He stole a spren? That seems wrong, somehow. I don't know why you would have been Roleblocked, but it doesn't mean Lopen knew you would attack him. He might not even been the one to do it. But the fact that it didn't show in the write-up implies that the attack was prevented, not defended against. I think you're probably right about this, but it isn't as certain as you seem to think. EDIT: Ninja'd. Lopen, what ability kept the kill out of the write-up? And if you're not Mraize, Iyatil, or Shallan, who are you?

Is it possible you were just Roleblocked? Also, when did Lopen claim Ghostblood?

@Haelbarde, I've got a a unique item. It has one more use in it; after that it will just be dead weight. I'm willing to part with it. EDIT: I don't suppose you'd be willing to give your life for it at some point in the future? After you've completed your goals, that is? I need to kill one more person. It doesn't have to be now, just sometime before the end of the game.

Can somebody post the Eliminator doc? I always enjoy reading those; they give so much more context to a game.

I think you mean: In other news, while searching for this, I discovered that the Questions RP has it's own dedicated wiki. So, wow.- 589 replies

Did you happen to miss this bit? Because otherwise, I'm not sure I follow you. RP and contribution are different, which is why they are addressed separately in the rules.- 589 replies

Nothing. I tapped the button by mistake while scrolling, and it's impossible to delete quotes while on mobile. So now I'm stuck with it.- 589 replies

Curse you, mobile quotes!!! @Assassin in Burgundy, that's excellent! You'll do great. Once Aman gives me an identity, maybe I'll join in with you and Doc. Be warned that literally everything I have ever heard about these books is contained in this thread.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
Wonko the Sane replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
If you've ever written anything, even fanfic -- especially fanfic -- it's basically that, but collaborative. Don't be afraid to make a fool of yourself; many of the rest of us have as little experience as you do. There's no pressure to write a bestseller. Just do your best to tell a good story, and have fun along the way.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
Wonko the Sane replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
To a point, yeah, but inactivity should be discouraged. Also, in this game, you will actually be getting points for activity, so it might be a good time to try reaching out and talking more than you usually do.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
Wonko the Sane replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
To be fair, it incentivizes RP and game contribution equally. If you don't want to RP, all you have to do is be more active in the discussion.- 589 replies

Mid-Range Game 17: Hic Sunt Leones
Wonko the Sane replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Questions: 1) Can I start multiple PMs with the same dataPad? Or would I need to acquire a new one for that? 2) What is the code for the blue and orange text used for cheering and ceasing? I'm on mobile more than PC.- 589 replies

Araris, I have a fairly valuable item I would be willing to give you. Would that mend the issues between us? I'm sorry to have attacked you, but I've got to kill a couple of people for one of my goals. You were the person on my world I had the least ties to. (I am now 0 for 3 on that, by the way. I'm a terrible murderer.)

I'll sign up. I know absolutely nothing about the material, and have no time to read it, so I'll take a character prompt, Aman.- 589 replies

Wilson, I'm very sorry that you've had a bad experience with this game, and I agree that many of the rules, while conceptually creative, are indeed very broken. Rules that can silence a player or allow a switch away from an open faction are detrimental to the game. I've felt guilty for a while now that I have, as you say, two easy goals and one difficult one. That's part of the reason I'm pushing for a longer game -- I know others aren't in as good a position as I am. If you'll recall, most of my interaction with you this game has been me trying to find ways to help you toward your goals. I think I can understand what leads you to believe it, but it nevertheless hurts a little that you would accuse me of mercenary intentions. Yes, I have a tendency to side with the Village if the opportunity presents itself. I enjoy the game more when I'm a Villager, and I'm better at it. So yeah, barring heavy incentives to the contrary, I'm going to do my best to be helpful to my fellow players. Is that such a negative playstyle? All that being said, you have convinced me that it's time we ended the game. It would be possible to engineer more wins out of this situation, but you're right -- they would lack substance. This game has fallen apart due to a number of colluding factors (though I disagree that any specific players are to blame), and further play promises to be lifeless and mechanical. Bugsy

Has everyone gone mad? You're running our metaphorical car straight at a wall, on the grounds that you're reasonably certain it's a trick of the light! If there is any chance killing bugsy would end the game, why would you ever take that risk? What do you stand to gain from killing him now, rather than waiting until more people have accomplished their objectives?

I don't think I'm going to get into a car accident today, but I'm still going to wear a seatbelt on my way home, because the potential risk is too great. Sart, you seem to think we're far more connected than we are. If there was such a thing as a Spiked doc, there is no way you would know what you do. Harmony is able to start one-on-one PMs with us, on day turns only. He has to pay for every message sent, and the cost doubles with every message. I, probably Harmony's third-in-command right now, have received and sent exactly one message. Wax may have had more, but probably not by much. It's just not worth it. Since the start of the game, this 'Spiked team' of yours has been at the very core of everything the Children have accomplished. We have done nothing but support the Village. Why have you suddenly decided that we can't be trusted? After my goals are finished, I intend to do my best to help those around me with theirs. I don't see why my compatriots would not do likewise -- especially with our grip on the game as firm as it is right now.

I will second that vote for Joe, because I want him to tell us more about who he is. Joe, right now you are the only player who has killed someone. That's a little worrying. Is there anything you can tell us to set our minds at ease?
