I've read most if the Brandon's books twice, and I still don't consider myself a hardcore fan -- haven't come up with a hundred-page long theory yet, haha.

Hmm, predictions... let's see.

It is! I am excited to see where Brandon took the books. I would say the slog was books 8 to 10, but that's arbitrary. Robert Jordan didn't exactly wrote Dan Brown-style thrillers, haha.

Will of the Many is fantastic! I think you'll not regret reading it.

I'm a hundred pages away from being done with the eleventh! and I finished the Red Rising and started the Golden Son too. I feel the writing is much better in the second book and I enjoy it much more now.

I think I write a little like Robert Jordan. Not the pacing, but the sentence structure. It's what happens when you read 14-book series. The Cosmere is longer, so... I structure stories like Brandon. There's certainly always a Sanderlanche in the end.

Narrow Road is an expansion of the Lightning tree. It's exactly the same story, but a little padded up and better edited. I love the series, BTW! One of my favourites. I read both Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. It's... OK, I guess. One of those series that are everywhere on BookTook for a while and then dissappear. Reading Red Rising by Pierce Brown at the moment. Not sure if I love it yet, but I might. Anyone read the entire series?

Hey, guys, I just want to share something I've recently found. There is a website called Reedsy that holds weekly short-story competitions (1-3k words), where they release a prompt and let people from all over the world take a stab at it. You can submit your story for free if you just want it to be posted on the website or pay $5 to enter the contest. I found it to be super helpful for inspiration, because for each new prompt there are 300+ short stories to read each week. Also, it's a safe way to experiment with a topic, take a break from a larger project when you are stuck and just write something different and new. I've reread the series before the Narrow Roads came out and now I find myself obsessively googling news about Doors of Stone every week Fortunately, I recently finished The Will of the Many by James Islington, and it has a very similar vibe to the Kingkiller. I highly recommend it. It deserves more acclaim
