Yes, this makes sense. The timeline is a little tight, but it works.

I think it's a sort of middle point between Hemalurgy and Fabrials. It uses some of the basic mechanics of Hemalurgy, but employs the powers and sources of fabrials. I assume each polestone/Spren works in different bind points with different things. A heliodor with a flamespren in the eyes gives you heat vision, while one with windspren might give you the ability to see motion. A ruby in the shoulders, could maybe allow you to absorb kinetic energy? A amethyst could let you project it?

The book did answer that, he somehow pitted them against each other, and killed whoever won.

It wouldn't fit with the rest of them to be concepts, the rest are all psychical things, Time is possible, but I think the sea is more likely. I wonder if there's a singerform for breathing underwater?

Yes, I suspect he would have died a few years earlier. Violently.

Odium is Hazbero???

What do you mean? Whimsy?

I also think it might be possible not all sides are the same, they just kind of... Rhyme? Since we can't just pretend two letters that are similar, but not the same are identical. ba-ado-mishram 6a-Qd0-NNLsraw It's worth considering at least. The former makes sense yea. If the latter is true... I have no idea For all we know, that combo glyph might be an S, a K, and an E!

If I remember right, it was close to literally breaking the binding of the book

I think that's just as simple as him going beyond. He's not claimed by the God Beyond, he's just choosing to leave this world behind. His soul belongs to himself, first and foremost. He was under no obligation to serve Odium, not like if he lost, and thus Odium has very little power over him.

Honestly, I have no idea. I was thinking about the same thing. I assume they might have stayed at lasting integrity, or gone to some other city when everything exploded.

Yeah It was a convenient trick to help line up the timelines of roshar with mistborn, tress, and the secret novels.

I would assume so, or nearly the same. The cognitive is shaped by sentients in the world, so even if the cognitive isn't directly effected (It probably is), the perceptions of time should affect it. As above. It's probably affected by the same investiture storm, but if it isn't, everyone's perceptions should do it anyway. Yes, Sel has some time warping, due to the "closeness" of the shard's power warping spacetime, but the cognitive realm shouldn't act like the spiritual. It's dangerous to get there cus of the GIANT PLASMA STORM THAT BLANKETS THE ENTIRE SUBASTRAL. It should still follow the normal cognitive realm rules. I assume it's just cause they're magical, instant, and work across all realms. Way better than a letter, no? I doubt it. They're relative to motion, so they're probably relative to time too. It might be harder to go for an exact time, since time's passage is changing, but overall it should remain the same.

I assumed anything the honor blades can grant, he can too. He effectively learned how to do all the surges from the honor blades, with investiture it can grant *any* of them. I suspect, if you stick him in a room with a bunch of medallions with the various allomantic and feruchemical arts, I bet he could grant those too. Maybe if you put it in Elantris, the city might teach him Aons, but that remains to be seen. When He's holding it, sure. Hoid is significantly less invested than a vessel. Unless he's holding a dawnshard, that is. If he's holding a dawnshard, I suspect something terrible would happen when Nightblood and a dawnshard clash.

Would you post the plain page without adornment? I realized the L-y and L-TH are one stroke and I'm curious if that has any implications. Maybe they're smashing together the sound? Or trying to mimick something that's not in Alethi? Like a true J sound?

“Unite Them!” – Cultivation’s Cosmere Plan
Argenti replied to Confused's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah you kinda cooked here. -
Notably, we're going to get WAY more information on this come the stormlight RPG, the adventure "stonewalkers" is supposedly all about this.

Well, you can't just separate the dawnshards from the shards, the dawnshards where the weapon that shattered them after all, it would make sense for them to effect how the shards for. I honestly think the whole splitting the shards into categories is silly. It's been made pretty clear that the shards are aspects of Ado's personality, shredded into parts that match the people that were nearby. Imagine trying to shove the aspects of your personality into 4 neat boxes, it's pretty difficult right? I would presume a full, complete god is more complex than four key traits, just as much as we are.

Yeah I agree that's it's Hemalurgy adjacent, the only question is how close. I expect it's not 1:1, and uses the polestones instead of the 16 metals, but the question is how much they can replicate, and how much overlap they have. Investiture sights is close to iron sight, but they're not quite the same. It's more like life sense. Does the polestones change the effect? The spren? I assume it's much the same as the polestones in fabrials. What are the chances the spikes are heliodors?
-
I think It's less knights radiant, more voidbinding. I expect we'll see more Voidbinding in the second half, now that Honor and Odium are one shard. Notably, Cultivation is not gone, just most of her shardic power. At the very least, the spren are still there, so some portion of her power is still around.

Kelsier's Decension? Is Harmony "wrong"?
Argenti replied to Qianweilian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Kelsier isn't mortal. He's a shadow. -
Looks like it, Wobs aren't cannon until they're in the book.

Kelsier's Decension? Is Harmony "wrong"?
Argenti replied to Qianweilian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
What he was talking about was when Vin took up the well of ascension, then let the power go. Releasing ruin was the wrong choice.- 40 replies

So, when Odium splintered DnD, he very purposefully put their power into the congestive realm. By doing this, he slowed it's awakening. I do agree with you on this, Retribution is the only threat to the Dor in the cosmere, harmony notwithstanding, so it makes sense it wants to respond to such a grave threat.
