    Can I just geek about the Shadow and Bone Netflix show for a bit?!? I finished it a few months ago, but I just saw a terrible adaptation of another book that I love, and it really underscored what an AMAZING job they did on adapting Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows. 

    Even though the show is called Shadow and Bone, I thought that they honestly did better adapting the Six of Crows characters than the Shadow and Bone ones. While watching it, and even now that I'm done watching it, I can't BELIEVE what an INCREDIBLE job their casting director did!!!! Most of the characters were somehow exactly how I imagined them or did a good enough job acting the character that I was converted within their first episode. This applies especially to all of the Six of Crows characters and even more especially to Kaz! Freddy Carter was somehow BORN to play Kaz and it's beautiful to watch. Same with the characters that played the other 4 Crows who were pictured in that first season. 

    That was a rant, which probably not many of you care about :lol: lol. Feel free to continue with your day.

      I read all the books and really enjoyed them, so I want to watch the show - it looks so cool! Is there any content things I should know about?

      No, nothing that isn't in the books, and it's depicted a lot less graphically than it's written in the books. I would say that it's an average tv-14 tv show.

    I think that this is a really interesting idea! I would like to see this happen. BTW, you should post further theories in the theory boards under whatever category you think they fit in. This one would probably go under Cosmere Discussion. This forum is just for introducing yourself to the community. No worries though, I love your ideas!

    I think you should @Elf. They're very similar to the Raven Cycle books, so they're great.

    I love them all, but especially The moon and the Sunday one. Sundays often feel exacts the same to me, especially the loneliness part. The moon one is also really cool to me because I have always loved the moon and the stars.

    Yes, it does. The most recently commented on or posted theory moves up to the top. However, double posting is generally frowned upon by the mods, so waiting for others to post is more advisable. no worries tho. On another note, I like your theory! It's very well put together.

    I just finished Shiver and I haven't read the other books yet, but I thought it was good. It has a very different feel than the Raven Cycle, but the prose is still the same and it's amazing. I don't normally like paranormal romance books AT ALL, but this one was done really well. I'm going to read the rest of the series. I thought that it was just better than usual. You're probably right in your spoilered assumption. I just know that Maggie really likes taking her plots in ways that we don't think!

    Yes!!! I love your cover btw. Done o professionally, I might like your design better. I CAN'T WAIT TILL OCTOBER AHHHHHHHHH. Her climaxes are kind of like being hit in the head with a book and given a concussion. So many things Yes about bryde!! How does she do it?!? Lol. I wonder if Greywaren will *Shrug and extremely anticipatory squeals*

    Nobody's posted, so don't kill me for double posting please!!!! I finished Mister Impossible! I'm... Not sure how I feel. Ronan is making some very questionable decisions that I'm not sure I agree with. ALSO HE HUNG UP ON ADAM!!! I had more to say but I forgot, so I might edit this post later.

    So camping was fun and I read two books while there! Also I started school. Blergh.

      You whatwhen you went camping, why did you bring a book to the backcountry, you reckless fool. Seriously though, I hope you read ebooks, I can't imagine risking a paper book's safety.

      Weeeeeeeelllll... If we were going to the backcountry, I wouldn't have brought any books. But we went to a group site with a ton of family for a family reunion. Most people had trailers and we just stayed in camp, which had a big cabin full of tables, or we were floating the river. So i didn't think that my books were in danger of being destroyed I didn't take them on the river btw.

    Sorry for the two SUs so close to each other, but I have 2 more things. 

    Thing 4: I'm going camping over the weekend! It's going to be amazing. Idaho mountains might be the most beautiful place on earth.

    Thing 5: MY SISTER IS READING MISTBORN!  She listened to the first book last week and is on Well of Ascension now! I'm excited to get to talk to her about it. I was able to introduce her to the concept of a Sanderlanche last week
