  1. Bookwyrm gazed out at the city in wonder. It was an indescribable mix of tacky and beautiful, deliberate and unplanned. "I'm going to get lost in there," he said to the pilot. "Where...where are we supposed to go? ...Also, you never introduced yourself to us." He eyed the two silvery ships, and the guards inside, as they flew back towards the docks. I guess we'll get a feel for what government here is like soon enough.
  2. "Well...not always..." Bookwyrm sighed.
  3. It's apparently your birthday, and even though I barely know you, I'm going to wish you a happy one!

  4. "...It's just weird that they have to figure out...whatever they're figuring out...right here, in an alien universe, on a cramped hovercraft in the middle of nowhere."
  5. 104. Only ask people how many chickens it takes to kill an elephant. @InfiniteInsanity
  6. Huh, I passed the 2000 post mark without realizing it.

...You guys had better not expect me to start an RP or anything.

  7. 99. Cry a lot, then attack anyone who tries to help you. For that matter: 100. Attack anyone who tries to help you at all. For that matter: 101. Attack anyone you see. EDIT: Also, 102. Only speak in quotes of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  8. "Who said I can never comprehend it? I live in an infinite existence with always something new around the corner. Always another truth, another secret, another beauty, another wonder. What's the point of living if you aren't learning? Just because I can never hope to understand the whole doesn't mean I should stop understanding what's within my grasp." Bookwyrm gazed out on the greenish horizon, filled with alien stars and galaxies. "For example, this place. I've never been here before, and I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't try to learn about it." Bookwyrm turned to the pilot of the craft. "On that note, what's this place called?" He hesitated. "Also, what's your name?" @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  9. I still have access to this doc. 97. Have the plauge.
  10. Bookwyrm gave Quinn a flat stare. "No, thanks." Bookwyrm averted his gaze, but couldn't completely shove down a sense of curiosity. Not your business.
  11. Bookwyrm jumped and stared at the pile of people on the floor of the hovercraft. "Uh...you okay?" he asked, to no specific person in particular.
  12. "Confused why you didn't already know the answers. I just don't know what you mean by 'a place beyond the concept of dimensions.' Because none of that makes sense to me."
  13. Bookwyrm blinked. "A place beyond...the concept of..." he trailed off. "Nevermind." Bookwyrm noticed from the side of his vision but didn't say anything.
  14. "The Worldseers had their own coordinate system, but most universes had official names. What organization is running this interuniversal system? Is there some sort of interuniversal civilization I'm unaware of?" Bookwyrm's face fell. "Yeah. There was," he said somberly. "I don't want to think about it right now." Bookwyrm nodded. "That's the best way to keep track of them, I'd say. The Worldseers used the coordinates to get around, but strings of numbers didn't help anyone in differentiating any one dimension from the other." ...Which universe? Because I have no idea how old the one we're in right now is. And most universes are very old. And I'm not that old. ...I don't think I am, at least... Bookwyrm frowned. I guess it's not really important right now.
  15. "That's it's number by one counting system. One I haven't heard before."
  16. Bookwyrm blinked. "In the Clinic's time, it's only been a year...It's spelled that way because the god we fought, Kaos, was also spelled that way. A twisted and corrupted essence of the concept of unpredictability. "But...you are a Clinic patient, right? You haven't heard of Calano? How long have you been a patient for?" So...they're just...dragons? Interesting. "I...come from a universe far from anywhere near here. But our home base right now is the Insanity Clinic for the Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted. Don't ask what Brandofandonitis is, it opens a whole other can of worms." He glanced around. "At least I think most of us are from the clinic." Bookwyrm. And don't worry about it; I understand, if it was unintentional. If you spent a while where that was the norm...yeah.
  17. "I'm Bookwyrm," Bookwyrm said. "I was...well, not one of the Clinic's founders, but an important staff member, and close friend of Calano and Emma. I fought in the Kaotic War." And also got possessed trying to rescue my future girlfriend from possession, and it was a whole mess. Don't think about that. Bookwyrm reflexively threw up a mental barrier. Did you just...read my mind? he cautiously sent.
  18. "I haven't," Bookwyrm said. "Which is saying a lot, because I've been lots of places." Bookwyrm took mental note. "Thanks for the tips." He wondered how quickly the situation was going to force him to break one or two of the rules out of necessity. He glanced at his companions, somewhat uncomfortable. Am I going to have to babysit them? I can't very well leave them alone here...worlds above, I wish I hadn't spent so long away from the Clinic. He knew nothing about any of his companions, and was now trapped in an isolated and alien environment with them for who knew how long. @RoyalBeeMage @Ancient Elantrian @shortcake @Spark of Hope @Cash67 @Aeoryi(? You're with us too, right? Am I missing someone?) Bookwyrm turned back to the woman piloting the craft, stepped up beside her. He glanced over the controls of the craft briefly, then focused on her. "Have you heard anything about...something called a Soulless?" @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  19. On the topic of Full Feruchemists: Sazed is a full Feruchemist, and I wouldn't say he's overpowered at all. Feruchemy only get's OPed when you start doing compounding; otherwise, every power pulled from a metalmind has to first be stored. Feruchemy is a basic trade off. Any time spent super speedy is also time previously spent dangerously sluggish. Any time spent warm against the cold is time previously spent nearly freezing. If you limit access to what metalminds they can get, it should be perfectly fine. Feruchemy is by nature a non-OP Power. ...Just the musings of a Cosmere nerd. And I know I'm not one of the ones running this...but this is my two cents. I think a full Feruchemist is fine. A Mistborn would probably even be fine, because they'd have no metals to start, and would need to find them without powers first.
  20. "...That would help, yeah," Bookwyrm said, his blue cloak settling around his ankles. He looked around at his company somewhat uncomfortably. He hesitated. "This is going to sound weird...but could you tell us where we are?"
  21. "I can cast death revenge spells!" - @InfiniteInsanity
