  1. He was healed by Nalan (a.k.a. Nale) - a different Herald altogether. The text suggests he had access to a healing fabrial, probably similar to the one Dalinar sees in one of his visions.
  2. Yeah, I saw the posters only later. Been an expensive couple of months...
  3. No, that's right, I was thinking of the symbols on the side. They are the numbers. The ones inside the planets, as @Spoolofwhool correctly said, are the Radiant Orders' symbols.
  4. RIP money.
  5. Great questions and answers both! It is somewhat rare to get such good information from a signing, so good job on this.
  6. I would straight-up ask why the Drominad is "nicknamed" (Khriss' word) so. I asked this last year, but I doubt the answer has changed: Maybe I can offer you an alternative question? For example: There seems to be some relationship between dominant aspects of a Shardworld's Physical realm and the primary building block of its Cognitive realm (e.g. the Cognitive Realm around Scadrial looks misty, the one corresponding to Roshar is full of spheres). Is it possible to reliably deduce what a Shardworld's Cognitive realm will look like if we knew a lot about its Physical? Why spheres on Roshar? Something related to the highstorms makes more sense in my mind.
  7. RIP $100.
  8. No, those are the glyphs the Alethi use to represent numbers.
  9. Yeah, but I think that might be it. Brandon's meaning could've been lost in the report.
  10. I got too popular and went from a Dawnshard to an Unmade
  11. We recently got a WoB that the Heralds had no squires.
  12. Brandon doesn't charge anything - it's 100% the organizer(s) of the event, usually bookstores, libraries, and the likes.
  13. Either, since both are possible. Returned change their physical appearance because of a Cognitive being (i.e. their Divine Breath), so the Heralds might be able to do the same if they are similar enough in that regard. Or maybe they are not similar enough, and they can't just the appearance of their host. I don't think it's too important either way (though I learn towards the former).
  14. That's fair. Now that I think about it, maybe there is a more interesting - and twofold - related question: Does the prolonged Feruchemical use of a metalmind affect it physically (e.g. wear and tear) or magically (e.g. more efficient storage)? Though by phrasing the question like this it opens Brandon more doors to just say "yes" and grin mischievously.
  15. Fleet is the only one I could think of as well, and it didn't make much sense to me either. Was it Hoid who spoke of the Iriali Long Trail?
  16. Ah, yes, I remember now. Poop. Also, the myth Hoid references in Words of Radiance? I don't remember it, can someone jog my memory?
  17. I can't imagine a scenario where they wouldn't. We know that physical beings can, we know that cognitive beings can, and we now know that even animals can. I plan to, but if you beat me to it I'll just ask something else Here's an innocent question from my list if you are looking for something that is unlikely to get RAFO'd: do Feruchemical metalminds experience wear and tear? In other words, if a Bloodmaker Ferring uses the same gold metalmind their entire life, would anything happen to the gold itself?
  18. Pretty much this. Though I choose to interpret this as supporting evidence for my theory that the Heralds possess different bodies with each Desolation, while maintaining the same Cognitive aspect.
  19. Get your friends to join you and be a pantheon.
  20. Before this conversation goes to crazytown, I should point out that the WoB is not entirely correct. See this Reddit thread for full context. Mistborn: Secret History spoilers
  21. That was essentially the primary argument of the theory. The Shadows of Self (and The Bands of Mourning?) Ars Arcanum touches a little bit on the nature of the Resonances. Recall what Khriss says there - that mixing powers, mixing investitures, often (always?) results in additional effects unaccounted for by either power. So with this in mind, I think the argument that the Radiants' Resonances come from the interaction of their Surges (i.e. two powers) is a little better supported than the one that claims they come from spren (at least some of which we strongly suspect contain only one type of investiture - e.g. honorspren and cultivationspren).
  22. Can you refer me to a write-up of your theory? I vaguely remembering seeing it some time ago, but I don't remember any of the details (or even a general idea).
  23. May the odds be ever in your favor.
  24. I think it is unwise to try to deduce an Order's Resonance(s) by trying to mechanically combine the Surges available to them. You need to do a lot of mental gymnastics to arrive at the Windrunners' "strength of squires" by starting with "Adhesion" and "Gravitation." I believe there has to be some connection between the Surges and the Resonance(s), but I doubt it's an obvious or even a direct one. Of course, my attempts to stomp out crackpot theorycrafting hasn't had any actual effect in the past, so who am I to speak...
