  1. His apprentice went to gather popcorn from the trees of Tropeland, where the rivers run blue by starlight. Unfortunately, all of the popcorn was not yet popped, and his apprentice didn't know how to pop popcorn.
  2. Bookwyrm sighed. "Maybe we should just go with the plan Calano suggested? He seems to know what he's doing. And this arguing is getting us nowhere."
  3. Welcome to the Shard! Unfortunately, I am not a martial arts person. So I can't really talk to you about that. Fortunately, I am a Sanderfan, so I can't wait to hear all of your ideas and theories! (And reading Oathbringer in a day is very impressive.)
  4. I had a weird dream in which there was a Mistborn movie.

My mom was trying to do something on a TV, and a trailer for a new Mistborn movie popped up.

It was really weird. The world was completely inconsistent. It seemed to be post-Catacendre Scadrial, though of course my dream brain didn't realize this. The world had normal trees and grass, but with slightly weird colors, and for some reason my dream brain was telling me it was kind of like Roshar. The story was completely different, there was no Lord Ruler, no Skaa, no thieving crews. (There wasn't really any story, because this was a dream.) Basically the only thing that was the same was that there was Allomancy and Feruchemy, evidenced by two characters fighting, one of which was wearing metal bracers, and the other one with the ability to see the future, presumably with Electrum or Atium.

My dream brain theorized that this was part of Scadrial that had somehow avoided all of the ash and smoke. Then, later, and because my dreams are never consistent, I got a book version of the movie. In the book, one of the characters was Dalinar, and so I assumed this was a movie of a previous concept for Mistborn, one that was never canon. Also, Waxillium was Dalinar's son, or at least relative, in this part of the dream.

I also somehow learned that this was just Scadrial in the far future.

Somehow, it made sense in my dream, and I was very excited, and then I woke up and realized how inconsistent it was.

    Dreams are weird.

      That1Cellist

That's cool. I've only ever had one cosmere related dream, and I don't remember what it was, though I do think that Marsh was in it.

      Thaidakar the Ghostblood

lol. that sounds odd and fun at the same time.

      Neat. Subconcious worlds are funny.

  5. But because this was a vacuum and not a vacuum cleaner, it was almost immediately filled up with air. And so Samuel perished. The air pressure around Nin dropped slightly.
  6. Bookwyrm idly wondered what an eeeensiiiignnnnn was.
  7. Bookwyrm raised an eyebrow at Calano's strangely violent behavior.
  8. Butt Venture started another gigantic party akin to the one a hundred pages ago. But bigger. Everyone in the thread was invited.
  9. Fireworks danced in the sky and the fabric of the universe itself rejoiced.
  10. This meant that the Handerfles were massacred by the bradminks because no one would help them.
  11. They had done this so they had someone to bring them snacks.
  12. Why do people keep comparing me to a cow? Uh....... That'll do. I guess. Maybe.
  13. Bookwyrm came in to remark that the turn of the page Millennium was coming up, and that they should prepare proper celebrations.
  14. "We Mistborn need not make sense. It's beneath us." -Vin, the Hero of Ages. I like this one because it's funny and clever, and is a quote that I would like to use a lot more in real life. (Substituting the Mistborn part for something else.) "There's always another secret."-Everyone knows who, The Final Empire. There really is always another secret, and so for a science nerd and someone who constantly wants to learn more, it is a pretty good motto for life in general. And there are a ton of others (many of them from Wayne) that I can't remember off the top of my head, so I'm not going to put them here right now.
  15. Hoid: What does someone who once held shardic amounts of Investiture use to eat their dinner? Khriss: Go away, Hoid, I'm trying to think. Hoid: Sliverware.
  16. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is designed so that you can play it without playing either of the previous games, but I think you're still going to end up enjoying it more if you've played the previous games. I'm only a little ways into it, but there are already some easter eggs for you to spot. And because now all three games (not counting Xenoblade Chronicles X) are available for the Switch I would probably recommend starting with 1, then 2, then going to 3. But it doesn't really matter. I played 2 before I played 1, and still fully enjoyed both games. And I'm sure you'd have a lot of fun playing 3, and then going back and playing 1 and 2, and getting all of the easter eggs you missed the first time around.
  17. I recently re-read Hero of Ages, and I think that this was what was supposed to be implied.
  18. Another, nicer planet came into existence for all the people who wanted to just sit down and relax with a gigantic fantasy novel.
  19. Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I just got it yesterday but can already conclude that this game is awesome.
  20. Well, being somewhere in the middle of Chapter 3 now, (and off doing a side quest to level up because I'm stuck on an enemy) I can safely say that this game is fully living up to expectations. There are so many secrets....you can tell just how layered the plot is, and how much you're going to learn by the end. I'm slowly getting the hang of the battle and Class systems. It really is very intricate, and I can't wait to see what combinations are possible by the time I get to the end.
  21. Well, now I have. I spent over an hour (I think?) reading and am somewhere in chapter nine now.
  22. Franklin spiked another person's ceiling destruction capabilities. Then he discovered the fifth ceiling. This continued until Franklin was a ceiling destroying Inquisitor, with sixteen spikes and the capability to break ceilings all the way to the nineteenth ceiling.
  23. So he hemalurgically spiked a random person's ceiling breaking powers and impaled himself with the spike. Franklin finally had enough power to break the third ceiling.
  24. I'd have to think about this a little more....I know I have one, I just need to remember it. I have a few characters in mind. Hoid, because he's my favorite, and depending on how much he likes me, I think a conversation with him would be really fun. Sazed, (Either before or after Ascension) because he's really nice and polite, and I could probably learn a lot from him. Wayne, because he's hilarious. However, if I was eating with Wayne, I would want some other characters to be there, because I think that the dinner would be more fun that way. And I didn't think this at first, but it would also be fun to spend time with Kaladin, Shallan, and Adolin, because the dynamic and banter between the three of them is really likeable, and I think I would enjoy being a part of that. As for what would we eat......I'm not sure. Some Cosmere food that I would never be able to have in real life, probably. (I guess I could feed Hoid some instant noodles so he likes me more...)
