  1. Do you think it should be necroed, Thaid?
  2. It was you who mentioned having read The Poppy War, right?

      Ahhh…

      How do you like it?

  3. Aaaaa I missed so much lore and backstory...I have no idea who any of the people you're talking about are. But I have more questions! I'm thinking of playing an Aether Spore expert, like (Tress spoilers): So yeah. This leads into my first question: What is the arena going to be? Will there be easy access to Aether spores, of at least the four or so varieties we see in TotES? Second question: I know next to nothing about this world you've created...Even after the reformation you mentioned, would it make sense for there to be communities and towns that are poor and isolated on the outskirts? I was thinking of my character coming from a difficult situation, and joining because of the chance it would let him get money and a better life for his family.
  4. I want to know what people (namely hardcore fans) think about the end of Surprise! Because I know you have thoughts. I mean, I do. So the rest of you do to.
  5. A few questions: How much understanding of the history of this Hunger Games Universe you've built do I need to have to play? How lore/world accurate will this game be? Is there a character sheet? When will sign ups end and the official game start? How inactive do I have to be before my character dies (in case I get busy)? Anything else I need to know? I guess that's more than a few but still. I am interested in participating in one of these, because I haven't yet, and they sound fun. EDIT: Oh, and 7. Will there be more games after this, and if so, what will you base them on? Will you re-use arenas? Will you combine them? Make up your own? EDIT 2: ....A Canticle Hunger Games would be really cool...Or a Lumar one. Or a Nightmares one. Really any of the secret projects.
  6. "Remember when people thought Narrators and Authors were the same thing?" Somepeople said.
  7. Bookwyrm watched as Thaidakar snaked into the green sky, vanishing into an unknown distance. Try though he might, his power over gravity didn't seem to work as strongly here. Well, sparks. Looks like all that was for nothing, then. He dismissed his sword and looked around. Pic, Lundyn, Elan, and Aventine drifted in the void. He opened his mouth to call to them, but then the hovercraft appeared. He let himself slowly drift towards the yellow craft. @Cash67 @Spark of Hope @shortcake @Ancient Elantrian
  8. Bookwyrm felt the lurch in his stomach, the pull of that strange void. He started to fall. Determination overcame him. He angled himself in the air, flew towards the door. I'm sorry, Insa, he sent telepathically. I have to leave. But I promise, I'll come back soon. Stay safe. Don't forget how important you are. Then he crossed into the void. I'm coming, Thaidakar. @InfiniteInsanity
  9. Bookwyrm landed behind Thaidakar as he knelt in front of the door. He'd never seen it before, but there was something familiar about it's design. He stood there for a moment, the sword at his side. He didn't dismiss it, but did relax his grip on it. "Thaid."
  10. @InfiniteInsanity @TheGreatSnail @shortcake @Kajsa @Thaidakar the Ghostblood @The Wandering Wizard @Medium Who else...let's just ping some active people. @Weaver of Lies @Silver Phantom @Wierdo @WhyEverNot_8 @Anguished_One Oh, and the nerd who hasn't accepted her identity yet: @Edema Rue And also @Experience @Wittles @Cash67 We'll call that good for now.
  11. Bookwyrm quickly slowed down to avoid crashing. Then he slashed at the wall, many times in quick succession, before sending a burst of energy through it, causing it to collapse. I need a plan, he thought. There's nothing I can say that will get him to listen to me. But I have no idea where he's going, or what he's going to do.
  12. Bookwyrm allowed the future to flash in front of his eyes. He saw the paths of each spike and darted through them, slashing any that got too close. "You're right," he called as he flew after Thaidakar. "I..." he trailed off. What is anything I can say going to do? He kept flying after Thaidakar, but stayed silent. I can't help him, can I?
  13. Bookwyrm gritted his teeth and maneuvered his sword between him and Thaidakar, using it to pry himself out of his grasp. He barely payed attention to the scenery that had arisen around them. "You're hiding from something, Thaid. That much is obvious." Bookwyrm took a step towards Thaidakar. "Let us help you."
  14. Bookwyrm quickly jumped to his feet. He started to glow with blue and white light. He dashed out of the room and ran after Thaidakar. He switched the direction forward to down, and started to fall. Bookwyrm soared down the hallway after his friend. As he fell, a thin sword made of blue metal, with a small disk of glass embedded where the hilt met the blade. It glowed with a soft light. He sent another message towards Thaidakar's mind. What made you so disillusioned? You were once one of the most resolute men I knew. Please. I want to help.
  15. Few things are as sad as being a fan of a universe and franchise with a boat-ton of lore and also being the only person you know who's a fan of that franchise.

I am here after a long time of delving into the wonderful experience of the stormlight archives books one and two. You still owe me book three, by the way.

  16. Bookwyrm stepped back, uneasy. He began scanning the bar for another way out. "That's a tough question."
  17. Bookwyrm knelt silently in front of Thaidakar, fingers on his temples, his eyes closed and a look of pain on his face. Thaidakar's Mindspace Bookwyrm coughed and gagged, retreating into the folds of his own mind to escape the poison being shoved down his throat by his own arm. He gathered his strength and sent a burst of mental light into the bar, re-gaining control, and sending chairs and glasses and alcohol flying. He restored himself, and looked around for the source of Thaidakar's voice. "I am real," he said, softly, soothingly. He sent tendrils of warmth and light into Thaidakar's mind as he carefully crept to the entrance of the bar and tried to leave.
