which one's like your actual nickname?

    Spoiler

    Or is it Dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnex :ph34r::ph34r:

  17. It would mean that I've successfully skimmed the thread Kinda wanted to say something but didn't have much to say :P. How do we know this?
  18. Yeah. I don't know. When I first saw that Xino had flipped red, I just assumed that it was good that I kept my vote on him as I was considering changing it the turn before. And then I checked the thread later and it was a bad thing apparently? I just figured that E!Me would have changed my vote just to give my teammate a chance, so it might have been seen as suspicious. But I guess having my vote on the Xino train at any point in time makes me a candidate and I understand that. Is that a JNV train I see starting?
  19. This morning my car broke down on my way to seminary at six in the morning. My dashboard legit started flickering and then my engine started roaring at like only 10 mph (16.1 km/hr for metric system ppl) and I pulled over to restart my car... and it didn't start. So I waited for almost two hours for the roadside people to come and was about an hour late to school.

    Wonderful day so far.

      I hope you have a better day though! So sorry about that, I thought my car was dying because my dashboard starting silently screaming at me.

      Thanks Calano! My music and the lights in my car literally just went to black. So it was really freaky. And I was on a busy road so it was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully my engine had the right amount of juice to take me to a side road :blink::D

  20. Hello! Great to have you here!
  21. Welcome, Cash! Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  22. I suppose you're right. The point is I was not confident in my ability to choose the right voting candidate, and so I kept my vote. Should I have taken my vote off Xino? Possibly. But since I had limited time I decided to just keep it where it was because my reasoning for a vote change would've probably been weak and torn apart by the village because my suspicions aren't too strong right now. And if I just took my vote off and didn't put it on someone than if E!Xino I'm dead cause I'm suspected of helping a teammate.
