I really love his writing style and one of the few authors whose writing style is unique. Creating an alien-ish world and making it sound believable is his greatest strength. And also the insults . Just love them.

Just Got my hardcover for the book after 2 weeks This is one of those books for which I just can't wait... I've halfway down the book and it's amazing. As awesome as the first one Anybody else read it??

I agree with your theory because even I have the same thing in my mind. I suspect that the Honorblades can change shapes giving Szeth's blade the smaller shape...

Also in WoK there is a statue of Nalan holding his sword aptly named as the 'sword of retribution'..

I personally like the theory of Szeth's blade being Jezrien's Honourblade. The size may be smaller but then again , it is mentioned that honorblades are more powerful than shardblades, It may allow a change of size.. Assuming this is correct, the blade may allow Szeth's windrunning powers. If he had some other Herald's honorblade , his powers may have been diffferent... Also I think Kaladin may pick up Szeths blade in WoR... (feel free to crush this theory)...

I was wondering on how a surgebinder takes in stormlight??? Kaladin and Szeth take it in by inhalation.In the ars arcanum the Body focus for Jez (windrunners) is given as Inhalation. So is it different for each KR order??? I've read the Steelhunt chapter but don't want to include it in this. Don't want to spoil that for others..

I love the prologue of WoK. The Heralds abandoning the oath pact, my favorite part of the book, just gives me the chills... As for a non-Sanderson book, the duel in Storm Of Swords between the mountain and Oberyn Martell is awesome,This is the magnum opus of battle scenes .Another one of my favorite scenes is the battle of Dumai Wells in Lord of Chaos,The Asha'man's violence was shocking and unimaginable, but it is written so brilliantly that I love it...

IIRC Ruin was of a invasive nature and could insert thoughts into a person and Preservation could hear the thoughts of a person . So the thing I have a problem is that how could Kelsier talk to in HoA while he 'hijacked' Preservation after Leras died.

If it was nightblood, wouldn't it talk to other people in their mind. It may be a sword from nalthis , but I personally doubt it being Nightblood.

The song sure suits the setting. Also 'supremacy' by muse seems like a perfect song for the first book. It just fits perfectly.
