      If there was a reason that their grandmother needed to know, then yes, I don't doubt that it could have been revealed to her.

    Well, I'm not a mod, so I can't say 100%, but I am aware of restrictions on special characters in names. It's some sort of security issue If I remember right. Probably the same thing? (I just edited my signature I want to see if it worked.) Edit: No idea what the issue is. Worked for me.

    Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why this would be a security issue because birthdays are already out in the open; I mean, just click on my profile, and you'll see it. if you don't display your birthday, then it's assumed you don't want it out, and the site shouldn't send an email. I can't imagine it's terribly difficult to make a Bot that could scrape such things off our profiles anyhow.

    How do you suggest you power a car with allomancy? You would still be able to see the metal on the handle, especially if it's not near the aluminum.
