Boys. Not ONLY boys, but... Boys.
The Bookwyrm replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Why would I develop a crush on someone I've never met? Most of why I'd be attracted to someone is in personality. No matter how they look. -
Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
The Clinic: Library Bookwyrm walked over to a portion of the library and gestured for Calano, Matra, and Pyro to follow. A large chalkboard appeared on one section of the wall with smaller chalkboards surrounding it. Bookwyrm copied the set of runes onto one of the chalkboards, then the coordinates and some other unfamiliar numbers on another. Then he pulled out the Puzzle stone and copied the rune carved into it onto a third chalkboard. "This might take a few hours, but with your help, I should be able to figure out the precise coordinates, plus how to get there. There will be lots of math. And magic...and possibly linguistics. But we should be able to figure it out." Bookwyrm turned to Pyro. He noticed that Pyro was wearing strange gloves. But he pushed the thought out of his mind. Irrelevant right now. "I know Matra is good at translating runes, but do you have any skills that could help us in these calculations?" he asked Pyro. "Oh, and Calano? Do you think you could find me an interdimensional atlas of this multiverse somewhere in the library? I need it for part of my calculations." @Ookla the Crow @Ookla the Shadowed @PyroPhile -
A goat is like a virus. Resilient. Highly contagious. And even the smallest seed of a goat can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you. It's the goat that didn't go off. The goat that no one knew was real. That's the goat with the power to change the world.

How do you imagine your fellow Sharders?
The Bookwyrm replied to S. Stormy's topic in General Discussion
@Ookla the Pencil Taxi...I imagine you as blonde (probably because of a past PFP), perhaps 15-17 age, and being energetic. @Ookla the BlowUpperOfStuff....I imagine you with brown hair, somewhere in 15-16 (but to the younger end of that) and being even more energetic. And the kind of person that people think is weird, but you care not. In fact, you want them to think you're weird. @Ookla the 3 Frogs ina Coat...You're hard to imagine In Real Life. My entire assumption of who you are as a person comes from your activity on the Shard...and I don't quite know how to translate that into a mental image of someone. I suspect you're a very interesting and fun person to be around, though. @Ookla the Quark You're also hard to peg. Your PFP comes to mind whenever I try to imagine you. I'm pretty sure you're older than the rest of us, though. ...Whatever you look like, you might have a shadow in your close vicinity...whether that's in the mirror or out of it. And that's all the people who've posted recently. This totally isn't because I want to know how people imagine me. -
The Battle for the Sandwich

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin: Central Cellar "That's probably our best option right now. We have all the information we need. And I need some time to decipher the coordinates and figure out what the Puzzle Stone means." Bookwyrm turned to Pyro. "I'm not sure who you are or where you came from, but we're glad to have you." He smiled kindly. "I'm sure Calano would be happy to give you a tour of the Clinic. Or Lark, [@Ookla the Untitled] if he's still around." Bookwyrm turned back to Calano. "I might be able to contact some Worldseers to find the rest of the villagers and bring them to the clinic. There aren't many of us in this multiverse...the last time we had large numbers here was when the Archives were created. But there should be a few agents around that I can ask to help. In the meantime, we should probably make sure the rest of the refugees are okay..." Bookwyrm summoned a Wyrmhole for the four of them, then walked through. @PyroPhile @Ookla the Shadowed -
The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
The Bookwyrm replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Rym had caught up to Bookwyrm. He drew his Mordite Sword and began fighting as Bookwyrm summoned his Narrationblade. Bookwyrm halted a squad of guards by Narrating a pile of pineapples that plowed into them, disarming the few stragglers with his glimmering Blade.- 111832 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
The Bookwyrm replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Rym shrugged. "Not really. I'm a Narrator's Avatar; that comes with some perks. Including the fact that the sword can't be separated from me. If someone tries to steal it, a Narration brings it right back. Unless I want someone else to have it, of course." *** Bookwyrm sensed his Avatar start a conversation with Unintelligible. That's fine. I should be able to take care of this by myself. He followed the group to the door of Subversion's base.- 111832 replies

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin: Central Cellar Bookwyrm picked up the Puzzle Stone and studied it, looking at the rune carved on it's face. "We should head back to the Clinic," he said. "That gives us a little break, and also gives me time to figure out the coordinates, and how the stone fits into it all. "Also, there are a group of villagers-with various powers-that fled Tal'rin rather than hiding. We should locate them and bring them back to the Clinic." @Ookla the Crow @Ookla the Shadowed -
Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm started walking back towards the Central Cellar, and responded as he did so. "They're part of a special coordinate system created by the Worldseers. We're an interdimensional organization. Observers. Seers, of many worlds. Hence the title 'Worldseers'. "Because interdimensional travel between universes and multiverses is so important for us, we created a coordinate system for difficult pathways. The numbers provide information that, when cross referenced with the parameters given in the other runes, and when compared with the general interdimensional structure of this multiverse, should lead us to a specific location." @Ookla the Crow -

I want to write a book that's an international espionage spy action thriller story, but also an epic fantasy/alien invasion story.
And whatever you think when you think "alien invasion" is wrong.

Yeah I had a feeling I was off, but I like Ender’s game. Actually I like Ender’s Shadow more but that’s what comes into my head.
-
Ender's game is amazing! And Ender's Shadow is even better!
Also that sounds like a very cool book
-
I’m going to guess that “alien invasion” in this case is basically a classical invasion (politics, diplomacy, declaration of war, etc) than a “they just show up out of nowhere and start blowing stuff up” invasion.

Boys. Not ONLY boys, but... Boys.
The Bookwyrm replied to Channelknight Fadran's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Wasps. It's okay; I believe I also have a phobia of wasps. My brother is reading a book called Endless Forms: The Secret World of Wasps that talks about how wasps are cool and how important they are. Bees are important, but wasps are apparently just as important in different ways. -

"...I think your definition of 'cool' and your definition of 'experiment' differ slightly from mine." Bookwyrm turned to the group. "So we know that Subversion is in a base where we can't teleport. Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm searched the charred ruins for any sign of Insa. Storms, I hope she's okay...he thought. After a few more minutes of searching, Bookwyrm tried a different tactic. He reached out with his mind. The familiar presence of Insa wasn't too far, but it was...guarded. He couldn't pinpoint it's location. But...it felt safe. With a touch of his future sight, Bookwyrm was able to tell that Insa was probably in the best place she could be right now. I still owe her an apology later... Bookwyrm turned to Calano and Matra. "Insa...has something else she needed to do. But we don't have to worry about her. Come; let's head back to the cellar." @Ookla the Crow @Ookla the Shadowed -

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Ruins of Tal'rin Bookwyrm, who had finished his explanation to Calano and Matra, turned. "Hey, Insa, can you-" he paused. "Where's Insa?" Even as he asked this question, his mind began whirring, spinning through possibilities of what could have happened. Kaos doesn't have influence here. The villagers are all gone. The town is abandoned. I don't sense anything. She wouldn't just- ...Oh, sparks. Bookwyrm turned, and without waiting for a response from Calano and Matra, ran up the stairs. He hoped they followed him. @Ookla the Crow @Ookla the Shadowed @Ookla the Myopic @InfiniteInsanity
