  1. This caused all of Nameless's soldiers to become very afraid of him, so they all deserted.
  2. When you start mixing Brandon Sanderson fake curses to make things like "Rusts and Dusts!" and "Scudding Storms!" and "Merciful Domi's Shattering Glass!" (Granted, I think it was @Shining Silhouette who I first saw say "Merciful Domi's Shattering Glass" on Inverse Ask Anyone Anything.)
  3. The C.C enforcers were then also ambushed by the Seagull Rebellion.
  4. Bookwyrm hacks through a few with his Shardblade.
  5. Suddenly, Flappy the Penguin was ambushed by the Seagull Rebellion.
  6. He decided that he wanted Nightblood after all and stole the sword back from Szeth.
  7. Came up with this all by myself. Hoid: So, I was on the planet where Elantris is...you know, with the Seons? Khriss: Yeah, it's called Sel. Hoid: And I saw a little colorful ocean creature swimming around with fins. Khriss:....You mean a fish? Hoid: Yeah, and it had some really cool rocks. And I asked it for one. And you know what? Khriss: ....What? Hoid: It didn't give me any of them! Khriss:.....Okay. Stop bothering me. Hoid: I guess it was just a little selfish. Khriss:........
  8. .....Yeah, but if he gets anywhere warm and cozy, he becomes the most stubborn thing in the universe. It's really annoying. *Eyes widen* *Large explosion occurs one building over*
  9. It was not yet fully operational. Also, the plans for the Death Star cannon had been stolen by the previous seagull's friend. The Seagull Rebellion had begun to rise.
  10. "It's a plotless story," Bookwyrm added, "But still a story." Suddenly the floor of the arena that this large battle was going to take place on turned into a volcano and erupted.
  11. Bookwyrm stood on the sidelines intending to make sure not too much violent stuff happened.
  12. Everyone was very surprised to find out that Tow Mater was among The Lopen's cousins.
  13. Sam complained that he'd rather have a broadsword.
  14. Wait, is snow the wet blue stuff, or the crunchy white stuff? I forgot. ....Fine. I'll let you off this time. But the next time you destroy a solar system....
  15. I finished my re-read of the original Mistborn trilogy today. I'm re-reading the series in preparation for The Lost Metal, which as you all know comes out in November. I'm reading Mistborn: Secret History next.

And Stormwinds, I forgot how epic the ending of Hero of Ages is.

(Cosmere spoilers ahead, but I'm assuming most, if not all, of you have read everything relevant at this point.)

I paid close attention to when we saw the POV of someone holding a Shard. I should probably go back and re-read Taravangian's scenes in Rhythm of War after he Ascends to Odium, and compare them to what happens to Vin when she holds Preservation, and Sazed when he holds what would come to be known as Harmony.

Well of Ascension and Hero of Ages had a different feel to me than The Final Empire. It seemed to me that the world was stable during the Lord Ruler's reign, but then after his death, Scadrial just went into an insane death spiral until the end of HoA. Almost like they were taking a leap of faith that started at the Lord Ruler's death, and didn't end safely until they see the world remade anew. That finale, that sense of victory, that's portrayed at the very end is incredible, and probably one of my favorite scenes in a Brandon Sanderson book.

I then did some mental gymnastics trying to figure out who or what the heck Trell is, even though Trell doesn't become relevant until later. Some research on the Coppermind helped confirm that Trell has to be related to either Autonomy or Odium, which I kind of already knew. It's probably Autonomy, but I'll rant about it later.

So anyway. The ending of the original Mistborn trilogy was incredible, and I can't wait to see how he ends Wax & Wayne, and then how he ends the first half of Stormlight. I hope both endings are just as incredible.

      Thaidakar the Ghostblood

in hero of ages when he says that the ash should be red because it makes more sense when talking to Sazed. he says, "red, now that's bold. it really says, "look, now that evil force is trying to kill me!"" (paraphrased)

Ooooo smort. I didn’t see that.

    4. Iron-Eyes

      Iron-Eyes

Yeah, it just seems so natural that evil should be red.

  16. Bookwyrm lashes himself upward to stop himself from humiliatingly sliding all the way down, then slowly continues down into the darkness.
  17. Bookwyrm glances around to try and find the source of the voice.
  18. He did fall from an aircraft. As for debris.....I would say no.
  19. "I guess..." Bookwyrm flared tin to see if he could see all the way down the hall.
  20. I don't have the background research or knowledge to know exactly how high the fall was from, but generally, it doesn't matter. The height was that of a low-flying aircraft, and it was enough to kill him.
  21. "Uh...okay, then." Bookwyrm continued to follow Nameless through the dark corridor. I hope nothing drastically sudden happens to us, he thought.
